At approximately 7:25 AM officers were dispatched to the area of Fairbanks Road and Beacon Street for a report of a man with a knife threatening people on the MBTA Green line trolley. Once on scene officers began to search the area for the suspect and saw a man who matched the description walking towards Washington Street. Officers made contact with the suspect asking him if he was on the train and if he had a knife. The suspect confirmed that he was on the train, and that the knife was in a bag he was carrying. The reporting party then positively identified the suspect and the suspect was placed under arrest.
October 22, 2019
At approximately 3:30 PM dispatch received a call from Mount Auburn Hospital for a report of a cat bite that had occurred on Pearl Street. After contacting the victim they told police the following: at approximately 10:00 AM the victim was working in the home of the cat’s owner when she accidentally stepped on the cat which caused the cat to react and bite her ankle. The cat was not up to date on vaccinations and will be quarantined for testing.
At approximately 6:00 PM officers were dispatched to Hyslop road for a report of a past larceny from a motor vehicle. Once on scene officers met with the victim who told police the following: Approximately three days earlier, on the October 19th, the victim went to her car to retrieve her sunglasses. She noticed her personal items strew about the inside of the car and the center console was opened in the upright position. The only items she noticed missing was loose change from the center console. Initially she did not report the crime to the police. But after hearing about similar car breaks in the neighborhood she felt she should report it. Police are investigating.
