October 15, 2019 
At approximately 7:15 PM Officers responded to a report of an assault that just occurred in the area of 1773 Beacon Street. Once on scene officers met with the victim who told police the following: She stated that she had parked her car on Dean Road near Beacon Street and proceeded to cross the street.  As she was approaching the church, she was shoved from behind and fell to the ground.  The suspect then attempted to remove the victim’s backpack, while shouting racial insults and threatening further violence.  The victim began to fight back, kicking and screaming which caused her attacker to flee.  She then fled to the church and waited for police to arrive.  The suspect is described as a middle age, black male, with a medium build, approximately six feet tall.  Police are investigating.
