10/18/2017

On October 18, a woman came into the police department to report a larceny. The woman stated that items had been taken from her pocketbook while she was at work on Beacon Street. The incident is under investigation.

A man came into the police station to report a larceny from an automobile. The man stated that he had parked near the intersection of Dwight and Pleasant Streets and that equipment was taken from his truck. The incident is being investigated.

Early on October 19, in the area of the Muddy River Carlton Street footbridge, an officer observed a male party carrying what appeared to be women’s handbags and who appeared to take notice of the cruiser and deliberately walk away. The officer conducted a field interview and found that the man had two active warrants in his name. The man was placed under arrest.

At approximately 11:19 am an officer observed a vehicle make an illegal U-turn on Harvard Street. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found that the operator had an expired license and the vehicle’s registration was expired as well. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed.

An officer was dispatched to a business on Harvard St. for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated that a woman had entered the store and placed multiple items into her bag before leaving without paying. The incident is being investigated.

In the afternoon of October 19, officers were dispatched to a business on Harvard St. for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated that a woman had entered the store and concealed items in her baby stroller before leaving without paying. An officer located a woman matching the description on Centre St. and escorted her back to the store to pay for the items. The woman will be summoned to Brookline District Court.

At approximately 14:37 officers responded to a business on Boylston St. for a report of a bank robbery. The reporting party stated that a female had entered through the rear door and approached the counter. The woman showed a note to an employee which contained a threat of a gun though none was shown. The woman fled through the front doors. The matter is under investigation.

An officer was dispatched to a store on Beacon St. for a report of a shoplifter who had just left. The store manager stated that a woman had entered the store and took several items without paying. Officers located a woman matching the description and the manager was able to confirm that it was the suspect. The woman was placed under arrest.

An officer was dispatched to Winchester St. for a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated that a package had been confirmed as delivered but he never received it.

An officer was dispatched to Winchester St. for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated that he had attempted to make a purchase through Craigslist but after he transferred money to the other party, he never received his goods.

10/20/2017

In the morning of October 20, an officer responded to Commonwealth Ave. for a larceny report. The reporting party stated that on October 18 she had placed her bike in the private garage and when she went back it was gone. The bike lock was later found on Egmont Street. The incident is being investigated.

An officer was dispatched to Brook St. for a larceny report. The man stated that he had left his bike in his driveway unsecured overnight and it was gone in the morning.

An officer responded to Brookline High School and was informed of a larceny. The reporting party stated that multiple bags had been rummaged through and items were missing. The incident is under investigation.

Early on October 21st an officer responded to a residence on Babcock St. for the second noise complaint of the evening. The resident was advised and cited.

An officer was dispatched to Monmouth Ct for a report of a past breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated that she had left her vehicle parked in her driveway on October 17 and when she returned on the 21st, several items were missing.

An officer responded to St. Mary’s Court for a larceny report. The reporting party stated that sometime between October 11th and October 16th items had been taken from her home. The matter is being investigated.

Officers responded to Heath St. for a report of a pellet gun being shot through the window. The reporting party stated that someone had shot at her house creating a small hole in the window. The incident is under investigation.

10/22/2017

On October 22, an officer responded to Park Vale for a larceny report. The reporting party stated that a package had been stolen from her foyer.

Officers responded to Station St. for a report of an unarmed robbery. The reporting party stated that she had been sitting outside when a female grabbed her purse and attempted to take it. The reporting party stated that she yelled at the woman who then fled with a male party towards the T stop. Officers located two people matching the description on Brookline Avenue. Both parties were placed under arrest for Attempt to Commit a Crime—Unarmed Robbery.
