7-20-2017

Officers responded to an address on Vernon St for a report of identity theft.  The victim reports receiving several calls from a female party asking to send money to New York. This case is under investigation.
6:14 p.m.: An officer responded to an address on Babcock Street to a party who had been assaulted. After investigation one subject will be summonsed to Brookline District Court, and will be charged with Assault and Battery.

7-21-17
5:18 a.m.: Officers responded to the area of Pond Ave for an unattended death. Case is being handled by the detective unit.
12:41 p.m.: An officer responded to an address on Park Street for a larceny report. The party stated that she had reported other theft reports in the past. Elderly checkup reports to follow.
4:00 p.m.: An officer responded to an address on Bonad Road where a party reported a Breaking and Entering and Larceny of Property from a Motor Vehicle. The party stated they had left the vehicle unlocked and when returned to it had been rummaged through and items had been missing. There is no other information to report at this time.
An officer responded to the Horace James Rotary for a motor vehicle crash, both parties appeared to have minimal damage and the scene was left safely.
6:40 p.m.: An officer responded to the Brookline Police Station to take a General Information Report. The subject stated she was being sexually harassed by her ex-boyfriend. The party wanted her concern documented by the Police Station and the party was advised to apply for Harassment Prevention Order at the Brookline District Court.

7-22-2017

3:50a.m.:  Officers  responded to a radio call for a Bait Bike Activation. Brookline Dispatch announced over the air that the Bait Bike alarm was triggered, indicating movement of the bicycle. When units arrived on scene, the combination cable lock was lying on the ground next to the Stop Sign and appeared to have been cut in half. Multiple units immediately set up a perimeter of the area and waited on tracking updates from Dispatch.  Brookline Dispatch was able to direct units to the location of the bicycle. Brookline Dispatch announced that the bicycle was stationary in the rear of an address on Amory St.  This location is approximately a block away from the initial Bait Bike deployment location. As officers searched the area they were able to locate the bike in the back of a parked car.  The car had 2 occupants, and both were subsequently arrested and charged with  (MGL 266:30) Larceny of Property over $250.00, (MGL 266:126A) Vandalism of Property.
12:05 a.m.: Officers made a traffic stop of a vehicle on Winchester Street. The registered owner of the vehicle had a default warrant for his arrest.

7-23-2017

Officers were dispatched to the area of Cypress St/Franklin St to speak with a female party regarding a suspicious person.  After an investigation a subject was placed under arrest and charged with the following:  94C/34 Possession of Class B Drug and 90/23 Operating After Suspension.

An officer was assigned to the front desk, an anonymous citizen came into the station to return property he found while driving on Heath St. near Heath Hill Rd. The citizen observed a bag in the roadway picked it up and brought it to the police station.  The bag was placed in evidence locker for safe keeping.

Officers responded to an address on Fuller St for a larceny report. The victim reports having packages stolen from the lobby to the building.

Officers responded to West Roxbury Parkway at South Street for a motor vehicle crash with injury. After an investigation one vehicle was towed, one person went to the hospital, and was also cited for Following Too Closely (VII/4) under Town Rules and Regulations.
Officers responded to a business on Beacon Street  for a report of indecent exposure.  A description was broadcast and officers were able to locate the subject on the MBTA bus, as it was pulled over with its emergency sign activated.  After an investigation one subject was arrested and charged with: (265/13H) Indecent Assault and Battery on a Person over 14, (272/16) Open and Gross , (272/16) Open and Gross.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Brookline Ave and Aspinwall Ave for a reported B & E of or vehicle that had occurred the night before.  Officers observed damage to the vehicles ignition and wind shield wiper. Detectives were called to the scene to look for evidence. This investigation is still going on.

7-24-2017

While Officers were conducting traffic enforcement at the intersection of Washington St. and Brookline Ave Officers observed a dark colored sedan driver pass with a broken windshield and did not possess a valid inspection sticker. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Boylston St.  After an investigation the driver was placed under arrest and charged with the following: M.G.L. CH90 s. 10- Not Duly Licensed to Operate a Motor Vehicle, 540 CMR 4.04- Defective shield,  M.G.L. CH90 s.20- Fail to submit M/V for inspection
