12:31 a.m.: Officers were on patrol at Washington Street and
Boylston Street when they observed a vehicle travelling towards Harvard Street
with its headlights off. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of
Harvard and Homer Street. It was found that the operator’s right to operate a
motor vehicle in Massachusetts was suspended and revoked. The individual was
arrested and issued a citation for Operating after Suspension/Revocation of
license and Failure to Display Headlights. The vehicle was towed and the
operator’s driver’s license was seized and destroyed.
6:37 a.m.: While travelling eastbound on Boylston Street, an
officer observed a vehicle initiate a left turn onto Chestnut Hill Avenue
against a red traffic signal. A traffic stop was conducted on Chestnut Hill
Avenue during which the operator was unable to provide a driver’s license. Dispatch
did not locate RMV or BOP records for the individual and the officer formed the
opinion he was not duly licensed to operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts. He
was issued a Massachusetts Uniform Citation for Unlicensed Operation of a MV
and Red Light/Failure to Stop For and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
