Assault on Gibbs St.

On 6-29-2017 at approximately 1:25 a.m., a woman reported that she was sexually assaulted in the area of Gibbs Street and Naples Road. She was walking with a friend when a man approached them and assaulted her. The victim yelled out and the suspect fled on foot turning onto Naples Road toward Commonwealth Avenue. BPD units responded to the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. Boston and BU police were notified and an investigation is ongoing. He is described as a clean shaven black male, approximately 5’7”, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with information should contact the Brookline Police at 617-730-2222.
