Police Reports July 16, 2014
On July 16, an officer observed a vehicle fail to signal
while turning along Tappan St. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for
the driver’s license and registration. The driver did not have a license but
owned the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest for unlicensed operation
of a vehicle.
On July 16, an officer responded to a business on Commonwealth
Ave for a stolen cellphone. An employee left his phone in the restroom until he
noticed it missing. The matter is under investigation.
On July 16, an officer responded to a business on Beacon St
for a past larceny. The manager of the store reported that a cellphone that was
on display was stolen from the store sometime that day. That matter is under
investigation.
On July 16, officers responded to Boylston St for a report
of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The subject fled from the scene
with items taken from the vehicle and went into a parking lot. Officers started
a search and stopped an individual who fit the description of the subject. Based
on information obtained from the scene, the subject was placed under arrest for
breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.
On July 16, an officer responded to High St for a report of
malicious damage. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with an individual who
believed someone shot her window with a BB gun the night before. Based on information
obtained at the scene, there was more visible damage in other windows of the
building. The matter is under investigation.
