Traffic stop leads to Drug and Gun charges

At 1020 PM last evening an Officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area of 830 Boylston St., He stopped a vehicle occupied with two males, both parties extremely nervous in appearance. While interacting with the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle's interior. While the driver reached into the glove compartment for the registration, the officer continued to closely monitor his movements. Inside the glove compartment, visible to the officer, was a clear container with what was believed to be marijuana. Based upon further investigation, both parties were taken from the vehicle. Additional packages of what is believed to be marijuana were found. Also found under the driver’s seat was a loaded 9MM firearm. Both are to be arraigned today in Brookline Court.
