Police Reports 2/15-2/19

Sector 1

Shoplifting: 2/16 at 10:50 AM- Harvard St.

A TJ Maxx employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that he observed an individual conceal items in his clothing. The individual was placed under arrest for Shoplifting.

B&E: 2/16 at 5:52 PM- Pleasant St.

Officers responded to a residential alarm on Pleasant St. Officers were able to determine that forced entry had been made via a window. Officers were not able to locate a suspect. It is unknown if anything was stolen from the residence.

Not Duly Licensed: 2/18 at 11:17 AM- John St. / Babcock St.

An officer observed a MV take an illegal left turn from Harvard St onto Green St. The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop at John and Babcock St. A license and registration check revealed that the operator did not have a valid license. The driver was placed under arrest for Unlicensed Operation.

Sector 2

Receiving Stolen Property: 2/17 at 8:50 PM- Carlton St. / Colchester St.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had a warrant for her arrest out of Concord District Court. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Colchester St. and Carlton St. The passenger was confirmed to be the registered owner of the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle had an expired license and a warrant out of Cambridge District Court. The operator and the passenger were both placed under arrest for their respective warrants. A search of the vehicle revealed various credit cards and MBTA Charlie Cards that did not belong to either of the arrestees. Both individuals were charged with 5 counts of Receiving Stolen Credit Card.

OUIL: 2/18 at 1:51 AM- St. Paul St.

An officer observed a vehicle travel through a red light onto St. Paul St. The officer initiated a traffic stop on St. Paul St. Upon reaching the driver’s window the officer could detect an odor of alcohol emanating from his person. Based on the officer’s observations the driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor.

Sector 3

Malicious Damage: 2/16 2:36 AM- Beacon St.

Officers observed a vehicle parked on Beacon St. with smashed front and rear driver side windows. Officers were able to make contact with the owner of the vehicle who stated that the damage occurred between 7:30 PM and 2:36 AM. There was nothing reported missing from the vehicle.

Sector 4

Not Duly Licensed: 2/19 at 1:05 AM- Harvard St.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that it did not have an inspection sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Harvard Street. A further query revealed that the operator did not have a valid license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating without a License.

Sector 5

B&E Arrest: 2/16 at 7:29 AM- Strathmore Rd.

Officers responded to Strathmore Rd. for the report of a breaking and entering in progress. Residents stated that they heard loud banging coming from the kitchen and observed a rear kitchen door had been smashed in. The victims stated that they then left through a front door. Officers were able to locate a suspect in the rear stairwell of the building. The suspect was placed under arrest.
