Shoplifting: Occurred on 1/31at 9:51 PM- Beacon St./Harvard St.
Officers responded to a report of a possible shoplifter at the intersection of Beacon St. and Harvard. Officers spoke with two Trader Joe’s employees who stated that they observed a man place multiple items into a personal bag and walk out of the rear of the store without paying. The employees stated that they yelled to the man to stop, and followed him to a parking lot where they confronted him. The suspect could not produce a receipt for the items that were in his bag. The suspect was placed under arrest for shoplifting.
Arrest: Occurred on 1/31 at 9:15 PM- Hammond St.
An officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Hammond St. and Laurel Rd. A query of the driver revealed that he had an expired license. The operator was placed under arrest and issued a citation for Operating After Expiration. The operator’s license was seized and his vehicle was towed.
Burglary: Occurred on 1/31 between 8:15 AM and 5:30 PM- Alton Pl.
Officer responded to an Alton Pl. residence to take a report of a Breaking and Entering and Larceny. When the resident returned home, she noticed obvious pry mark damage to the front door, consistent with damage from another Breaking and Entering on Alton Pl. The victim reported several items missing from bedrooms.
Burglary Attempt: Occurred on 1/31 between 1:30 and 5:00 PM- Alton Pl.
Officer responded to an Alton Pl. residence to take a report of a Breaking and Entering attempt. The victim stated that upon returning home he noticed that the front door was broken, with pry marks on the door frame. The damage was consistent with another house break on Alton Pl. Nothing was reported missing from any of the apartments.
Burglary: Occurred on 1/31 between 1:40 and 3:00 PM- Summit Ave.
Officers responded to a Summit Ave residence for a burglary report. The officers spoke with the victim’s dog walker, who stated that he had left the house, and when he returned the dead bolt was locked. The victim did not have a key for the dead bolt. The victim led officers into the house through a back door, and noticed that several items were missing from the dining room and his bedroom. The suspect appeared to have locked the dead bolt to the front door and exited out the rear door.
Arrest: Occurred on 1/31 at 5:50 PM- Thornton Rd.
Officers responded to Thornton Rd for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The caller stated that there was a man sitting in a gold car acting suspicious. The officer approached the driver, who stated that he was a pizza delivery driver who had just made a delivery. A query of the man’s information revealed that his license was suspended and he had a default warrant out of Quincy district court. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension and the default warrant.
