Oct. 22nd – Oct. 25th

Arrest

Occurred 7:55 AM (10/22) – Harvard St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a valid driver’s license to operate in Mass. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Occurred between 5:25 PM and 6:30 PM (10/22) – Brington Rd. / Boylston St.

While monitoring traffic, police observed a motor vehicle travel through a red traffic light and executed a traffic stop. A query of the driver’s information was conducted which revealed a suspended Mass. driver’s license. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension and for failing to stop for a red light.

Occurred 6:38 PM (10/22) – Washington St. / Salisbury Rd.

Police observed a motor vehicle travel through a red signal light and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his Mass. driver’s license had been revoked. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after revocation, attaching plates, and failing to stop for a red light.

Occurred 8:32 PM (10/22) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a traffic crash. Upon arrival, officers observed a male subject slouched behind his steering wheel with an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. Based on officer’s observations of the driver’s intoxicated appearance, the driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and further charged with having an open container in his vehicle and being not duly licensed.

Occurred 10:56 PM (10/23) – Beacon St. / Summit Ave.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed the driver behaving in a manner consistent with someone under the influence of drugs. Officers subsequently ran a query of the driver’s information and discovered that his driver’s license had been revoked. Police later found several syringes and bottles of pills in the vehicle. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after revocation and operating under the influence of drugs. He was further charged with providing a false name/address to officers, forging an inspection sticker, and making an illegal left hand turn.

Occurred 3:54 AM (10/24) – Boylston St.

While on patrol, police observed a male subject behaving suspiciously and conducted a field investigation. Upon doing so, officers discovered a pair of wire cutters on the suspect and observed bikes with fresh slashes to their locks from the area the suspect had been seen coming from. Police subsequently placed the suspect under arrest for attempting to commit a crime, conspiracy to commit a crime and malicious damage to property. Officers also located two other suspects who had fled prior to the investigation and placed them under arrest for the above offenses as well.

Occurred 11:23 AM (10/25) – Clark Rd.

Police responded to a report of a couple acting suspiciously around houses in the area. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the caller who described the pair as a white male with a shaved head and tall white female with spiked hair and glasses. Officers located the suspects and conducted a field investigation in which numerous burglarious tools were found in the suspects’ possession. Also a nearby house had a cut out window screen. The suspects were subsequently placed under arrest for breaking and entering and possession of burglarious tools.

Larceny

Occurred between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM (10/17) – Winthrop Rd.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. The victim stated that sometime while he was briefly in the basement of his building, his laptop computer was stolen from his bedroom. He informed police that his roommate along with two other males were in the apartment during this time. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:00 PM (10/21) and 8:00 AM (10/22) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when he woke up; he discovered his wallet missing from his bedroom desk. He informed officers that the only other person that had been in his room or had access to his wallet was his neighbor. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 10:00 AM and 11:45 AM (10/23) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a past shoplifting from a local store. Officers met with the reporting party, the store manager who stated that sometime while the store was very busy, a female suspect came into the store and stole several pairs of glasses. The suspect is described as a white female in her forties; approximately 5’3”with a heavy set build, and an arm in a sling. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM (10/24) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny from a local yoga center. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that while he was at work, an unknown suspect stole his 18” Sony laptop computer from the front desk. Police believe the suspect gained entry through the front door. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:00 AM (10/21) and 5:57 PM (10/25) – Euston St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. Officers met with the victim who stated that while she was at work, a package she was expecting was delivered to her home. When she arrived home, she discovered the package missing. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Fraud

Occurred between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM (10/21) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a credit card fraud. The victim stated that she was notified by her bank that someone had used her credit card twice at a store in California. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 10:00 AM (10/22) and 6:30 PM (10/24) – Cottage St.

Police responded to a report of a past burglary. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that she believed someone had entered her home through an open kitchen window between the above dates. Items reported missing include loose change and a spare house key. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:55 PM and 8:34 PM (10/22) – Park St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary from a local residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when she arrived home, she discovered her apartment had been entered. Items reported missing include her jewelry, pocketbooks, and loose change missing. Police believe the suspect gained entry though the rear bedroom window and will be conducting a follow-up investigation.

Occurred between 11:15 AM and 2:45 PM (10/23) – Prescott St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary from a local residence. The reporting party stated that when he went to the first floor of his home, he discovered a glass jar which contained loose change upside down on the kitchen countertop and empty. At this time, he contacted his roommates to inform them and when they arrived home they further reported a laptop computer, IPod, computer accessories, mountain bike, and loose change missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 12:01 AM (10/25) – Hawthorn Rd.

Police responded to a breaking and entering in progress. The victim stated that as he was walking from the third floor to the second floor of his home, he discovered a person standing on the second floor landing. The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival and is described as a dark skinned male, approximately 5’4”, with a small build. Police were unable to locate the suspect but are conducting a follow-up investigation.

Occurred 12:34 AM (10/25) – Hawthorn Rd.

While responding to a live breaking and entering across the street, police observed a worried homeowner and questioned him if everything was okay. At this time, the subject informed police that as him and his wife were sleeping; they were awoken by a loud banging noise coming from the first floor of their home. Upon checking out the first floor, he discovered a dining room window completely opened and suspected that someone may have attempted to enter his home. Police believe this incident may be related with an earlier incident and are conducting a follow-up investigation.

Unarmed Robbery

Occurred 9:02 PM (10/22) – Devotion St.

Police responded to a report of an unarmed robbery. Officers met with the victim who stated that as he was walking towards his apartment, two male subjects approached and threatened him to give them his personal belongings. The suspects were able to get away with the victim’s wallet, cell phone, and house keys. Police were unable to locate the suspects but will be conducting a follow-up investigation.

Motor Vehicle Theft

Occurred between 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM (10/23) – Freeman St.

Police responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while he was visiting a friend, he parked his vehicle in a guest parking spot. When he returned to his vehicle a few hours later, he discovered it missing. The vehicle reported missing is a black 2007 BMW sedan. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 5:00 PM (10/24) and 12:30 PM (10/25) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle. Officers met with the victim who stated that his vehicle was damaged, possibly by a bike. A six inch scratch on the vehicle was observed by officers and a report was filed.
