July 7th – July 8th

Malicious Damage


Occurred between 6:00 PM (6/28) and 10:00 AM (6/30) – Babcock St.


Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a property. The reporting person stated that he observed a large vine that had fallen off of the side of his building. Upon closer inspection, he noticed that the vine appeared to have been sawed through and discovered three more vines had also been cut down. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred between 7:00 PM (7/06) and 9:00 AM (7/07) – Dean Rd. / Druce St.


Police responded to a report of malicious damage to town property. Upon inspection, officers discovered three stop signs that had been spray painted. Police are following up on the case.


Larceny


Occurred 2:06 PM (7/07) – Commonwealth Ave.


Police responded to a report of a past larceny. The victim stated that while at the gym the previous night, her purse was stolen from her locker. She had left her locker key on an exercise machine for a brief moment and discovered it missing when she returned. Police are following up on the case.


Graffiti


Occurred between 2:30 AM (7/06) and 11:53 PM (7/07) – Washington St.


Police responded to a report of graffiti. The reporting person stated that he left his work truck in a store parking lot after completing his shift the previous night. When he returned to his work vehicle the following morning, he discovered graffiti on the driver’s side of the truck. Police are following up on the case.


Arrest


Occurred 12:15 AM (7/08) – Boylston St. / High St.


Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, it was discovered that the driver’s right to operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts had been suspended. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle after suspension and further charged with speeding.


Occurred 9:42 AM (7/08) – Beacon St.


While patrolling, officers observed a motor vehicle with a rejected inspection sticker and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, it was discovered that the operator’s driver’s license had been suspended. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle after suspension.


Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle


Occurred between 4:00 PM (7/07) and 9:30 AM (7/08) – Tabor Pl


Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that she parked her car in front of her house the previous night and left it unlocked. When she returned to her vehicle the following morning, she discovered several items missing. Police are following up on the case.


Fraud


Occurred 6:20 PM (7/07) – Kennard St


Police responded to a report of credit card fraud. The victim stated that when he checked his bank account the previous night, he noticed that someone had used his debit/credit card to purchase airline tickets to Brazil. He informed police that he did not make this purchase or give anyone the authorization to do so. Police are following up on the case.
