May 13th - 17th

Arrest

Occurred 1:45AM (5/13) – 1 Summit Park

Officers observed a vehicle idling in a posted “No Parking” zone. After further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was discovered to be under the influence of drugs and in possession of a SWAT knife. The driver was subsequently arrested for carrying a dangerous weapon, receiving stolen property, possession of fireworks, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.

Occurred 7:44PM (5/13) – Boylston St.

Officers responded to a report of a habitual trespasser. The subject had an active no trespass order for the property in question. After further investigation, officers arrested the subject for resisting arrest and trespassing.

Occurred between 3:53AM and 4:30AM (5/16) – Boylston St.

Police observed a parked running vehicle with the driver slumped down over the steering wheel. When the officer approached, he noticed the driver was asleep and that there was a pool of vomit on the road and the inside door. After waking the driver and further conversation, the officer became concerned that the driver was intoxicated. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.

Occurred 7:55AM (5/17) – Clinton Rd.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, it was found that he did not have a Massachusetts driver’s license. The driver was subsequently arrested for being not duly licensed.

Malicious Damage

Occurred 10:53AM (5/14) – Greenough St.

Police responded to a report of malicious destruction. The caller, an employee at Brookline High School, stated that a student had intentionally destroyed another student’s sweatshirt. After further investigation, the student was arrested for malicious destruction of property.

Occurred between 12:28PM (5/6) and 12:28PM (5/13) – Egmont St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that her dining room window had been broken. The damaged window is located in the rear of the building and faces a back parking lot. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:00PM (5/15) and 8:30AM (5/16) – High St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that he noticed his vehicle was having trouble accelerating. When he attempted to find the problem, he observed that a wig had been stuck in the tailpipe. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 9:00AM (5/3) and 12:36PM (5/17) – Boylston St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that every spring he plants flowers in front of his store and that recently someone has been stomping and pulling on them. A young male with two dogs has been seen stomping on the plants. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:30AM (4/17) and 6:30PM (5/17) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that his bedroom window had been broken by a small rock. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering

Occurred between 8:30PM (5/13) and 7:30AM (5/14) – Kenwood St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he had parked his vehicle in the driveway and returned in the morning to find the driver’s side door slightly ajar and the glove box open. The victim’s GPS unit was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 3:50AM (5/17) – Columbia St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The caller stated that he awoke to his roommate’s car alarm going off. When he went to check on the vehicle, he noticed that the car had been rummaged through but that nothing appeared to have been taken. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred 12:29PM (5/13) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a white female fleeing a local supermarket after stealing a pocketbook. The subject was said to have entered a taxi after she was prevented from leaving the store in her own vehicle by security. Officers located the taxi and found the subject in the backseat. After identifying the female, it was found that she had an outstanding warrant. Upon further investigation, the subject was arrested for larceny from a person and the warrant.

Occurred 1:30AM (5/2) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a stolen wallet. The victim stated that he had been leaving a local restaurant when he dropped his money on the floor. The victim then picked up the money, placed his wallet back in his pocket, and left. Later that same day, the victim realized his wallet was now missing. The wallet contained cash, a debit card, and two forms of ID. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 1:40PM (5/14) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a local TJ Maxx. The caller, an employee, stated that he witnessed the suspect take a pair of shoes and place them into her bag. After a check of the bag, items from another local store were also located. The suspect was arrested for shoplifting.

Occurred between 11:00AM (5/13) and 6:05PM (5/14) – Harvard St.

Victim reported to police that her wallet had been stolen. The victim stated that she was shopping at a local supermarket when she left her purse for a moment to grab an item. When she returned, the victim immediately noticed that her wallet was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:00AM and 10:00AM (5/17) – Euston St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that someone had stolen a mirror off of her scooter. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 5:00PM (5/13) and 5:45AM (5/14) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of damage to a front door of a local hair salon. Upon arriving on scene, officers observed that a glass panel on the front door had been completely removed. It appeared the suspect attempted to break the window with a concrete rock before prying the glass from the frame with a tool. The computer system seemed to be targeted. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:30PM (5/15) and 12:01AM (5/16) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that upon returning to her apartment, she noticed that her laptop computer and charger were missing. Both the front door and the rear door were locked when the victim returned but the screen was removed from the rear kitchen window. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 3:00PM and 11:25PM (5/15) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that when she arrived home, she noticed that the window area of her apartment looked different. The rear window, located next to the fire escape, appeared to be unlocked and a potted plant was bent as if it had been caught in the window. Nothing appeared to have been taken. Police are following up on the case.
