April 6th

Arrest

Occurred between 10:34AM and 11:00AM (4/6) – Grove St./Allendale Rd.

Police executed a traffic stop for a speeding violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered she only owned a Guatemalan identification and not a valid driver’s license. The driver was placed under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred 10:08PM (4/6) – Pond Ave.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a vehicle in progress. The caller, a security guard, said that three males on bicycles broke a car window and were now fleeing towards Jamaica Pond. Officers located the suspects, identified them, and noticed a bulge in one of the suspect’s pockets. The bulge turned out to be a GPS unit. This suspect also had fresh blood and cuts on his hands. After further investigation, all three suspects were arrested for breaking and entering of a motor vehicle with intent to commit a felony, larceny, and malicious destruction of a motor vehicle.

Larceny

Occurred 3:37PM (4/6) – 900 Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of shoplifting at a local CVS. The caller, an employee, stated that he witnessed the suspect put two motorized toothbrushes in a black plastic bag and attempt the leave the store without paying. The suspect was detained by the employee towards the back of the store. Officers arrested the suspect for shoplifting.
