April 1st

Arrest

Occurred 11:22PM (4/1) – Washington St./Brookline Ave.

Police responded to a report of a hit and run accident. The victim stated that the car almost hit them after crossing over the concrete median. The driver was subsequently located. After identifying the driver and conversing with him, officers became concerned that he may be intoxicated. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of an accident, marked lanes violation, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 6:00PM (3/31) and 11:00AM (4/1) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that he had parked his vehicle in his designated spot and upon returning the next day, discovered that his rear windshield had been smashed. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 6:00PM (3/31) and 8:00AM (4/1) – Stearns Rd.

Police responded to a report of larceny. The victim stated that two bicycles had been stolen from his garage. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 10:30AM and 2:00PM (4/1) – Egmont St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that his cousin had left him money in an envelope, concealed in a shoe, outside his front door. When he went to retrieve it, the money was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:00PM (3/28) and 8:00PM (3/30) – Egmont St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that she had locked her bicycle in the rear of her building. When she returned, her bike was missing and the lock had been cut. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 10:00PM (3/26) and 10:00AM (3/27) – Griggs Rd.

The victim reported to police that his vehicle had been broken into. He stated that he parked his vehicle in the driveway and returned the next day to find his rear window had been forced down. An iPhone was taken from the vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 9:30PM (4/1) – Juniper St.

An officer on a bicycle patrol observed a suspicious man attempt to gain entry into a parked vehicle. After some further investigation, the man was found to be in possession of an allen wrench set, an HP Placard, an air freshener and some loose change. The HP Placard came back to a woman. After contacting the woman’s daughter, who drives the vehicle, she confirmed that her vehicle had been broken into. The man was arrested for attempted breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, possession of burglar tools, and receiving stolen property.
