March 13th



4/13  Officers took a report of a car break on Dummer St.  The victim reported that they had parked their car in the garage, and when they went to the car this morning it had been rummaged through and multiple items were taken.
 
4/13 Officers took a report of a car break on Washburn Terr.  The victim reported that they had parked their car in front of their house overnight, and in the morning they found it had been rummaged through and multiple items were taken.

4/13 Officers  took a report from a resident on Beaconsfield Rd for stolen packages.   The resident reported to the Officers that there were multiple packages delivered to their address.   When they went to retrieve the packages they were gone.

4/13 Officers responded to an address on Park St for a B&E&L of a motor vehicle.  The victim reports parking his car in the parking lot last night at approximately 9:00pm and left it unlocked.  When he returned today at approximately 10:30am he observed that the glove box was ajar.  He discovered that $1.00 was missing from the center console cup holder. A follow-up will be conducted.

4/13 Detectives working with Boston Detectives identified a person possibly stealing packages from an address on Washington St. in Brookline.  The subject was stopped by Brookline Detectives and an investigation followed.  The subject was identified and advised that he will be summonsed into Court for Larceny, and he was sent on his way. 

4/13/ A Brookline resident arrived at the Brookline Police Station to report that her car had been parked, on  04/12/2020 at approx. 0730 hours in the rear of her residence in her assigned spot.  When she returned to the car today, at approx. 0800 hours, she noticed that the center console was open and some items had been taken out. The victim believes the only item taken was a men’s jacket.

4/13/  At approximately 1501 hours Officers were dispatched to Circuit Rd for wires down.  Upon arrival at that location the officer  observed a large Town of Brookline Tree that had fallen on top of two houses on  Circuit Rd. The Officer then noticed that the tree had fallen on top of high voltage power lines, and that they were still attached to the electrical poles. At this time Brookline Fire arrived on scene.  No injuries were reported.

4/ 13 A supervisor responded to Elliot St for a report of a town tree that fell and damaged a fence and roof. Upon arriving on scene the Officer observed that the front of the house was on Eliot St while the rear of the house was on Craft Rd. Contact was made with the owner of the property and no injuries were reported.  Town Forestry Dept. was notified and arrived on scene.

4/13 Officers responded to an address on Nelson Drive for a report of a town tree that fell and damaged a fence and roof. Upon arriving on scene I observed that a large branch of a town tree that is in the rear of the property had broken off and fell due to high wind. The branch fell on the rear white venal fence breaking several sections. It also damaged a newly purchased volleyball net. The Officer also observed damage to the roof of the garage. Photographs were taken of the damage. The Officer spoke with the property owner and no injuries were reported.

4/13 Officers responded to the CVS on Commonwealth Ave, for a report of multiple shoplifters. Officers responded and searched the area for the suspects. Upon arrival at CVS officers spoke with the Store Manager  who reported  that two males had just taken various items from the store and fled down Saint Paul St towards Dummer St. A still photograph of the suspects to send out to responding police units. Officers were unable to locate the suspects.  A copy of the security video footage will be made and turned over to Brookline Detectives for a follow-up.

4/13 Officers responded to an address on Harrison St for a report of a Town tree branch that fell onto a vehicle parked in a private driveway. Officers and Town Forestry personnel observed a large branch that fell from the Town tree on the sidewalk due to the heavy winds and rain today. Part of the branch landed on the rear of a Chevy Volt in the driveway causing minor damage to the vehicle. The Forestry workers were able to remove the branch.  The residents were not home at this time.
