July 14, 2019

At approximately 1:15 PM officers were working a detail at NETA dispensary and encountered 3 individuals near Boylston street that were illegally smoking marijuana that they just purchased at the dispensary.


After identifying the individuals and it was determined that two of the three had active warrants. Officers searched the individual and discovered several fake hundred dollar bills with Chinese writing on them.

 In addition to their warrants, all three individuals received citations for public marijuana consumption.

July 15, 2019

At 10:17 AM officers responded to a call of a dog hit by a motorist at Brookline Avenue. Once on scene police spoke to the driver who informed police that he was driving northbound on Brookline Avenue when a small dog ran of the Brookline Avenue Park and under his vehicle while he was traveling. Officers interviewed the passengers of the vehicle who confirmed the story of the driver.

The dog was pronounced dead at the VCA Animal hospital. The driver was not found responsible for the accident based on reports from all individuals involved and no citations were issued.

At 8:00 PM Officers responded to a call of a bat inside of a residence. The animal was trapped by the reporting party and was turned over to police who submitted the animal for rabies testing. The individuals were included in the report for exposure to the animal.

July 16, 2019

At 1019 hours Brookline Officers responded to a report of malicious damage on Cumberland Avenue. The reporting party stated that he was at the residence on the 13th and everything checked out, however when he returned to the property on the 16th he noticed the front middle window of the residence was shattered. There was no sign of entry onto the property and the windows have been boarded up. Police are investigating.

At 4:31 PM Officers were dispatched to Washington Street for a report of a stolen package from the mail. The reporting party informed police that when she arrived home at 3:45 PM she noticed an opened package on her doorstep with the contents missing. The package was marked as delivered at 1:31 PM. Police are investigating.

July 17, 2019

At approximately 7:00 PM a Brookline resident reported that her vehicle was broken into on Clyde Street, and 4 credit cards and cash had been stolen out of her purse. Police are investigating.
