Saturday, April 6th

11:38AM: Officers were dispatched to a business on Commonwealth Avenue for a larceny report. Two cashiers told police that at 11:29am, they noticed a white male, approximately 5’8, enter the store wearing a black jacket and a blue and white hat with a pom pom. He quickly grabbed a black leather briefcase off a shelf and fled before either cashier could identify or stop him. The employees had never seen the man before and he did not make any purchases. This case is under investigation.

3:48PM: Officers were dispatched to a business on Harvard Street for shoplifting. The loss prevention employee noticed a woman “shoveling” items into two bags. The woman left the store and the employee followed her. Police caught up to the suspect and found she had stolen numerous items of clothing. The clothing was returned to the store. The suspect was served with a “No Trespass Order” and will be summonsed to court for shoplifting.

9:32PM: Police were dispatched to Commonwealth Avenue for larceny.  Two parties informed officers that they had their personal belongings stolen from a storage closet located in the rear of the businesses. The storage closet door, which is usually locked, was unlocked at the time the victims noticed their items missing. A rear garage door which could be used for entry, was also half-way open at this time. One of the parties remembered last seeing her property in the secured closet at approximately 5pm. Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the incident.
