Police reports January 14 to January 25, 2015
January 14th
Two officers were monitoring traffic on Harvard Street. They
observed a vehicle with a missing passenger side mirror. The officer asked for
the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating a vehicle with
a suspended license and was placed under arrest.
January 15th
An officer was doing
a random query on a vehicle along River Road and noticed a vehicle had an
expired inspection sticker. The officer asked for the driver’s license and
registration. The driver had a default warrant and was placed under arrest.
January 16th
A suspect stole some items at a business on Beacon Street.
The suspect took some products off a shelf and tried to return it without a
receipt. The suspect then went back to the aisle and proceeded to put these
items in their coat and left the store. The suspect went to another store and
picked some items off shelf and tried to return them. Police officers arrived
at the scene and the suspect matched the characteristics from what the store
manager described. The suspect was placed under arrest. This matter is still
under investigation.
January 17th
Officers noticed a car without any tail lights and
headlights on. When stopped the driver, the driver stated that the car was not
his and he did not have a license. While securing the driver, the officer
noticed the passenger, bending forward as if to retrieve something. Officers on
scene assisted to secure both passengers and a person sitting in the back. The
officer proceeded to search the car and discovered tools used in the injection
of Heroin, along with white power. Both the driver and passenger had warrants
for their arrest. All three were arrested and charged with Possession of a
Class A (Heroin).
January 21st
An officer was on patrol and noticed a vehicle on Aspinwall
Avenue parked in a no parking zone with the headlights on and running. The
officer approached the vehicle and noticed the driver slumped over the steering
wheel. The officer knocked on the driver’s side of the window to get the
operator’s attention but the results were negative. The officer then opened the
driver’s side door and detected a strong odor of intoxicating liquor from the
interior of the vehicle especially from the driver operating the vehicle. The
officer made several attempts to get a response from the driver. The driver
finally responded to the officer. Based on the information at the scene, the
driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and was placed
under arrest.
Two officers responded to a local business reporting a
larceny. When the officers arrived they spoke with the store manager and were
shown the footage of the incident that was recorded. They spoke to the suspect
that was working at the business. Based on the information at the scene, the
suspect was placed under arrest for larceny. This matter is still under
investigation.
An officer was monitoring traffic along Boylston Street when
a vehicle traveled through a red light. The officer pulled the vehicle over and
asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver of the vehicle was
placed under arrest for operating under revocation.
An officer was monitoring traffic and noticed a vehicle with
a defective taillight. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for the
driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle with a
suspended license and was placed under arrest.
January 22nd
An on officer was monitoring traffic on Boylston Street and
noticed a vehicle traveling through a red light. The officer pulled the vehicle
over and asked for a driver’s license and registration. The driver operating
the vehicle was not duly licensed and was placed under arrest.
An officer was monitoring traffic on Warren Street and
noticed a vehicle making a U-turn. The officer pulled the vehicle over and
asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating a
vehicle with s suspended registration and was placed under arrest.
January 24th
An officer was monitoring traffic on High Street and noticed
a vehicle with an invalid inspection sticker. The officer pulled over the
vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was
operating a vehicle after suspension and was placed under arrest.
January 25th
Two officers responded to the reporting of a suspected shop
lifter at a local business. The manager confronted the suspect of attempting to
steal the items by placing it in his jacket. The manager provided a receipt of
the items that were stolen to the officer. The suspect became argumentative and started
yelling at the officer. The suspect was placed under arrest. This matter is
still under investigation.
