Police Reports for August 18, 2014
On August 18, a subject who had an outstanding warrant was
placed under arrest at on Washington St.
On August 18, an officer observed a vehicle with an expired
registration sticker operating on Thayer St. The vehicle was pulled over and
the officer asked the driver for his license and registration. The driver had a
suspended license and the passenger had an active arrest warrant. Based on information
obtained at the scene, 79 grams of the class “A” substance heroin was
discovered in the vehicle. Both subjects were placed under arrest.
On August 18, an officer responded to Harvard St for a
report of shoplifting. Items that belonged to the store were discovered on the
subject. Upon arrival, the subject was
still present in the store and was placed under arrest.
On August 18, an officer responded to Perry St for a report
of a past breaking and entering. An individual heard someone knock at the main
door then enter the apartment. The subject opened the apartment door with a
flathead screw driver. Some items were taken from the apartment. The matter is
under investigation.
On August 18, an officer responded to Westbourne Terrace for
a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The three subjects then fled the
area on bicycles. Two of the subjects were stopped for the breaking and
entering of the motor vehicle. Both subjects were placed under arrest for the
breaking and entering and receiving stolen property. Based on information
obtained at the scene, one subject was also in possession of a class “B”
controlled substance.
