Today Brookline Police arrested a local man and charged him
with Animal Cruelty. Brookline Police working with information provided from the MSPCA,
conducted an investigation into an alleged act of Animal Cruelty. Acting swiftly
with the information they received, the Department sought an arrest warrant for
a local man, age 24 for allegedly smothering a pet dog. The subject was taken
into custody this afternoon without incident at his residence. He is scheduled to
be arraigned in Brookline District Court on Thursday.
