Sector 1
Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle: 08/22/2013 at 7:30 a.m. – Beals St.
An officer was dispatched to Beals St. after receiving a report of a Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle. The vehicle was left unlocked and broken into at some point during the night. The victim stated there was nothing of value in the car.
Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle: 08/22/2013 at 8:53 a.m. – Fuller St.
An officer was dispatched to Fuller St. after receiving a report of a Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle. The car was left unlocked and burglarized at some point during the night. The victim reported some change missing from the car.
Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle: 08/22/2013 at 7:00 a.m. – Thorndike St.
A victim reported both of his cars were keyed overnight. The damage was on the driver’s side of each vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.
Larceny: 08/22/2013 at 2:15 p.m. – Commonwealth Av.
While on the desk, an officer received a report of a stolen bicycle. The victim stated she attached her bike to a rack on Commonwealth Av. using a cable lock. Upon her return, the bike and cable lock were missing.
Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle: 08/22/2013 at 8:00 a.m. – Fuller St.
A victim reported his vehicle was broken into while parked in the Fuller St. parking lot. The car was left unlocked and burglarized at some point during the night. A laptop, charger, mouse, and IPod headphones were reported stolen.
Larceny: 08/22/2013 at 11:48 p.m. – Winslow Rd.
An officer was dispatched to Winslow Rd. after receiving a report of a bicycle theft. The bike was unsecured. There are no suspects at this time.
Warrant Arrest: 08/22/2013 at 12:33 p.m. – Beacon St./ Park Dr.
An officer observed a vehicle fail to indicate a lane change and initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Beacon St. and Park Drive. A query of the driver’s information revealed he had a suspended license. Furthermore, the operator had two warrants out of Lynn District Court. The operator was placed under arrest.
Operating to Endanger: 08/22/2013 at 4:10 a.m. – Babcock St/ Ashford St.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at an accelerated rate of speed and fail to stop at a stop sign. The officer activated his emergency lights in an attempt to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle did not stop, but instead increased speed and continued down Harvard St. and turning onto Babcock St. before pulling over. The operator then fled the vehicle, attempting to hide behind a nearby dumpster. The officer verbally commanded the suspect to come out. The suspect was placed under arrest for Failure to Stop for a Police Officer and operating to Endanger, Speeding, and a Red Light Violation.
Sector 2
Attempted Robbery: 08/22/2013 at 1:00 a.m. – Beacon St.
An officer was dispatched to Beacon St. after receiving a report of an Attempted Robbery. Upon arrival, the officer was met by the victim who stated while walking home he was pushed to the ground by an assailant who then tried to take the victim’s cell phone and money. The victim struggled with the suspect, who then fled on foot down Beacon St. The suspect was described as a young African American male with short black hair, of medium build, and wearing a black hoodie.
Sector 4
Operating After Suspension: 08/22/2013 at 4:44 p.m. – Harvard St.
An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red light. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Harvard St. A query of the operator’s information revealed he had a suspended license. The operator was placed under arrest.
Sector 9
Larceny: 08/22/2013 at 4:55 p.m. – Larz Anderson Park
An officer was dispatched to Larz Anderson Park after receiving a report of a Breaking and Entering and Larceny of Property from a Motor Vehicle. The victim stated she arrived at the garage to find the front passenger window shattered and her purse missing. Closer inspection of the vehicle revealed pry marks on the passenger side of the window frame.
