Police Reports 6/24-6/25

Not Duly Licensed: 6/25 at 10:29 AM- W. Roxbury Pkwy.

An officer observed a dump truck traveling on the W. Roxbury Parkway, a roadway that is restricted to trucks. A query revealed that the driver did not have a valid license and he was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

Operating after Revocation: 6/24 at 11:59 PM- Boylston St. / Reservoir Rd.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Boylston St. and Reservoir Rd. A query revealed that the driver had a revoked license. A search produced several plastic bags containing marijuana. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation and Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute.

Larceny: Between 6/15 and 6/24- Gardner Rd.

A Gardner Rd. resident reported the larceny of a 24 foot ladder from his backyard.

Warrant Arrest: 6/24 at 6:09 PM- S. Huntington / Huntington

Officers responded to the area of Village Way to serve an arrest warrant. Upon seeing officers, the suspect took off running. After a short foot pursuit officers were able to stop the subject in the area of S. Huntington Ave. The individual was placed under arrest for the warrant out of Brookline District Court and Resisting Arrest.

Bike Theft: Between 6/21 and 6/24- Brook St.

An individual reported the theft of a bicycle. The victim stated that he last saw his bicycle on 6/21 at approximately 7:30 AM. When he returned he discovered his bike was missing. The bicycle had been locked to a wooden fence. It appears that the cable lock had been cut.

Sector 1

B&E MV: Between 6/24 and 6/25- Babcock St.

An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he parked his vehicle in a lot on Babcock St. on 6/24 at 8:00 PM. When he returned the next morning he discovered that the rear passenger window had been smashed and a briefcase had been stolen.

Sector 2

Shoplifting: 6/24 at 3:24 PM- Harvard St.

A Walgreens employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that she observed a male individual remove sunglasses from a display case and place them in his pocket. The suspect then left the store without paying. Officers were able locate an individual in the area that matched the description. The subject was positively identified as the shoplifter and he was placed under arrest for Shoplifting.
