January 31st- February 1st

Arrests:
Occurred at 10:56 AM (1/31) – South Street

Officers received information from a local hospital stating a patient that has outstanding warrants was being released. Brookline Police confirmed a straight warrant out of Malden District Court, and the subject was placed under arrest without incident and transported to Brookline Police Department.

Occurred at 3:55 PM (1/31) – Washington Street

Officers received information from the Brookline District Court stating that there was a subject in the courthouse with outstanding warrants and that the judge was not able to process him at that time. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest and transferred to Brookline Police Station.

Threats:

Occurred at 7:15 PM (1/31) – Beacon Street

A victim reported to the Brookline Police Station for threats that had been made against him. The victim stated that when he returned to his home there was an unknown male sitting in his garage. After brief questioning and argument the subject threatened to slash his tires.

Theft:

Occurred at 9:02 PM (1/31) – Newton Street

Officers responded to a call for theft of gas/ non payment of gas. Upon arrival the gas station attendant stated that a gray Mercedes Benz had pumped gas and then drove off. Police are conducting a follow up investigation.

Possession:

Occurred at 10:29 PM (1/31) – Washington Street/ Pond Avenue

Officers conducted a traffic stop for an occupant of a vehicle who threw garbage out of the window, and into the street. Upon investigation officers learned that the litter had been a clear baggy used for holding marijuana. Officers could smell marijuana and conducted pat frisks on the individuals in the car. Officers found marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia. All for subjects were issued citations for the civil crime of possession of marijuana.
