Arrest
Occurred 2:20 AM (10/19) – St. Mary’s St. / Mountfort St.
While on patrol, police observed a motor vehicle with defective equipment and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and subsequently conducted a field investigation. A search of the vehicle revealed numerous items consistent with narcotic use and distribution. Police subsequently placed the subject under arrest for possession with intent to distribute in a school zone.
Occurred 2:44 PM (10/19) – Heath St. / Holly LA
Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. had been suspended. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension.
Occurred 9:08 PM (10/19) – Commonwealth Ave.
Police responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, officers met with the stores’ loss prevention officer who stated that the suspect was observed on video surveillance grabbing several store items and concealing them down his pants. Police subsequently placed the suspect under arrest for shoplifting.
Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
Occurred between 8:00 PM (10/18) and 7:30 AM (10/19) – Bellingham Rd.
Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that sometime while his car was parked in front of his house, an unknown suspect entered his vehicle and stole his wallet. Police observed the vehicle’s front passenger side window to be smashed and are following up on the case.
Burglary
Occurred between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM (10/19) – Toxteth St.
Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering from a local residence. The victim stated that when he arrived home, he discovered several items missing from his kitchen area including a laptop computer, two cell phones, four IPods, and a digital camera. Officers inspected the home and believe the suspect gained entry by smashing a window and entering through a rear door. Police are following up on the case.
Fraud
Occurred between 6:04 PM (08/21) and 6:08 PM (10/19) – Beacon St.
Police responded to a report of a credit card fraud at a local business. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that two subjects came into her business and used a gift certificate she believed was bought online with someone else’s credit card. She informed officers that prior to this she received paperwork from a female victim stating that her credit card was fraudulently used to buy a gift certificate. Police are following up on the case.
