Arrest
Occurred 11:00PM (5/7) – 1223 Beacon St.
Police responded to a report of smoke in a building. While attempting to stop traffic for the responding fire vehicles, a car disobeyed the officer and drove towards the scene of the fire, finally coming to a stop because the road was blocked by a fire truck. The officer approached the driver and asked why he did not stop. Due to the conversation with the driver, officers suspected he may be intoxicated. After further investigation, the driver was arrested for failing to stop for a police officer and operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor.
Occurred 1:07AM (5/10) – Walnut St./High St.
Police observed a vehicle travelling in the wrong direction on Station Street with is a one way. After performing a traffic stop and some further investigation, officers became concerned that the driver was intoxicated. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.
Occurred 2:31AM (5/12) – Harvard St./Babcock St.
Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. After identifying the driver, officers became concerned that he was intoxicated. Upon further investigation, the driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.
Occurred 4:50PM (5/12) – Hallwood Rd./Newton St.
Police responded to a report of a fight between two male subjects. Officers noticed that both males fit the description of recently reported solicitors who were going door to door selling magizines. When asked, both men admitted to soliciting magazines without being registered with the town. Upon identifying the subjects, it was found that one had seven default warrants and he was subsequently arrested.
Graffiti
Occurred 2:56PM (5/8) – 55 Village Way
Police responded to a report of graffiti. The caller, a maintenance manager, stated that he noticed some graffiti in the morning on the door that leads to the roof parking lot. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 11:00AM (5/6) and 11:30AM (5/9) – Beacon St.
Police responded to a report of graffiti. The victim stated that she noticed the graffiti along the right side door of her apartment building in the morning. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 5:00PM (5/10) and 1:19PM (5/11) – Winchester St.
Police responded to a report of graffiti. The building manager noticed that there was graffiti on the right side of the building. Another victim, who also lived on Winchester Street, called in and reported her building being tagged around the same time as the previous incident. Police are following up on the case.
Malicious Damage
Occurred between 6:00PM (5/6) and 3:00PM (5/7) – Pleasant St.
Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that his garage door had been damage. The damage appeared to have been caused by a vehicle. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 11:30PM (5/7) and 1:42PM (5/8) – Washington St.
Police responded to a report of a parking meter that had been knocked over in the Town Hall parking lot. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 6:00PM (5/7) and 11:00AM (5/8) – Greenough St.
Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a vehicle. The victim stated that her vehicle had been intentionally scratched with a key or a similar device. The scratches reached from the front of the vehicle to the rear on both sides. Also, derogatory words were written on the roof. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 9:00PM (5/7) and 5:00AM (5/8) – Windsor Rd.
Victim reported to police that the driver’s side window of his vehicle had been damaged. The damage appeared to be caused by a piece of asphalt that was found in the cargo area. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred 1:50PM (5/11) – Euston St.
Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that he was sitting at his desk when someone threw an orange though a bedroom window. The window was smashed and the orange ended up on the desk. Police are following up on the case.
Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle
Occurred between 8:00PM (5/3) and 10:40AM (5/8) – Pleasant St.
Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that her passenger side window had been smashed and that her glove compartment and center console had been searched. It did not appear that anything was missing. Police are following up on the case.
Larceny
Occurred between 2:00PM (4/16) and 8:00AM (4/26) – Greenough St.
Victim reported to police that a laptop computer had been stolen from Brookline High School. The laptop was kept in a locked classroom during vacation. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 10:50AM and 10:55AM (5/8) – Fisher Ave.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that he left his laptop computer in his room and returned five minutes later to find it missing. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred 12:07PM (5/9) – Harvard St.
Police responded to a report of a shoplifter who had just fled a local Walgreens in a vehicle. An employee stated that she observed the subject take a Disney Mickey Mouse bag and place multiple hair products inside. The subject is described as a black female, 5’4” and in her 20’s, wearing a black zip up sweatshirt and black pants. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 1:28PM (4/25) and 1:28PM (5/9) – Longwood Ave.
Police responded to a report of a bicycle larceny. The victim stated that he noticed that two bicycles were missing from the rear of his house. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 12:00PM (4/26) and 3:00PM (4/30) – Cabot St.
Victim reported to police that a large sum of money had been taken from a case in his bedroom. The victim stated that he waited to compile a list of people who could have had access to the case before reporting the money stolen. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 9:30AM and 12:00PM (5/9) – Cypress St.
Victim reported to police that a banner had been taken from outside his business. The victim stated that the banner had been located on the front of the building above the door. A doormat also appeared to have been taken. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 8:00PM (5/7) and 1:30AM (5/8) – Naples Rd.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that his front porch furniture had been stolen. Four chairs in total were missing. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred 3:35PM (5/10) – Beacon St.
Police responded to a report of a shoplifting in progress. The caller stated that she could hear a customer cutting the security tag off of a pair of jeans inside a changing room. When the subject exited the room and saw the officers, she immediately started shaking and crying. The subject was subsequently arrested for shoplifting and for possession of a class E drug.
Occurred between 11:20AM and 2:50PM (5/11) – Washington St.
Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that a brick had been thrown through the front foyer door to the lobby of her building. Soon after, the victim realized that a package was also missing. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 2:00PM (4/1) and 5:00PM (5/4) – Walnut Hill Rd.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that several pieces of silverware were missing from her house. The only disruption within the house is a pile of clothes that had been on top of the silverware. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 7:00PM and 7:30PM (5/10) – Greenough St.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that she works for the high school at night cleaning and that she had placed her purse on a desk in the maintenance room. She returned to find that cash had been stolen from her purse. Two other purses on the desk were also taken. After further investigation, three male subjects were arrested for larceny.
Occurred between 8:00AM (5/9) and 9:00PM (5/11) – Egmont St.
Police responded to a report of a stolen license plate. The victim stated in the morning she realized her front license plate was missing. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 11:00AM and 12:00PM (5/9) – Heath St.
Police responded to a report of a larceny at a local hospital. The victim stated that he placed his wallet under his pillow and went to the restroom. Upon returning, the victim noticed that there was a significant amount of cash missing from his wallet. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 3:00PM and 5:30PM (5/12) – Greenough St.
Victim reported to police that her locker had been broken into. The victim stated that she had returned to retrieve her belongings and observed that her combination lock was missing. The victim’s iPod Touch, USB driver, credit card, handbag, and two IDs were missing. Police are following up on the case.
Burglary
Occurred 7:14AM (5/9) – Beacon St.
Police responded to a report of a commercial alarm. Upon arrival, officers observed excessive damage to the front door of the business. Officers searched the building but found no one inside. The victim stated that nothing appeared to be missing. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 12:30PM and 11:00PM (5/8) – Mason Terrace
Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that her laptop computer, as well as her roommate’s laptop, were missing. Officers discovered that a window screen had been removed and the window propped open. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 1:00AM (5/5) and 4:00PM (5/10) – VFW Parkway
Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that a coin jar, sitting on her piano, had been emptied, as well as numerous record albums and DVDs. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 7:15AM and 7:00PM (5/11) – Prince St.
Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering. The victim stated that she had returned home to find her front door open. A laptop computer and a strong box filled with personal papers were missing. It appeared that the suspect entered through the front window and out of the front door. Police are following up on the case.
