Monday, October 13

BURGLARY

A burglary occurred at a residential address on Aspinwall Ave. The suspect was identified and arrested.

PACKAGE THEFT

An individual approached the front desk of the police station to report a past package theft on Norfolk Rd.  

Tuesday, October 14

ID FRAUD

Police were dispatched to a residence on Sewall Avenue for a report of identity fraud. The victim stated that two unfamiliar forms were listed on their online IRS account. Both forms contained their name and Social Security number; however, the address was unknown to them. Officers advised the individual to report the fraud to the Social Security Administration. 

PACKAGE THEFT

A past package theft on Beacon Street was reported to police.

FRAUD

An individual on Beacon Street reported being the victim of fraud. They were contacted by someone claiming to be a Best Buy representative, who asked them to renew a protection plan. The reporting party was instructed to purchase gift cards and provide the card numbers to the caller. After doing so, several of their bank accounts were subsequently compromised.

LARCENY

Officers received report of a larceny on Greenough St. 

Wednesday, October 15

CAR BREAK

An individual reported that two of their cars were broken into on Wallis Rd. 

PACKAGE THEFT

A package theft was reported on Babcock St. 

Friday, October 17

LARCENY

A walk-in party reported stolen pieces of luggage to the front desk of the Brookline Police Station. 

MV THEFT

Officers responded to a motor vehicle theft that connected to the reported larceny listed above. The vehicle, which was being used to transport the luggage, was stolen on Harvard Street with the items still inside. 

PACKAGE THEFT

The contents of a package were reported stolen from a residence on Beacon St. 

Saturday, October 18

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

Individuals that reside on Beacon Street reported a case of suspicious activity. 

DOG BITE

A dog bite incident occurred on Pond Ave. 

FOUND PROPERTY

A wallet was found on Centre Street and turned into the station for safekeeping. 

ASSAULT

Officers responded to a past assault that occurred on Harvard St. The reporting party was approached by an unknown individual who, when the victim attempted to walk away, struck them on the left side of the head with a bag.

Sunday, October 19

ABANDONED PROPERTY

A black plastic bag containing a cell phone, wallet, and other items was found on West Roxbury Parkway.
