Monday, October 20

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of identity fraud on High Street. The victim reported that a credit card account was opened using their personal information and an out-of-state address. They also discovered several unauthorized transactions, which they have disputed. Officers advised the victim to contact the Social Security Administration’s Fraud Hotline, Federal Trade Commission, and their banking institutions.

SHOPLIFTING

Employees at a business on Commonwealth Avenue reported a shoplifting incident. 

SHOPLIFTING

Another shoplifting incident was reported on Commonwealth Avenue. The involved party returned the merchandise and was issued a No-Trespass Notice. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers were dispatched to Commonwealth Avenue for a past shoplifting.  

Tuesday, October 21

THREATS

Officers responded to a business on Harvard Street for a report of threats made by an individual toward employees.

FOUND PROPERTY

A wallet was found on Thornton Road and turned into the station for safekeeping. 

Wednesday, October 22

FRAUD

Officers responded to Valley Road for a report of fraud. The victim reported fraudulent withdrawals and an attempted use of their identity in a state they don't reside in. 

PACKAGE THEFT

An individual reported that a package was stolen from their residence on Crowninshield Rd. 

FRAUD

A case of identity fraud was reported to the front desk of the police station. 

GRAFFITI

Officers were dispatched to a business on Harvard Street for a report of vandalism. 

Friday, October 24

FOUND PROPERTY

An Apple iPhone was found on Columbia Street and has been stored at the station for safekeeping. 

SHOPLIFTING

A shoplifting incident regarding a known individual was reported on Commonwealth Ave. 

THREATS

Officers were dispatched to Kilsyth Road for a report of threats made by phone. The reporting party stated they received multiple threatening text messages from an unknown number. They were advised to block the number and to report any additional messages if received.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

Officers responded to Ivy Street for a report of suspicious activity. A suspect was observed attempting to gain entry to the building and some damage was reported. 

Saturday, October 25

ID FRAUD

An individual reported a case of identity fraud to the front desk of the station. They received notification from their credit protection provider that a new name and address was associated with their Social Security Number. 

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

Officers responded to a park on Harvard Street for a report of suspicious activity. The reporting party stated that an unknown individual approached them and asked them questions before running off. 

Sunday, October 26

CAR BREAK

Officers responded to Cottage Road for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Nothing was reported stolen.
