Monday, September 1

CAR BREAK 

Officers responded to a reported breaking and entering at a car dealership on Boylston Street, where the suspect was believed to still be on scene. Upon arrival, the individual was found asleep inside a customer’s vehicle. Investigation revealed the suspect had unlawfully entered at least four vehicles over a two-day period, including the unauthorized use and return of one vehicle. The suspect was arrested.

SHOPLIFTING

A shoplifting incident was reported on Commonwealth Avenue after a suspect was observed concealing merchandise and fleeing the store. The individual was later identified through surveillance footage and apprehended by another law enforcement agency for an unrelated matter. They are also suspected of involvement in a previous theft from the same location and will be charged with shoplifting.

CHECK FRAUD

A case of check fraud was reported on Eliot St.

SHOPLIFTING

An individual was reported to be shoplifting at a business on Harvard St. The suspect was seen fleeing with stolen merchandise and later identified. The suspects were placed under arrest.

AUTO ACCESSORY THEFT

An individual reported a stolen rental trailer from their business on Boylston St. The trailer was originally rented for one day; however, the renter has failed to return it. 

DOG BITE

Officers responded to a past dog bite on Hamilton Street. An unvaccinated dog bit a child in the foot and broke the skin. The dog must be quarantined for 10 days. The owners were advised to consult a doctor, vaccinate and license the dog, and were informed that if the owner decides to euthanize the dog before quarantine ends, testing for rabies is required. 

LARCENY

A church on Walnut St reported that property had been stolen.

SHOPLIFTING

An individual shoplifted from a business located on Commonwealth Avenue.

PACKAGE THEFT

Officers received a report of a package theft from the front steps of a residence on Beacon Street. The reporting party had a large package delivered but was unable to retrieve it.

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to Commonwealth Avenue for a report of shoplifting.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

An individual was seen urinating on Washington St.
