March 15, 2021

3/11/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a report for check fraud where the reporting party relayed that they had been trying to sell exercise equipment online. Someone one agreed to buy it and sent the seller a check. After depositing the check, days later the reporting party's bank advised them that the check was fraudulent.

 

3/11/2021 BURGLARY - Officers responded to a past breaking and entering at a commercial establishment on Station St. The reporting party stated that they locked up the place two nights prior when they left. When they arrived in the morning, the fire alarm was going off and they immediately noticed product had been rummaged through. Several items were also missing but they were later recovered in a suitcase outside the establishment. Detectives arrived on scene to collect evidence and search for fingerprints.

3/11/2021 LARCENY - Officers responded to a larceny report where the person reporting stated that they received a text message from their bank asking to verify a purchase. After texting back that they did not recently make a purchase, a representative from the bank called them. After discussing fixing the fraudulent activity, the reporting party hung up and checked their bank account to observe that money was gone from their accounts. The reporting party called the bank again to discover that the first call was a scam. 

3/11/2021 LARCENY - Officers responded to a package theft report on Winchester St. where the reporting party claimed that they received a package delivery and moved it to the locked lobby of the building to grab it later. When they returned home, the package was missing. Upon contacting the property manager and seeing surveillance footage, a description of the suspect is available and officers are currently trying to obtain the video footage.

3/12/2021 BURGLARY - Officers responded to a residential breaking and entering on Euston St. where the resident reported that they saw a subject in their apartment and when they made eye contact, the subject exited the apartment and out to the common hallway. The resident's roommate was doing laundry and left the rear door open and this would have most likely been the entryway for the subject. The two residents confronted the subject near the rear door of the apartment and the subject relayed that they were looking for a friend in the building. When officers arrived, the subject had already left the building. An officer near the area reported seeing a person matching the description of the subject. The officer identified the subject and later was able to confirm that this was the same person that was in the apartment. An arrest was made. 

3/12/2021 MALICIOUS DAMAGE  - Officers responded to a malicious damage to a vehicle report on High St. where the reporting party stated that someone smashed their car windshield. The reporting party shared that they had a disagreement with a friend and that resulted in the friend hitting the corner of the person's car windshield.

3/13/2021 BURGLARY - Officers responded to a past break and enter on South St. where the reporting party stated that when they went to check on their parents home due to them being on vacation, they found the front door unlocked. Upon further inspection of the home, the bedrooms had been ransacked and a safe was missing. When officers arrived, they observed that the point of entry must have been the bathroom window on the second floor. There was visible pry marks and the screen was open. Furthermore, there were mud tracks on the bathroom floor and a patio chair in the backyard directly underneath the bathroom window. Detectives arrived on scene to take photographs and collect evidence. 

3/13/2021 ANIMAL BITE - Officers responded to a report for a past dog bite on Franklin St. The reporting party stated that while running through Robinson Playground a dog ran behind them and bit them in the leg. The party and the dog owner exchanged information and contacted police. 

3/13/2021 MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers responded to a report of malicious damage to a building on Carlton St. The reporting party who is the maintenance worker stated that they left the building the day prior and the next morning the property manager stated that the window to a door was smashed in. Officers arrived to observe that the glass was inside the building and there was a substantial amount of it. Detectives are currently following up on the case.

___________________________________________________________________________________3/14/2021 BIKE THEFT - Officers responded to a larceny report where the victim shared that their bike was stolen from the side of their home on Marion Ter. The victim's ring camera detected the motion of the activity so a description of the suspect has been given to officers.

3/14/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a report for fraudulent use of a credit card. The victim received a text from their bank stating that there might be a fraudulent charge on their card. The victim attempted to find their card but realized that they lost their wallet. They are retracing their steps and trying to cancel the charges with their bank.

3/14/2021 B & E ATTEMPT - Officers responded to an attempted breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on Beacon St. where the victim reported seeing pry marks on the driver's door. Officers canvassed the area to see if other suspicious activity was present.

March 11, 2021

3/8/2021 BAT EXPOSURE - Officers responded to an animal exposure report where the reporting party stated seeing a bat fly around in their kitchen. The reporting party stayed away from the bat and explained that the bat must have flown through a hole in the ceiling of their apartment.  There was no bat exposure to any of the occupants in the apartment.

3/8/2021 THEFT ATTEMPT - Officers responded to a report for suspicious activity on Fuller St. where a reporting party stated seeing a suspect near a moped and acting suspicious. When the suspect left, the reporting party went to the moped and saw burglarious instruments there, including a screw driver jammed into the ignition. Officers arrived and observed the weather cover torn off the moped as well as the burglarious tools. The reporting party gave a description of the suspect and officers collected the tools as evidence.

3/8/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a package theft report on Borland Rd. The reporting party returned home to discover the package on their porch to be opened and the contents missing. Officers are searching for surveillance near the area.

3/8/2021 BIKE THEFT - Officers responded to a bicycle theft report on Browne St. where the victim reported that they left their bike in the vestibule area of their building where only residents have access . They returned to discover their bike missing and the door to the room had been dislodged. Detectives are currently following up on the case.

___________________________________________________________________________________ 3/9/2021 ATTEMPTED BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to an attempt of a break and enter on Park St. where the reporting party shared that the lock on a rear door seemed broken and officers observed that it seemed like it had been pushed out from the door. The inside of the building and patrons were ok and nothing was missing. Detectives are searching for surveillance near the area at the moment. 

3/9/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a package theft report on Welland Rd. where the reporting party received a delivery confirmation but when they returned home the package was not there.

3/9/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Harvard St. where the manager reported that the suspect was in the bathroom of the store and believes that they had shoplifted. The suspect has shoplifted from this establishment before so the manager recognized them. The suspect was seen taking a grey backpack and stuffing the backpack with other items from the store. The suspect left and a description was given to officers, who later stopped the suspect and returned the items. 

3/9/2021 LARCENY  -  Officers responded to a larceny report where the victim reported that their mail was stolen from the building on Marshal St.

3/9/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to an unemployment fraud claim where the reporting party was notified by their employer that they received an unemployment claim. Since the party did not file for the benefits, they contacted the DUA Office and police.

3/10/2021 DOMESTIC DISPUTE - Officers received a report for a domestic dispute on Eliot Ave, where the reporting party stated that their roommates were in a fight. Officers located the two disputing roommates outside the apartment and the two reported that the argument did not become physical and that they had resolved their dispute. All parties were satisfied with the outcome.

3/10/2021 CAR BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a motor vehicle break and enter on Beacon St. where the reporting party stated that they parked their vehicle in the morning and when they arrived after work, the car window was smashed. A backpack that the victim had in the car was missing. Detectives took photographs of the scene and checked for fingerprints. 

3/10/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to an unemployment fraud report where the victim received a letter from the state of Kentucky stating that she filed for unemployment benefits. Since they never applied for unemployment benefits, they notified police.

3/10/2021 CAR BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a motor vehicle break and enter on Eliot St. where the reporting party stated that their home surveillance system captured a suspect enter their driveway and entered their car. They rummaged through the vehicle and left shortly after. The victim checked the interior of their car after and nothing was missing. A description of the suspect was taken from the surveillance video.

March 8, 2021

 3/4/2021 FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraud where the victim received a call from someone impersonating a police officer. The "police officer" was warning that the victim's social security number was being used to make purchases.  The "police officer" then told the victim to go to CVS to purchase gift cards in order to correct the fraudulent use of their social security number. After obtaining the access code to that gift card, the scammer than told the victim to purchase more gift cards in even greater amounts. This is when the victim notified the police.

3/5/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the victim received an unemployment claim form in the mail. Since they did not request unemployment benefits, they contacted police. 

3/5/2021 BICYCLE THEFT - Officers responded to a report for a bicycle theft on Browne St. where the reporting party stated that they locked up their bike in a secure spot in their residential building. Upon returning, their bike was missing and the door to the storage seemed to be tampered with.

___________________________________________________________________________________3/6/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the reporting party said that someone claimed unemployment benefits under their name with the state of Kentucky. The victim notified Kentucky DUA as well as police.

3/6/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a credit card fraud report where the victim's card was used on separate occasions for transactions in Florida. They were notified when their bank contacted them about their request for a new card. Since they did not make this request, they checked their bank account and discovered these fraudulent transactions.

3/7/2021  BREAK AND ENTER ATTEMPT - Officers responded to an attempt breaking and entering of a vehicle on Clinton Rd. The reporting party stated that they observed someone attempting to break into their car through their Ring camera. No entry was made and the officers have a description of the suspect.

3/7/2021 LARCENY - Officers responded to a shoplifting on Harvard St. where the manager reported that a customer was seen placing items into a bag. When the manager confronted the suspect, they exited the store with the items. Officers have a description of the suspect as well as information about the products that were stolen. 

3/7/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the the reporting party received a text saying there was a problem with their unemployment claim. They did not click on the link provided and contacted police since they did not file for unemployment benefits. 

3/7/2021 BREAK AND ENTER  - Officers responded to a break and enter of a motor vehicle on Middlesex Rd. The vehicle was parked in the victim's driveway and upon going to their vehicle, they discovered their belongings had been rummaged through. Officers are currently investigating the case.

3/7/2021 LARCENY - Officers responded to a report of a package theft on Park St. where officers arrived with the package in the lobby appearing to be cut open. Reporting parties stated that they had surveillance of the package being stolen. The video entails two suspects entering the building, cutting open the box, and taking the contents from it. Descriptions of the suspect is obtained and the box was submitted to evidence. 

March 4, 2021

 3/2/2021 DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY - Officers responded to a tree falling down on Fuller St. due to the windy weather from the previous night. The tree was very large and its fall resulted in multiple items being damage around houses on Fuller St. Damages include a broken window, a ramp, a roof, a satellite dish and more. No one was injured. 

3/2/2021 GRAFFITI - Officers responded to a graffiti report at a commercial establishment on Beacon St. where the window near the front entrance was defaced with black lettering and racist remarks written. Officers are currently viewing surveillance around the area.

3/2/2021 SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - Officers responded to a call for suspicious activity on Buckminster Rd. where the reporting party stated that at around 4:40AM their alarm system alerted them that motion was detected. Upon reviewing that camera, the party observed someone in their driveway trying to open the car doors. The suspect did not gain entry into any cars. Officers are reviewing that camera footage from the alarm system.

3/2/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a report of fraud on Claflin Rd. where the reporting party stated that someone used an account of theirs to order product from Florida. The victim was notified from their credit card company and was able to decline the unauthorized charge. Authorities were contacted in Florida as well and the fraudulent activity will be mitigated.

3/2/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report on Freeman St. where the reporting party has been in contact with a subject regarding a room rental. The two came to an agreement of how much the rent would be. The subject sent the reporting party a check with an amount greater than the agreed upon rent amount. This prompted the reporting party to send back the excess amount via Zelle. The reporting party later received an alert from their bank that the check they deposited was fraudulent. The reporting party then contacted police. Upon investigating it appears that phone numbers and emails that the subject used were generated and false. Detectives are following up on the case now.

February 16, 2021

2/10/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the victim stated that they received a letter from the office of unemployment from another state. Since the victim did not claim unemployment benefits and never worked in another state, they contacted police.

2/11/2021 BREAK AND ENTER OF  MOTOR VEHICLE - Officers responded to a motor vehicle breaking and entering on Stetson St. where the victim stated that they discovered their vehicle with the driver door and glove compartment open. Detectives are currently in the process of obtaining surveillance footage.

2/11/2021 SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Harvard St. The suspect was stopped later by officers. Items were recovered and the perpetrator was arrested.  

2/11/2021 BIKE THEFT - Officers responded to a report for bike theft on Walnut St. where the reporting party stated that two bikes were missing from the storage area of the building. Detectives are currently investigating.  

2/11/2021 DISTURBANCE - Officers responded to a disturbance at a food establishment on Harvard St. where the patron refused to pay for their meal. The manager's attempt to resolve the issue was in vain. Officers arrived to deescalate the issue and the perpetrator will be summoned to court. 

2/11/2021 SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Harvard St. where the store manager stated that multiple parties entered the store and left with several items. Detectives are currently investigating surveillance footage.

2/12/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a report of package theft where the reporting party stated that upon returning from vacation, they discovered packages missing. 

2/12/2021 SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a shoplifting on Beacon St. where the suspect left the store with multiple merchandise on a bike. Officers are currently checking if there is any surveillance footage near the area.

 2/23/2021 BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a past breaking and entering where the victim stated that their laptop was stolen from their apartment. There's a possibility that the apartment door was kept ajar that night but the reporting party was sure that it was locked. Nothing else was missing from the apartment and detectives are currently investigating the case. ___________________________________________________________________________________

2/24/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a party reporting identity theft where a loan was requested under their name. Their personal credentials had been compromised so they contacted police.

2/24/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a party reporting identity theft where the party's PayPal and credit cards were compromised and unauthorized purchases were made. The party contacted police due to the fraudulent activity.

2/25/2021 BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a breaking and entering to a party's garage. They discovered a door open and the deadbolt broken. However, nothing was taken from the garage. Detectives are currently following up on the case.

March 2, 2021

2/26/2021 BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a report of a break and enter of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated that they returned to their vehicle in the morning with their things rummaged around and coins missing. 

2/26/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the victim reported unauthorized usage of their bank accounts. The victim reported to their bank to dispute the charges in hopes that they are still pending. They were also advised to notify a credit bureau and the Federal Trade Commission/

2/26/2021 BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a break and enter of a motor vehicle where the reporting party returned to their vehicle with their belongings missing and the rear view mirror misaligned. Detectives are currently following-up on this case.

2/28/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a report of identity theft where the victim stated that there personal information had been used for a internet service account. The party contacted the service to close the fraudulent account. They contacted police and was advised to monitor their bank accounts.

3/1/2021 BICYCLE THEFT - Officers responded to a bike larceny where the reporting party left their bike in a garage on Beacon St. They returned and discovered their bike missing. They contacted the building's security in order to get surveillance.

February 23, 2021

2/18/2021 FRAUD - Detectives responded to a fraud report where the victim received a call from someone that was impersonating a family member, claiming that they had been arrested and needed bail money. The victim complied to send money in order to help their family member. Detectives are currently investigating the case. 

 

2/18/2021 FRAUD - Officers received a report of fraud where the reporting party stated that they received a letter in the mail stating that they filed for unemployment benefits. Since the party did not file for unemployment, they contacted police. 

2/18/2021 BURGLARY - Officers responded to a report of a past burglary of a residence on Euston St., where the victim relayed that upon returning home they found their bedroom door off the hinges and some belongings were taken. The other bedrooms in the residence had their doors removed as well but no belongings missing. Police officers are currently investigating the case.

2/18/2021 THEFT - Officers responded to a past theft report where the victim stated that their stuff was taken from their locked gym locker. The perpetrator impersonated the victim in order to get a staff member to open the locker for them. Detectives are currently searching for surveillance. 

2/18/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a package theft report on Beacon St. where the victim reported that shortly after their package was delivered, they discovered the boxes opened and the contents were missing. Detectives are currently examining the opened package for evidence.

2/19/2021 GRAFFITI - Officers responded to a report for damage to a fence on Warren St., where the reporting party stated they observed graffiti on their fence. Officers are currently searching for surveillance footage around the area.

2/20/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Detectives responded to a shoplifting report on Boylston St. where the manager stated that they recognized the suspect due to past shopliftings. This caused them to monitor the suspect. Once they saw that the suspect was concealing products, they confronted the suspect about stealing. This caused the suspect to become irritable and make threats. They then proceeded to leave the store and exit the scene via MBTA. Detectives have received surveillance and are investigating the case now.

2/21/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Harvard St. where the subject was observed putting product in a shopping bag. When officers arrived and confronted the subject, they became upset. The subject attempted to leave the store but officers continued to question them.  Officers were able to stop and identify the subject. They were able to resolve the issue and prevent a crime.

2/21/2021 ASSAULT - Officers responded to a dispute on Commonwealth Ave. that was caused by an objection to a vehicle being towed. The argument among the parties became physical. As officers arrived on scene, they separated and questioned the parties present. Upon further investigating of video and dashboard camera footage, officers made an arrest.

2/22/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a report of fraud on Boylston St. where a subject was attempting to make an exchange with counterfeit bills. The merchant was extra keen at this time since a previous incident with counterfeit bills had occurred the previous week. The merchant used a counterfeit detector pen to reveal that the bills were fake. This prompted the manager to contact police. Officers stopped a suspect walking away from the establishment and questioned them. An investigation and interview is in progress.

2/22/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Harvard St. where the manager witnessed the party placing product in their sweatshirt and exit the store. With description of the suspect, officers identified and stopped the suspect near the store. Upon confirming with the manager the identity of the suspect, officers made an arrest.

2/22/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the reporting party stated that they received an unemployment claim under their name. Since they did not file for unemployment, the contacted police. 

2/22/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Harvard St. where the suspect concealed an item and payed for another item. Upon confrontation from a store employee, the suspect stated that they put the concealed item back. The suspect left the store and officers canvassed the area.

2/22/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a package theft report on Beacon St. where the victim reported that packages were taken from their foyer. Officers are currently investigating with video footage provided.

2/22/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the reporting party stated that a subject that they had been talking on social media for over a year with, claimed that they needed money to buy a new phone. The reporting party bought eBay gift cards and gave the subject the codes in order for them to buy a new phone. The fraudulent activity continued and the victim reported to police once they suspected that they were getting scammed.

2/22/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Beacon St. where the employee stated that they observed the subject taking bottles of liquor and leaving the store. Officers are currently investigating with a description of the suspect.

February 18, 2021

 2/17/2021 MOTOR VEHICLE B&E - Officers took a report for a motor vehicle break and enter on Fuller St. The victim returned to their vehicle with their items rummaged through. Detectives are currently searching for surveillance of the area.

2/17/2021 IDENTITY THEFT - Officers took a report of potential identity fraud where the reporting party stated that someone called them claiming to be from Amazon. The caller warned that the victim's account was compromised and that they needed to provide their personal information. Upon doing so, a transaction was attempted to be made on the victim's card. This prompted them to contact police to report fraud.

2/17/2021 SIMPLE ASSAULT - Officers took a report of simple assault where the victim reported that while waiting at a bus stop on Commonwealth Ave., a subject approached them and along with some remarks, spat on the victim's face. Detectives are currently searching for surveillance around the area. 

2/17/2021 ASSAULT AND BATTERY - Officers responded to a report for assault on Webster St. The victim reported that they approached the subject in a restricted area for employees. The interrogation lead the subject to shove the employee and then they proceeded to leave the building. Officers are currently examining camera footage in the building.

February 9, 2021

 2/8/2021 FRAUD - Officers took a report for unemployment fraud where the victim was notified that they filed for unemployment benefits. Since the victim did not file for the benefits, they contacted police. 

2/8/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers took a report for shoplifting on Commonwealth Ave. where two suspects threatened employees and proceeded to exit the establishment with unpaid merchandise. Video surveillance revealed the suspects' getaway vehicle and detectives are currently investigating. 

February 10, 2021

 2/9/2021 BICYCLE THEFT - Officers responded to a bicycle theft on Pleasant St. where the victim reported leaving their bike unlocked at their apartment building. After returning an hour later, the bike was gone.

2/9/2021 LARCENY - Officers responded to a report of a stolen wallet where the victim stated that they went to an ATM and then promptly when to another establishment. Upon realizing that they were missing their wallet, they returned to the ATM. The wallet was not located so the victim contacted employees at the bank. Upon discovering that their wallet has been stolen, they contact police and detectives are currently investigating.

 2/5/2021 LARCENY OF MOTOR SCOOTER - Officers took a report for a motor scooter theft where the reporting party stated that they left their scooter at a bike rack on Beacon St. When they returned, the scooter was gone. 

2/5/2021 BIKE THEFT - Officers responded to a bike theft report on Dwight St. where the reporting party stated that they left their bike in the basement of their building. Upon returning, the bike was gone but there was no forced entry into the basement.

2/5/2021 ID FRAUD - Officers responded to a report for identification fraud as the reporting party stated that someone had filed an unemployment claim under their name. Since they did not file for the benefits, they contacted police and the Commonwealth. _________________________________________________________________________________

2/7/2021 GRAFFITI - Officers responded to a complaint for graffiti on Claflin Path where someone tagged the fence and wall of the building. 

2/7/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a report of a phishing scam where the victim received a text message regarding an unemployment claim. Upon being redirected to a website and entering their information, the victim believed the website to be fraudulent.

February 5, 2021

 2/4/2021 UNEMPLOYMENT FRAUD - Officers responded to a report for unemployment fraud as the reporting party stated that they received a document claiming that they claimed unemployment benefits last year. Since the party did not file for any unemployment benefits, they contacted police to report fraudulent claims. 

2/4/2021 BICICYLE THEFT - Officers responded to a bicycle theft on Still St. where the reporting party claimed that they left their bike on the back porch of their apartment building unlocked. Upon returning half an hour later, the bike was missing.

2/4/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers took a report for a package theft on Marion St. where the reporting party stated that when retrieving their packages, they observed the box to be opened but the contents were still there.

2/3/2021 FRAUD BY CREDIT CARD – Officers responded to a fraud report where the victim stated that their credit card was used to make unauthorized purchases. They contacted the credit card company to report the charges.

February 3, 2021

 

2/1/2021  BICYCLE THEFT - Officers responded to a bicycle theft where the reporting party stated that they left their bike in a common entryway in their building. The doorway requires a key for entry so the victim suspects the perpetrator to be someone from the building. 

2/1/2021 CREDIT CARD FRAUD - Officers responded to a report of credit card fraud where the victim stated that a person called them stating that their credit card has been compromised and they needed to provide their information in order to cease the fraudulent activity. Shortly after the victim gave their information to the caller, numerous transactions were made to their card in another state. This prompted the victim to contact police.

2/2/2021 SCOOTER THEFT - Officers responded to a report for theft of a motorized scooter. The reporting party stated that they parked their scooter at a bike rack on Colchester St. Upon return, they discovered their scooter was missing and contacted police. 

2/2/2021 DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY  - Officers took a damage report where a passerby saw two parking meter tops on lying on the snow. Officers observed the meters missing the tops and are in the process of investigating the damage. 

February 1, 2021

 

Officers responded to three reports of unemployment fraud over the weekend.

 

1/29/2021 FRAUD – Officers responded to a fraud report where the reporting party stated that they were contacted by someone claiming to be a debt collector. They were attempting to collect money for an unpaid service that the victim received. The victim reported to police since they did not receive the reported service and they believed that their personal information had been compromised.

 1/29/2021 BICYCLE THEFT – Officers responded to a bicycle theft on Beaconsfield Rd. where the reporting party claimed that their bike was stolen from the laundry room in the building that they reside in. 

1/29/2021 BURGLARY ATTEMPT – Officers responded to an attempted breaking and entering from the previous night on Washington St. The reporting party claimed that the rear door to their establishment was smashed in. However, nothing in the establishment was missing or out of place. Detectives are currently in the process of a follow up.

 

1/31/2021 BREAK AND ENTER OF MOTOR VEHICLE – Officers responded to a B & E of a motor vehicle on Foster St. where the reporting party stated that they returned to their parked car and stuff was rummaged through.

January 29, 2021

 

1/28/2021 FRAUD -  There were two reports of fraud where victims were contacted by a suspicious party and convinced that they had to transfer money to the party.  In both incidents, the victims suspected the activity to be fraudulent and contacted police.

1/27/2021 BIKE THEFT – Officers responded to the reporting party stating that they last saw their bike in the bike room on Beacon St. Seeing that their bike was missing, they reported to the police.

1/27/2021 VANDALISM TO A MOTOR VEHICLE – Police responded to a damage to an automobile report on Cypress St. where the reporting party stated that their parked vehicle had been keyed the past night.

January 27, 2021

 

1/26/2021 FRAUD – Officers responded to a report of fraudulent use of a credit card on Washington St. The victim reported that unauthorized charges were made on her credit card. The victim stated never losing possession of their card. Through follow-up investigations of the fraudulent charges, officers were able to access video surveillance of the suspect using the card at retail stores.

1/26/2021 PACKAGE THEFT – Officers took a report for a package theft from Euston St. where the reporting party stated that they discovered their package to be opened and items had been taken. Officers are currently obtaining camera footage to seek out the perpetrator.

January 26, 2021

 

1/25/2021 BIKE THEFT – Officers responded to a bicycle theft on Babcock St. where the reporting party stated that they chained their bike on the porch of their home. They found that the bike was later missing but another bike was put in its place. At this time, officers were able to locate the owner of the second bike and are still investigating the missing bike.

1/25/2021 FRAUD – Officers responded to a report of identity fraud where the reporting party stated that they received letters claiming that they were attempting to open multiple bank accounts. Upon contacting the bank, the victim discovered that their personal information had been compromised. This prompted them to report to police to resolve their case of impersonation.

1/25/2021 FRAUD – Officers responded to an unemployment fraud report where the victim stated that they received mail from the IRS that an unemployment claim was filed under their name. Since the party did not file for unemployment benefits, they contacted police and their employer to resolve the issue. 

January 25, 2021

 

1/22/2021 MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT – Officers responded to a report for motor vehicle theft. The reporting party relayed that a subject renting a truck from them never returned the truck. Officers got in contact with the subject and they stated that the truck was left in a parking garage in Boston. Upon not finding the truck, officers notified the subject that they would be charged if they did not find the vehicle.

1/22/2021 HIT & RUN – Officers took report of a hit and run where the victim relayed that while in their parked car, a truck that was turning made contact with their rear passenger door and adjacent driver door. The victim tried to get the driver’s attention but the truck took off from the scene. Officers were able to get in contact with the driver, and they were adamant about not being in Brookline at the time of the incident. Further investigation is in progress.

1/22/2021 FRAUD BY CHECK – Officers took a report where the reporting party stated their family member was a victim of fraud. They discovered that a check written out to another party had been modified. The amount of the check was altered to a greater amount. The bank manager was notified and further investigation is in progress. 

1/22/2021 BREAK AND ENTER AND LARCENY OF A MOTOR VEHICLE - Officers responded to two reports of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on Green St. Both victims had items stolen from their vehicles. 

1/22/2021 THREATS VIA EMAIL – The reporting party came to the station to report that they had received a threatening email where the sender claimed to be a hitman and demanded money. Officers responded by requesting a subpoena for the email address in order to identify the sender.

1/21/2021 FRAUD – Officers took a report for fraudulent activity as the victim reported that a loan was taken out in their name. The loan amount was then deposited to another bank account but the bank could not reveal the name associated with the account to the victim. This prompted the victim to contact police.

1/21/2021 FRAUD – Officers took a report for unemployment fraud as the victim relayed that an unemployment claim had been filed under their name. Since they did not file for the benefits, they contacted the police.

1/21/2021 SIMPLE ASSAULT – Officers responded to a dispute on Brookline Ave. where two subjects were yelling at each other. Officers arrived on scene to deescalate. With evidence from surveillance video, the officers were able to resolve the dispute.

1/21/2021 ASSAULT & BATTERY – Officers responded to Walnut St. for a reported assault. After investigation of the incident, a subject was placed under arrest.

January 21, 2021

 

1/20/2021 SUSPECTED FRAUD – Officers responded to a report from a bank manager on W Roxbury Parkway where they believed that a patron of the bank is the unknowing victim of a scam. The patron has been depositing their money to a bank in another state, believing that they will get the money back soon as part of their investment. This prompted the bank manager to call the police. The patron was reluctant in giving more information and at this time detectives are still investigating.

1/20/2021 PACKAGE THEFT – Officers took report of a package theft on Marion St. where the buyer received an email that their package had been delivered. Seeing that the package was not there, the merchant was contacted. They confirmed that the package was delivered and so the buyer reported to police that their package was stolen.

1/20/2021 UNEMPLOYMENT FRAUD – Officers took a report for unemployment fraud when they were contacted by a citizen stating that their employer received an unemployment claim in their name. Since they did not file for unemployment, a police report has been filed as well as a report with the Department of Unemployment.

1/20/2021 DISPUTE - Officers responded to an altercation on Beacon St. among two citizens. The dispute was over the usage of a parking spot, where a subject accused the other involved person of parking illegally. The accused subject stayed in their car until officers arrived to deescalate and resolve the dispute.

January 20, 2021

1/19/2021 ID FRAUD – Officers responded to an ID fraud report where the victim stated that they received mail in which several banks informed them of accounts opened in their name. Checks as well as debit cards were stated in their name. The victim has now canceled all fraudulent activity under their name.

1/19/2021 BREAKING AND ENTERING – Officers responded to a report for a breaking and entering at a commercial building on Washington St. Owners of the store returned to their property with several items out of place as well as other merchandise missing. Officers suspect that the perpetrator entered through the backdoor in the basement of the store. At this time, the evidence and surveillance is still being examined.

1/19/2021 PACKAGE THEFT – Officers responded to a package theft report on Adams St. where the owner relayed that while away for the weekend, the owner received a notification that their package was delivered and upon returning home, the package was not there.

1/19/2021 UNEMPLOYMENT FRAUD – Officers took 3 reports of unemployment fraud where citizens stated that unemployment benefits where claimed under their names but they never filed for benefits.

1/19/2021 ATTEMPTED LARCENY – Officers took report of attempted larceny where the reporting party observed a suspect on a bicycle attempting to open car doors on Naples Rd. The suspect attempted to open several car doors but was unable to gain entry into any vehicle. The suspect was described by the reporting party and officers are currently looking for the suspect. 

January 19, 2021

 

01/14/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to Walgreens on Harvard St. for a reported shoplifting.  The employees reported that the suspect had been in the store and was observed placing items into a bag and exited the store without purchasing.  An itemized receipt of the stolen product was provided by the merchant.

01/14/2021 FRAUD – Officers took a report of fraud which entailed several unauthorized withdrawals from several credit card accounts.

1/15/2021 SIMPLE ASSAULT – Officers took a report of an assault that occurred at a commercial establishment on Beacon St. The argument and simple assault ensued after a shopping cart was left behind a parked car.

1/15/2021 CREDIT CARD FRAUD – Officers took three reports of credit card fraud where the reporting parties located fraudulent charges on their credit card.

1/15/2021 PACKAGE THEFT – Officers took report of a package theft on Harvard St. where the party received a notification that their packages were delivered but upon arriving home, the packages had been opened and gone through and some contents were taken.

1/15/2021 LARCENY – Officers took report of larceny where the reporting party stated that valuable items were stolen from their home a year ago. The party waited to report because they did not want to make false allegations toward any other parties before backtracking where they could have lost the items.

1/15/2021 SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY – Officers took report of suspicious activity occurring at a home where the reporting party observed an individual in the rear of the house carrying what seemed to be a long screwdriver and was looking for another person. This individual walked away when confronted by the resident and then the resident of the home reported the incident.

1/16/2021 SHOPLIFTING – Officers took report of a shoplifting at Trader Joe’s on Beacon St. The suspect is a regular patron of the store and has shoplifted in the past.

1/16/2021 BREAKING & ENTERING – Officers took a report of a breaking and entering on Ivy St. where the reporting party was alerted by their security system to someone in his backyard. The suspect was not able to enter and the reporting party was not injured.

1/16/2021 FRAUD – Officers took a fraud report where the reporting party received an email that prompted them to purchase numerous Visa gift cards. The party then relayed the gift card information to the email sender. At this time, all the gift cards have been used.

1/17/2021 VEHICLE THEFT – Officers took a report of a motor vehicle theft where the vehicle owner stated that their van was taken from their driveway.

1/18/2021 BIKE LARCENY – Officers took report of a stolen bike at Brookline Village MBTA Stop. The reporting party locked their bike at the stop and took the train into work. Upon returning, the reporting party saw that their bike and lock were missing.  

1/18/2021 MALICIOUS DAMAGE TO AN AUTOMOBILE ­ - Officers took a malicious damage report that had occurred to a school bus. The reporting party stated that the front window of the school bus had been damaged by a rock while it had been parked.

01/13/2021- Officers took a bike theft report from resident of Beacon St.  The victim reported that their bike was locked along Beacon St. when they returned the bike was gone.

01/13/2021- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Boylston St. The resident reported that a package was delivered to their address and when they went to retrieve it the package was gone.

January 13, 2021

 Officers took 8 unemployment fraud reports between 1/5/2021 and 1/13/2021

01/05/2021- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Marion St.  The resident reported that they received a delivery notice for a package they were expecting, but had not arrived.  They instead received a note from a neighbor informing them they found an empty box addressed to them in the trach receptacle on Park St.

01/06/2021- Officers took a package theft report from Commonwealth Ave.  The employees reported to the officers that they obsessed an unknown party leaving the loading dock with multiple packages.

01/07/2021- Officers took a stolen bike report from a resident of Beacon St.  The resident reported that they left their bike inside the foyer of the building. When they returned for the bike they found it was gone.

01/08/2021- Officers responded to CVS on Harvard St for a reported shoplifting.  The employees reported that a customer had been in the store and was observed placing items into a bag and exited the store without purchasing.  During the investigation and search for the customer, officers received a similar call from the Booksmith on Harvard St.  Officers were able to locate and identify the customer who was summonsed into court for the shoplifting charges.

01/09/2021- Offices responded to CVS on Harvard St for a report of stolen equipment.  The employees reported to officers that when they arrived at work they found equipment that belongs to the store was missing.

01/09/2021- Officers took report for graffiti on Gardner Path.

01/10/2021- Officers took a report for a break and enter of a vehicle on Mason Terr.  The resident reported that their vehicle was parked in their driveway overnight.  They received notification from their bank that someone had attempted to use their debit card.  The resident went to look for their card and found that their motor vehicle had been entered and their bag was missing that contained the card.

01/11/2021- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of St. Paul St.   The resident reported that multiple packages had been delivered to their address.  Some of the packages were opened and items were stolen, and the entire package was stolen.  Later another resident from the same address reported that their packages were also stolen during the same timeframe.

01/12/2021- Officers took a report for graffiti from a business on Harvard St.

01/12/2021- Officers were called to a residence on Monmouth St for an unknown person who entered the residence without permission. The resident reported to police that they were in their house when an unknown male walked in their front door. The resident was able to get the male to leave the residence without incident, however noticed the same party attempting to gain access to other residences.  Officers were able to identify the male and he was placed under arrest for outstanding warrants.

01/12/2021- Officers took a bicycle theft report from a resident of St. Paul St.  The resident reported that they had two bikes in their garage. When they went to retrieve their bikes they found that their bikes were gone.

 

 

 

January 4, 2021

 Officers took 5 unemployment fraud reports since 12/21/2020

12/22/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Irving St.  The resident reported to officers that they had a packaged delivered and when they went to retrieve it the contents of the package were gone.

12/22/2020- Officers took a Break & Enter of a motor vehicle report from Evans Rd.  The victim reported that their vehicle was parked in the driveway overnight.  When they awoke in the morning they found the car had been rummaged through. Multiple items were taken.

12/22/2020- Officers took a package theft from a resident of Marshall St.  The resident reported that they had a package that was marked as delivered on 12/06/2020 however they had not received the package.

12/22/2020- Officers took a break & enter of a motor vehicle report from a resident of Walnut St.  The resident reported to the officers that their car was parked in the driveway form 12/17/2020 to 12/21/2020. During that time frame someone had entered the vehicle and rummaged through. Unknown items were taken.

12/23/2020- Offices responded to CVS on Commonwealth Ave for a reported shoplifter.  The employees reported to officers that three customers had just left the store without paying for multiple items. 

12/24/2020- Officers responded to CVS on Harvard St for a reported shoplifter.  The employees reported to officers that a customer had just left the store without purchasing multiple items.

12/24/2020- Officers took a report of a stolen license plate from a resident of Prince St.  The resident reported to officers that their vehicle had been parked in the driveway since 12/17/2020.  Within this time frame someone had removed the rear license plate from their vehicle.

12/28/2020- Officers took a package theft report form a resident of Bowker St.  The resident reported to officers that they had multiple packages delivered between 12/24 and 12/28.  The packages had been opened and the contents were all taken.

12/28/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Longwood Ave.  The resident reported to officers that they received a delivered notification for a package. When they went to retrieve it they found that the package was not at their door.

12/30/2020- Officers responded to a store on Harvard St for a report of a customer who pulled a knife on the employees. It was reported to officers that a customer came in and pulled a knife out and left the store with the item. The subject was located nearby and placed under arrest.

12/30/2020- Officers made an arrest on Harvard St for package thefts. The subject was found with packages addressed to the residents.

12/30/2020- Officers took a package theft from a resident of High St.  The resident reported that they had three packages delivered.  When they went to retrieve the packages they found that they were gone.

 12/31/2020- Officers took a shoplifting report from a business on Harvard St.  The employees reported that a customer had left the store without purchasing items.

12/31/2020- Officers responded to Essex St and Dummer St for a report of a traffic crash.  During the investigation of the accident the operator was placed under arrest of operation under the influence of alcohol and operation after a suspended license.

01/01/2021- Officers responded to Washington St for a report of an operation passed out at the wheel. During the investigation, the operator began to drive away, striking a police vehicle.  The vehicle became disabled and stopped further down Washington St.  The operator was placed under arrest for operation under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop for a police officer, operation to endanger, leaving the scene of an accident and open container of alcohol.

01/01/2021- Officers took a bike theft report from a resident of Worthington Rd.  The resident reported that while in the back yard they noticed that the lock securing their garage door was missing.  Upon investigation they noticed that their bike was missing from the garage as well.

01/01/2021- Officers took a shoplifting report from CVS on Harvard St.  The employees informed officers that a customer came into the store, placed multiple items into a bag and left the sore without purchasing.

01/03/2021- Officers took a larceny report form a resident of Linden St.  The resident reported to the officers they found a hanging planter and a metal planter was missing from their property.

 

 

 

December 22, 2020

 Officers took 7 reports of Unemployment Fraud since 12/6

12/16/2020- Officers conducted a traffic stop for the vehicle failing to stop for a pedestrian in the crosswalk.  The operator was placed under arrest for operation after suspension.

12/16/2020- Officers took a larceny from a motor vehicle report from a resident of Aspinwall Ave. The resident informed officers that the vehicle was parked on the street in front of their residence.  They returned to their car to find multiple items missing.

12/18/2020- Officers took a larceny from a motor vehicle report from a resident of Stearns Rd.  The victim reported that sometime since 12/9 their car had been entered.  They found that multiple items had been taken from the vehicle.

12/20/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Welland Rd.  A neighbor had found a package addressed to the victim along Tappan St.   The package had been torn apart and was empty.  Due to the increase of package thefts, it was brought to the victim’s attention.  The victim reported that the package had not yet been received and the items were stolen.

12/21/2020- Officers took a bike theft report from a resident of Washington St.  The victim reported that they went to check on their bike that was kept in the shared basement of their building and found it had been stolen.

12/21/2020- Officers took a Larceny from a motor vehicle from a resident of Elm St.  The resident reported that their vehicle was parked in their driveway overnight and in the morning when they went to get in they noticed that it had been rummaged through.

 

December 16, 2020

 Officers took 4 unemployment fraud reports between 12/14/2020 and 12/15/2020

12/15/2020- Officers took a bicycle theft report from a resident of Greenway Ct.  The resident reported that their bikes were kept in a shared basement of the building. When they went to check on the bikes they found two of their bikes were gone.

 

December 14, 2020

 Officers took 19 reports of Unemployment Fraud between 12/07 and 12/14

12/07/2020- Officers responded to a radio call for a residential alarm on Woodland Road.  Our Public Safety Dispatchers informed responding units that multiple alarms were activated, and that they were monitoring a subject on camera. Dispatch updated police units upon their arrival that the subject was now in the basement, sitting on a couch. Responding units were given the access code and were able to gain access to the property. Officers immediately went to the basement and located the subject, who was lying on the couch in the middle of the room. Officers arrested the individual who is being charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime with Intent to Commit a Felony, Attempted Larceny and Trespassing as well as several active warrants

12/07/2020- Officers took a report for Graffiti on Brookline Ave.

12/07/2020- Officers took a report from a resident of Newton St who reported that they were informed their catalytic converter and oxygen sensor had been taken from their motor vehicle. The vehicle had been parked in their driveway of the Newton St residence.

12/08/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Stearns Rd.  The resident reported to the officers that they had multiple packages delivered.  When they went to retrieve the packages they found that they were opened and rifled through.  Multiple items were missing from the deliveries.  A second resident of the building also reported having packages opened and rifled through as well.

 12/08/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Park St.  The resident informed officers that they had a package delivered to their building.  The resident reported when they went to the lobby to retrieve the package was gone.

 12/08/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Dwight St.  The resident reported that a package was delivered to their residence, and when they went to the foyer, the package was gone.

12/08/2020- Officers took a report from a resident of Evans Rd. The resident reported to officers that they had ordered groceries to be delivered.  The packages were left on the porch, when they went to retrieve the order, the packages were gone.

12/09/2020- Officers were called to CVS on Beacon St. for a reported shoplifter.  The employees informed the officers that a customer had been in the store and was observed placing items into a bag and leaving the store without purchasing.

12/10/2020- Officers took a bike theft report from a resident of Edgehill Rd.  The resident reported that their bike was taken from the rear of the house some time since November 18, 2020.

12/11/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of New Terrace Rd.  The resident reported that they received a delivery notification for a package, when they went to retrieve it the package was gone.

12/12/2020- Offices took a package theft report from a resident of Beacon St.  The resident reported that they received a delivery notification for a package they were expecting when they went to retrieve the package it was gone.

12/12/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Marion St.  The resident reported that on 12/09 they revived a delivered notification regarding a package.  When they went to retrieve it they found that the package was gone.

 Officers took 18 unemployment fraud reports since 12/02/2020

12/02/2020- Officers made an arrest on Harvard St for multiple warrants. 

12/03/2020- Officers took a larceny report from a resident of Newton St.  The resident reported that they had taken their vehicle to the mechanic after it was making strange sounds.  The mechanic found someone had taken the catalytic converter from the vehicle.

12/05/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Harvard St.  The resident reported that they had received notification that two packages had been delivered.  When they went to retrieve the packages they found that the packages were gone.

12/05/2020- Officers took a larceny report from a business on Commonwealth Ave.  The employees reported that when they arrived for work in the morning they found that multiple items were missing from the property.

12/05/2020- Officers took a package theft from a resident of Harvard St.  The resident reported that on 12/03/2020 they received a notification that a package had been delivered. When they went to retrieve it the package was gone.

12/06/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Harvard St.  The resident reported that a package had arrived on 12/3 in their vestibule. When the resident went to retrieve the package they found it was gone.

11/25/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Babcock St.  The resident reported to the officers that they had a delivery notice for a package, when they went to retrieve the package; it had been taken from the fount of their building.

11/25/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Babcock St.  The resident reported to the officers that they had a delivery notice for a package, when they went to retrieve the package; it had been taken from the fount of their building.

11/26/2020- Officers took a Break and Enter report from a resident of Green St.  The resident reported to the officers that their car was parked in the parking lot overnight, when they went out to their vehicle they noticed multiple items were missing from their car.

11/26/2020- Officers took a bike theft report from a resident of Hawes St.  The resident reported that their bike was missing from their back yard. 

11/26/2020- Officers responded to the area of St. Paul and Parkman St for a report of an attempted motorcycle theft.  The caller was able to give a description to the responding officers.  Officers were able to locate an individual in the area who was placed under arrest for multiple warrants, damage to the bike and drug possession.

11/26/2020- Officers took a stolen bike report from Calrton St.  The victim reported to officers that their bike was locked to a pole on Calrton St.  When they returned for the bike, it was gone along with the lock.

11/27/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Thatcher St.  The resident reported that they got a notification of a package being delivered; when they went to retrieve it the package was gone.

11/27/2020- Officers took a report from Harvard St.  The victim reported that they had left some belongings on a bench while utilizing a park.  When they went to retrieve their items, the victim reported they were gone.

11/30/2020- Officers made an arrest on a warrant on Washington St.

12/01/2020- Offices responded to CVS on Beacon St for a shoplifting report.  The employees reported to the officers that a customer was observed concealing items in a bag and leaving the store without purchasing.

12/01/2020- Officers responded to CVS on Commonwealth Ave. for a report of shoplifting.  The employees reported to officers that a customer was in the store and seen concealing items in a bag and leaving without purchasing.

 Officers took 8 reports of Unemployment fraud since 11/22/2020

11/23/2020- Officers took a stolen bike report from a resident of Pleasant St.  The resident reported to officers that they went to check on their bike in the garage of their building and they found the bike was gone.

 Between 11/20 and 11/23 officers took 26 Unemployment fraud reports. 

11/21/2020- Officers made a warrant arrest on Commonwealth Ave. 

11/21/2020-Officers took a report for bike theft on St. Paul St.  The resident reported that they had gone into the basement and noticed a bike on the ground outside the door.  Due to the uptick of bike thefts in the area the resident took a look around the basement and found multiple cut locks.  After checking with other residents it was found that at least one bike was missing.

11/22/2020- Officers took a bike theft report from Beacon St.    The victim reported that they had their bike in the bike rack and when they went back to retrieve it the bike was gone.

 Officers took 3 unemployment fraud reports between 11/17 and 11/18

11/18/2020- Officers responded to CVS on Commonwealth Ave for a report of a shoplifter.  The employees reported to the officers that a customer was in the store and had placed multiple items into a bag and leave the store without purchasing.

11/18/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Dummer St.  The resident reported to officers that they had received a delivery notification for a package. When they went to retrieve the package they found that the package was missing.

11/18/2020- Officers took a stolen bike report from a resident on Freeman St.  The resident reported that their bike was stolen from the basement storage room of the building.

11/18/2020- Officers took a stolen bike report from a resident of Pleasant St.  The resident reported that their bike was stolen from their garage.

11/18/2020- Officers took a stolen bike report from a resident of Pleasant St.  The resident reported to the officers that their bike was stolen from the garage.  It had been locked to a child’s bike, the lock had been cut and the child’s bike was left behind.

 Offices took 14 unemployment fraud reports from 11/17-11/18

11/17/2020- Officers took graffiti report on Marion St.  It was reported to officers that workers reported to work to find that there were graffiti markings on the roof of the building.

11/17/2020- Officers responded to Walgreens on Harvard St. for a report of a shoplifter.  The employees reported to the officers that a customer had come in and placed multiple items into a bag and left the store without purchasing. 

11/17/2020-Officers were called to Brookline Bank on Beacon St for a report of robbery that had just occurred. The suspect is described as a White/Latinx male, slim build, 40-50 years old, approximately 5’8” wearing a hoodie and a blue hat with a white logo on it. The suspect demanded money from bank employees using a note, which indicated he had a gun. The suspect fled the bank on foot, towards Park Drive.

11/17/2020- Officers took a stolen bike report from a resident of Pleasant St.  The resident reported to officers that two bikes were taken from their garage.

11/17/2020- Officers took a stolen bike report from a resident of Pleasant St.  The resident reported to officers that their bike was placed in the underground garage of their building.  When they went to retrieve it they found the bike was gone.

11/17/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Kent St.  The resident reported that they got a delivered confirmation for a package. When they went to retrieve it the package was gone.

 Officers took 19 reports for Unemployment fraud between 11/15 and 11/16

11/16/2020- Officers took a larceny of a purse report from a resident of Mulford St.  The resident reported that their purse had possibly been stolen at a business on Washington St.  They had been running errands all day and when they returned home they found their bag was gone.  The business on Washington St was the last place they recalled seeing it.

 

11/16/2020

 Between 11/12/2020- and 11/15/2020 officers took 33 reports for Unemployment Fraud.

11/12/2020- Officers took a graffiti report for damage done to a town owned street sign.

11/13/2020- Offices took a report for a break and enter of a motor vehicle on Boylston St.  The victim reported to the officers that their vehicle had been parked in a lot on Boylston St.  When they went to retrieve their vehicle, they found it had been rummaged though and multiple items removed.

11/13/2020- Officers took a package theft report from a resident of Babcock St.  The resident reported to the officers that they received a delivered notification on a package they were waiting for. When they went to retrieve the package they found it was gone.

11/14/2020- Officers were called to CVS on Harvard St for a report of a shoplifting.  The employees informed officers that there was a customer in the store who had been attempting to shoplift from the store. 

11/14/2020- Officers took a report for a larceny from Center St.  The victim reported that they were dropping someone off on Centre St.  While helping the individual into their house, someone took items from their car.

11/15/2020- Officers took a shoplifting report from Target on Commonwealth Ave.   The employees reported to officers that a customer had been in the store earlier in the week and had placed multiple items in a back pack and left the store without purchasing.

11/15/2020- Officers took a larceny report from a business on Harvard St.  Employees reported coming into the business and found that items within the office were out of place and multiple items were missing.

11/15/2020- While investigating a shoplifting case at Target on Commonwealth Ave.  Officer identified two individuals who were attempting to leave the store without purchasing items.  Both parties were placed under arrest for multiple charges, including Shoplifting.  

11/15/2020- Officers took a report for a break and enter of a motor vehicle on Dummer St.   The resident reported that their car had been parked in the garage on Dummer St.  When they returned to the car they found that it had been rummaged through and multiple items had been removed.
