Arrest: 3/13 at 5:17 PM- Boylston St. / Sumner Rd.
A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had a suspended license. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Larceny Arrests: 3/13 at 4:57 PM- Harvard St.
Officers received a call for a shoplifting in the area of Harvard St. Officers were able to locate a subject in the area who matched the description. An employee positively identified the subject as the shoplifter. The female shoplifting subject entered a vehicle occupied by two male individuals. A search of the vehicle revealed items from another Brookline business for which a receipt could not be produced. All three individuals were then placed under arrest for Larceny from a Building. The female arrestee will additionally be charged with Possession of a Class C Drug and Possession of Class A Drug.

Not Duly Licensed: 3/14 at 12:21 AM- Washington St. / Pond Ave.
An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop for the red traffic light as it traveled onto Washington Street. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington Street at Pond Avenue. A query revealed that the driver did not have a valid license. The driver was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.
Breaking and Entering Arrest: 3/14 at 5:46 AM- Park St.
Officers responded to Park St. for the report of a breaking and entering. The victim stated that he awoke to find an unknown male asleep on his living room couch. A search of the suspect produced 2 laptops, a digital camera, a bottle of cologne and several other items that were positively identified as belonging to the residents. The suspect was then placed under arrest for Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime, Larceny in a Building, Trespassing, and Possession of Burglarious Tools.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Boylston St. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. at Duffley Court. A query revealed that the driver did not have a valid license. The driver was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

Shoplifting: 3/12 at 5:19 PM- Commonwealth Ave.
An employee of a Commonwealth Ave. business reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that an individual left the store without making any purchase, and a short time later it was discovered that two jackets were missing. The suspect was described as a W/M, late 20s to early 30s, blue jeans, black jacket and a blue backpack.

An officer observed a vehicle parked in a no parking area. A query of the driver’s information revealed that he had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Officers responded to the area of High St. for the report of a male individual urinating in public. Upon arrival, officers located an individual who matched the description. A witness positively identified the subject and he was placed under arrest for Open and Gross.

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left hand turn from Chestnut Hill Ave. onto Clinton Rd. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Clinton Rd. A query revealed that the driver did not have a valid license and that she had a warrant out of Brighton District Court. The driver was placed under arrest for the warrant and Unlicensed Operation.

Officers responded to the area of Chestnut Hill Ave for a report of a subject looking into parked motor vehicles. Officers were able to locate a subject fitting the description in the area. A query revealed that the subject had two default warrants out of Brockton and Quincy District Courts. A search produced several items that had been removed from vehicles. The subject was placed under arrest.

An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he parked his vehicle on Egmont St. at approximately 2:50 PM on 3/10. When he returned he discovered that the rear passenger window had been smashed in. The victim reported several text books and a thumb drive stolen from the vehicle.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling with defective equipment. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Commonwealth Ave. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the vehicle did not have an inspection sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.
Drug Arrests: 3/10 at 11:37 PM- High St.
Officers observed a vehicle fail to stop for a stop sign. The officers initiated a traffic stop on High St. A consent search of a passenger produced marijuana, Oxycodone, and cash. The passenger was placed under arrest for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D, and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law. A search of the driver produced several pills for which he did not have a prescription. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension, Possession of Class B, and Possession of Class C. A second passenger was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law.

An individual reported the larceny of a laptop. The victim stated that she placed a laptop in an open bag underneath a desk in her office. When she returned to her office she discovered that the laptop was missing.

OUIL: 3/10 at 3:24 AM- Washington St.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at night time without an illuminated license plate. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. Upon reaching the driver’s window the officer could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. Based on the observations the driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor.

B&E MV: Between 3/8 and 3/9- Fairway Rd.
A Fairway Rd. resident reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that she parked her vehicle in her driveway overnight on 3/8, and when she returned the next morning she discovered that someone had entered the car. The victim stated that the front passenger seat had been reclined and the contents of the glove compartment were strewn throughout the front of the vehicle. The victim did not report anything stolen from the vehicle.

Officers responded to Chestnut Pl. for a report of two male subjects causing a disturbance. Officers were able to stop two subjects who matched the description in the area. While in the presence of the officers, the two individuals started yelling and acting in an aggressive manner. The two individuals were placed under arrest for Disturbing the Peace.

An employee of a Beacon St. business reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that she observed a female suspect conceal items from the store in her clothing. The suspect was in the company of two other females. A search of all three individuals produced items from other Brookline businesses for which the individuals could not produce receipts. One individual was arrested for Larceny over $250 and Shoplifting. The other two individuals will be summonsed to court for the same offenses.
Operating after Suspension: 3/5 at 2:02 AM- St. Paul St. / Dummer St.
Officers observed an individual sleeping in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

A TJ Maxx employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that he observed an individual conceal items in her handbag. The subject was placed under arrest for shoplifting.

Assault/Shoplifting: 3/4 at 5:26 PM- Beacon St.
A Trader Joe’s employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that an individual was observed placing items into a personal bag. When confronted, the individual shoved an employee and fled the store. Officers were able to locate an individual who matched the description in the area. After a brief foot chase, officers were able to stop the subject. A query revealed that the subject had an active arrest warrant. Employees positively identified this individual as the person who was in the store. The subject was placed under arrest for Shoplifting, Assault and Battery, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.

A query revealed that the driver did not have a license and that he had a warrant out of Malden District Court. The driver was placed under arrest for Unlicensed Operation and the warrant.

An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop for pedestrians in a marked crosswalk on Harvard St. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Longwood Ave. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was then placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension. During a search of the vehicle officers recovered several bottles of alcohol. The driver and three passengers were placed under arrest for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Package Theft: 2/26 between 3:30 and 5:30 PM- Parkman St.
A Parkman St. resident reported the theft of a package. The victim stated that she returned home to find a package on her front steps that had been ripped open. The contents of the package had been removed.
Burglary: 2/26 between 9:30 AM and 7:30 PM- Coolidge St.
A Coolidge St. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that upon returning home he discovered that his laptop was missing. Entry is believed to have been made through a rear window.
Burglary: 2/26 between 5:30 and 8:30 PM- Gibbs St.
A Gibbs St. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that when she returned home she discovered that someone had forced entry through her front window into her apartment and stolen her laptop, luggage, and jewelry.

An officer was conducting a traffic stop on Beacon St. at Chestnut Hill Ave. when she observed a pedestrian throw a glass bottle on the ground causing it to break. Officers were dispatched to the area of Naples Rd. for the report of two males subjects looking into backyards. Two individuals matching the description were located and stopped in the area. A query of the individuals’ information revealed that one of the individuals had a warrant out of Cambridge District Court. That individual was placed under arrest.

Officers were dispatched to a Harvard St. business for a report of customers who would not leave after being asked to by employees. Officers were able to locate two individuals in the area who fit the description. A search of one individual produced several prescription pills for which he was not prescribed. A consent search produced (6) individual bags of marijuana and USC. The driver was placed under arrest for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D.

Burglary Arrest
Officers made an arrest in connection to a burglary that occurred on 2/7/13 on Clark Rd. The victim stated that someone attempted to use her credit cards shortly after the burglary took place at a Watertown business. Officers were able to review video surveillance from the business to determine two suspects. Officers were able to identify one suspect from the video with the help of detectives from Braintree and Watertown. Officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the suspect’s Watertown residence. Based on the findings of the search the suspect was placed under arrest for: Breaking and Entering, Larceny from a Building, Identity Fraud, and Using lost or stolen unlawfully obtain credit card.

Officers responded to a residential alarm on Pleasant St. Officers were able to determine that forced entry had been made via a window. Officers were not able to locate a suspect. It is unknown if anything was stolen from the residence.

Receiving Stolen Property: 2/17 at 8:50 PM- Carlton St. / Colchester St.
A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had a warrant for her arrest out of Concord District Court. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Colchester St. and Carlton St. The passenger was confirmed to be the registered owner of the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle had an expired license and a warrant out of Cambridge District Court. The operator and the passenger were both placed under arrest for their respective warrants. A search of the vehicle revealed various credit cards and MBTA Charlie Cards that did not belong to either of the arrestees. Both individuals were charged with 5 counts of Receiving Stolen Credit Card.

An officer observed a vehicle travel through a red light onto St. Paul St. The officer initiated a traffic stop on St. Paul St. Upon reaching the driver’s window the officer could detect an odor of alcohol emanating from his person. Officers observed a vehicle parked on Beacon St. with smashed front and rear driver side windows. Officers were able to make contact with the owner of the vehicle who stated that the damage occurred between 7:30 PM and 2:36 AM. There was nothing reported missing from the vehicle.

Officers were able to locate a suspect in the rear stairwell of the building. The suspect was placed under arrest.

Suspect #1 additionally had a warrant out of Boston District Court. Suspect #1 was placed under arrest for Shoplifting and the warrant. Suspect #2 was placed under arrest for Shoplifting.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling with a broken taillight. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Washington Street and White Place. A query revealed that the driver had two outstanding warrants out of Brighton District Court. The query also revealed that the driver did not have a valid license. The driver was placed under arrest for the two warrants and Operating without a License.

An individual reported malicious damage to her vehicle. The victim stated that sometime between 2/10 and 2/12, unknown person(s) smashed the front windshield, shattered the sunroof, and dented the vehicle. The vehicle was parked on Tappan St.

Assault: 2/8 at 5:55 PM- Washington St./Jamaicaway
Officers responded to the area of Washington St. for a report of an assault and battery. The victim stated that she was walking down the street when an unknown male punched her in the side of her face. Officers were able to stop an individual matching the description in the area. While speaking to the individual, the subject lunged at an officer and struck him in the face with a closed fist. The first victim was able to positively identify this individual as the man who had assaulted her. The individual was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery and Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.

Operating after Revocation: 2/11 at 2:57 AM- Kent St.
A query of a vehicle’s registration revealed that the registered owner had a revoked license. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Kent St. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation.

Officers responded to the intersection of Harvard Street and Coolidge Street for a traffic crash. Upon arrival officers observed a MV stuck in a snow bank on Harvard St. Officers could detect an odor of alcohol emanating from the driver’s person. Based on the officer’s observations the driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor.

A Walgreen’s employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that she observed an individual place items in a personal bag and leave the store without paying. The suspect fled on Harvard St. Officers were unable to locate a suspect matching the description.

A CVS employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that he observed a suspect conceal items in his jacket and flee the store without paying. Officers were able to stop an individual in the area who matched the description given by the employee. The employee positively identified the subject as the shoplifter. The suspect will be summonsed to court.

B&E MV/ Larceny: 2/7 at 2:57 AM- Clinton Rd.
An officer observed a suspicious male subject walking on Clinton Rd. The officer conducted a stop of this individual and he was found to be in possession of a large amount of spare change and an iPod. The owner of the iPod was contacted and it was confirmed that it had been stolen from his unlocked vehicle on Clinton Rd. The suspect was placed under arrest for Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle with Intent to Commit a Felony and Larceny over $250. There were several other car breaks reported in the area overnight.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Clyde St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Clyde St. at Larkin Rd. A license and registration check revealed that the driver had an expired license. The driver was placed under arrest for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
OUIL: 2/7 at 1:59 AM- Chestnut St. / Kendall St.
Officers responded to the area of Chestnut St and Kendall St. for a noise complaint originating from MV parked on Chestnut St. listening to loud music. Upon arrival the officers observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the street with the engine running. The driver of the vehicle was asleep upon officers’ arrival. The officers could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the occupant. Based on the observations the driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor. He was additionally charged with Operating after Suspension and Open Container.

Officer stopped and identified the subject. During this time, the defendant
appeared nervous and kept looking both to his right and left and not making eye
contact with the officer.
The officer noticed the suspect had an IPOD
hanging out of the top left pocket of his coat.
Officers
spoke with a homeowner on Clinton
Rd, who identified and confirmed his IPOD was
stolen from his vehicle.
Based on the above facts,
at that time, the suspect was placed into custody and transported for booking
to the Brookline Police Station.

The meeting is Monday February 11th at 7:00PM, Devotion School cafeteria, 345 Harvard Street Brookline. Chief Daniel O'Leary from Brookline Police along with Chief Robbins from BU police will be in attendance. Topics to be discussed include the recent robberies and the arrest made. Brookline Police will discuss the enforcement efforts at the quality of life issues in the area.

Armed Robbery Arrest

Two subjects have been arrested for the recent armed robbery and stabbing at Pleasant Street and Browne Street on Jan 29th.
This afternoon officers from the department took into custody Wallace Vick, dob. 7-12-93, age 19 from Gaylord Street in Dorchester and Shaqone Cazeau, dob. 9-10-92, age 20, from Lindsey Street Boston.
Both are being charged with Armed Robbery While Masked and Armed Assault With Intent to Murder.
Both are currently being held on bail, they should be arraigned tomorrow at the Brookline District court on Washington Street.

An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that someone had broken into his vehicle that had been parked on Browne St. sometime between 4:00 AM and 7:00 AM. A GPS unit was reported missing.
Robbery: 1/29 at 8:31 PM- Browne St./ Pleasant St.
Officers responded to Pleasant Street at Browne Street for a report of a street robbery. The victim stated that he was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground and had his laptop, a cell phone and an iPad stolen as he was walking on Pleasant Street. The victim stated that he was attacked by two male subjects that had been sitting on the steps in front of a Pleasant Street address. The suspects were both described as being about 5'10" tall, wearing black sweatshirts or fleece jackets, and blue jeans with masks covering their faces. The victim stated that the suspects fled down Browne Street towards St. Paul Street. The victim sustained a non-life threatening stab wound.

An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that someone had broken into his vehicle that had been parked on Browne St. sometime between 4:00 AM and 7:00 AM. A GPS unit was reported missing.
Robbery: 1/29 at 8:31 PM- Browne St./ Pleasant St.
Officers responded to Pleasant Street at Browne Street for a report of a street robbery. The victim stated that he was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground and had his laptop, a cell phone and an iPad stolen as he was walking on Pleasant Street. The victim stated that he was attacked by two male subjects that had been sitting on the steps in front of a Pleasant Street address. The suspects were both described as being about 5'10" tall, wearing black sweatshirts or fleece jackets, and blue jeans with masks covering their faces. The victim stated that the suspects fled down Browne Street towards St. Paul Street. The victim sustained a non-life threatening stab wound.

The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Longwood Ave and Kent St. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner and he was placed under arrest for the warrants.

Update on armed robbery
Armed robbery 1-29-13 at 8:30 PM at Browne and Pleasant Streets. The police department is working on this case and has developed some leads. This case is not connected to the prior case earlier this month, for which there was an arrest made. We are working with BU police and have increased patrols in marked and unmarked cars. Suspect 1 was described as a white male in his mid-twenties, with a medium build, approximately 6'3" tall, with a large nose and unshaven. Suspect 2 was described as a white male in his mid-twenties, with a medium, approximately 6'3" tall. The suspects grabbed the victims’ purses and iPhones and fled towards Commonwealth Ave. A search of the area did not yield any results.

Motor Vehicle- 1/8 – Winslow Rd
Officer responded to a call of Breaking &Entering in
which several items were taken from a motor vehicle. The victim believes he did
lock his car, and returned to find the door handle pushed upwards. Several
items from inside the vehicle were missing and this is when he notified the
Police.
Sector 2
Larceny- 1/8 at 6:15pm – Beacon St
Officer responded for a report of larceny. The caller claims
that several weeks ago he had ordered a package and never received it. Delivery
was confirmed for several weeks ago by USPS, and was left in the foyer of the
building. On this date the caller also noticed a framed photo to be missing
from inside his office. The caller believes a resident in the building to be
responsible. Police are investigating.

Straight Warrant- 1/8 at 5:55am – Village Way
Officers responded to conduct a warrant sweep issued out of
Roxbury District Court. Officers were able to locate the suspect in her home
and place her under arrest for Larceny, Uttering False Check, and Forgery of
Check.

Revocation- 1/8 – Harvard St
Officer observed a vehicle make a marked lanes violation and
pulled the vehicle over. The operator did not have a copy of his license on
him, and provided information that came back false. When he provided his true
name and information, it was revealed that his license had been revoked. He was
placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation and Marked Lanes violation.

Officers responded to a call of a past larceny. The caller
reported that on 12/12/12 he received confirmation that his package had been
delivered to the front hall foyer of his building. There is no lock to the
front hall. The Police advise that you request a signature for confirmation and
security of all deliveries.

Suspension- 1/7 – Beacon & Washington St
Officer observed a vehicle making a U-turn that drove over
the curb and caused the officer to apply the brakes. The Officer pulled the
vehicle over and a license and registration check revealed that the operator
had a suspended license status. The operator was placed under arrest and issued
citations for Operating after Suspension, Failure to grant Right of Way, and
Improper Right Turn.

An Officer using radar observed a vehicle traveling at 56
mph, in a posted 40 mph zone. The officer pulled the vehicle over, and a

had revoked insurance. The operator was placed under arrest for Operating after

Robbery- 1/5 – Aspinwall Ave
Victims called the police to report a robbery the night before. The victims claim they took a cab home, where the cab driver followed them into the foyer of their house demanding more money and then took the victims cell phone. When the victim attempted to retrieve the cell phone, the driver assaulted him and then drove off.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling with an expired registration sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A license and registration check revealed that the operator did not have a valid driver’s license. The operator will be summonsed to court for Operating a MV without a License.

Burglary/Attempt- 1/4 at
12:35am – Browne St
Officer responded to a call of a victim who returned home
from vacation to find her apartment had been attempted to be entered. The lock
to the front door had been bent, and several of the screws to hold it in place
were missing. The back door to the house had some damage as well, as if an
attempt were made to pry it open. The attempt to enter the apartment was unsuccessful
and nothing was missing. Other burglaries were reported in this area during the same time frame.
Sector 2
Larceny- 1/3 at 12:00pm – Linden
Place
Officers were dispatched for a report of larceny from a
nativity scene. Officers were able to review footage of a camera that shows two
suspects taking two pieces from the nativity set. Police are undergoing an
investigation.
St, Mary's Church Brookline Mass:
The manger is set up in front of the rectory at 5 Linden Place. On December 22, 2012, at
12:25 AM Two woman are seen, one climbs in the manger and has her picture taken
by the other one. The woman is seen
taking a Lamb then returning about 15 minutes later and taking a cow. Police are following up with the video and are hoping people may recognize these woman from the neighborhood. The video also shows a resident walking a small white dog who may have seen the young women. Anyone with information regarding the two suspects, or a resident in the area of Linden and Hurd Rd owning a small white dog are asked to call the Brookline Police.

Suspect Wanted for Breaking and Entering
Overview:
On 12/31/2012 at approximately 1845 hrs, there was a residential break-in on Short St, Brookline MA where a neighbor observed a subject running from the scene. After an investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for Roy BONE for this crime. BONE often utilizes windows and sliding glass doors to gain entry to residences. It is believed he is on foot and he often steals electronics and jewelry.

Suspension- 1/3 at 1:30am – Washington St
Officers observed a vehicle travelling with a defective
headlight and pulled the vehicle over. A license and registration check
revealed the operator had a suspended license, and was placed under arrest for
Operating after Suspension.
Sector 2
Operating after
Suspension- ½ at 8:42am – St. Paul St
Officers observed a vehicle operating with an expired
registration sticker and pulled the vehicle over. A license and registration
check revealed that the operator did have a suspended right to operate a
vehicle, and confirmed the vehicles status had been revoked. Operator was
placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 3
Burglary- 1/1 at 8:30pm – Beacon St
Officers responded to a call of a breaking and entering, and
larceny. The victims reported going out the previous night, and the next
morning discovered several items to be missing. There was no sign of forced
entry, and several of the windows may have been left unlocked.
Sector 9
Operating after
Suspension- 1/1 – Independence Rd
Officer observed a vehicle travel through a red light, and
also observed the operator not wearing a safety belt. Officer pulled the car
over and after running a check of the license and registration, it was
discovered that the operator had a suspended license. The operator was placed
under arrest and issued citations for Operating after Suspension, Red Light
Violation, and Seatbelt Violation.
Burglary- 1/1 at 1:39am – St. Paul St
Officers responded to a call of Breaking and Entering, as
the caller returned home to find his house had been entered and several
electronic items were missing. It was determined that someone had gained access
to the house through a rear sliding glass door
Sector 1
Not Duly Licensed- 12/31 at 8:40pm – Beacon St
Officer observed a vehicle make a sudden maneuver that
caused other vehicles to brake to avoid an accident. The Officer pulled the
vehicle over and asked for a license and registration. The operator did not
have a license and was placed under arrest. The owner of the vehicle will be
mailed a citation for Allowing an Improper Person to Operate his vehicle.
Sector 3
Larceny- 12/31 at 7:08pm – Short St
Officers responded to a call of a Breaking and Entering. Victims
returned home to find their apartment door was deadbolt locked, which the
tenants claim they never do. As one of the tenants attempted to enter the
apartment they could hear someone on the other side of the door, however nobody
was found inside once police arrived. A screen to the window on the side of the
building had been tampered with and it was determined this is how entry was
made.
Sector 2
Larceny-Shoplifting- 12/31 at 4:47pm – Harvard St
Officers responded to a call of shoplifting for a suspect
who was seen fleeing on foot. A store employee and officer on detail were able
to pursue on foot and give a description of the suspect. Other officers
detained a suspect fitting the description, and the store employee was able to
identify him as the one seen fleeing the store. Suspect was placed under arrest
for Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest, and two active warrants against the suspect.
