CHECK FRAUD

Officers received a report of fraud by check.

Officers responded to a report of fraud, where a company who was hacked defrauded a customer.

Officers responded to a report of fraud, where someone impersonating an officer called the reporting party and demanded money.

Tuesday, May 19

FRAUD

Officers received a reported of fraud, where someone claiming to be from Apple told the reporting party their account was hacked. 

LARCENY

Officers responded to a report of a stolen wallet from Brookline High School.

LARCENY OF BIKE

Officers responded to a report of a stolen bike from the basement of apartment building on Browne Street. 

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers found a unattended purse at the MBTA Saint Mary's stop which is at the Brookline Police Station for safekeeping.

BUILDING FIRE

Officers responded to a building fire on Hammond Street, caused by being struck by lightning.  

Wednesday, May 20

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

Officers received a report of malicious damage, where the reporting parties car had been damaged multiple times.

INTERNET FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud where the reporting party was messaged by an unknown party offering to be their stock broker. 

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers responded to a report of a found cellphone at the intersection of Pond Avenue and Allerton Road. The property is now at the Brookline Police Department for safe keeping. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting from the Target on Commonwealth Avenue. 

LARCENY

Officers responded to a report of larceny from an apartment on Pleasant Street. 

SCAM

Officers responded to a scam where the reporting party was initially told there was a security issue with their laptop.

PACKAGE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of package theft from a building on Beacon Street. 

Saturday, May 23

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud, where the reporting party was told to get Apple products for a promotional deal, but did not receive the deal. 

LOST PROPERTY

Officers responded to a report of lost property, where the reporting party lost their phone.

Sunday, May 24

BIKE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of a stolen bike from a residence on Wolcott Road, where the garage door was open and the reporting party's bike was gone.
