FRAUD

Officers received a report of fraud, where the reporting party got an email regarding a leased computer, however the individual never leased the product. 

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud where a individual asked for money in return for more money to the reporting party, but never completed the exchange, defrauding the reporting party.

Tuesday, May 26

BUILDING FIRE

Officers responded to a building fire on Longwood Avenue, where smoke was spotted emanating from the basement. 

LARCENY OF BIKE

Officers responded to a report of larceny of a bike. The reporting party stated the bike was parked in a parking spot and gone the next morning. 

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of motor vehicle theft from a hotel on Brookline Avenue. 

PACKAGE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of package theft from a building on Beacon Street. When the reporting party attempted to locate their package, they found it stolen. 

CREDIT CARD FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of credit card fraud, where the reporting party dropped their credit card and saw unauthorized charges on it. 

Wednesday, May 27

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers responded to a iPhone crash notification in the area of Chestnut Hill Ave and Dean Road, but were only able to locate a cell phone in the middle of the road. The property is now at the Brookline Police Station for safekeeping.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD

Officers received a report of fraudulent use of a credit card, where the reporting party noticed authorized withdrawals from their account.

Officers responded to a report of a fire from a commercial building on Boylston Street.

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of theft on Commonwealth Avenue.

Friday, May 29

FRAUD

Officers received a report of fraud, where the reporting party noticed fraudulent withdrawals from their bank account. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Commonwealth Avenue. 

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud where the reporting party was scammed through Zelle. 

CAR BREAK

Officers responded to a report of a car break on Village Way.

GRAFFITI

Officers received a report of graffiti on the sides of buildings on Harvard Street.

LARCENY

Officers responded to a report of theft where the reporting party noticed the wiring harness to their fog lights deliberately cut and missing. 

FIRE

Officers responded to a report of a fire in the top floors of the Dexter Southfield School on Newton Street.

Officers responded to a report of a car break on Laurel Road.

SHOPLIFTING 

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Boylston Street. 

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud, where the reporting party was scammed while trying to get hockey tickets. 

Sunday, May 31

LARCENY

Officers responded to a report of larceny of a purse from the Pond Ave walking path.

BIKE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of a bike theft from a building on Alton Place. 

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of theft of a motorcycle from where it was parked on Harvard Street.

BIKE THEFT

Officers received a report of a bicycle theft from Lanark Road.
