Monday, June 30

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

A report of malicious damage on Beacon St and Harvard St was filed with police. Around twenty stickers were placed on town property on both streets and have been difficult to remove due to the strong adhesive used. 

LOST PROPERTY

An individual reported a lost passport to the front desk of the Brookline Police Station.

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Commonwealth Ave. The suspect was caught by police on the scene and has been summoned to Brookline District Court. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to another complaint of shoplifting on Commonwealth Ave. The suspect was arrested and the stolen items were recovered. 

MOTORCYCLE THEFT

A report of motorcycle theft on Harvard St was filed with police. 

Tuesday, July 1

ANIMAL VIOLATION

Officers responded to a multiple animal disturbance on Arlington Rd. A fine was issued to the owner. 

BURGLARY

An individual reported a burglary to the front desk of the Brookline Police Station. 

FRAUD 

Officers responded to a report of fraud on High St. The reporting party was scammed through an email that locked their computer screen, then prompted to purchase gift cards to have the screen unlocked. 

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud on Longwood Ave. The victim initially received a text message saying that a large purchase had been made on one of their accounts, then received more regarding different accounts. After various calls with individuals claiming to work for different government agencies and banks, the victim was scammed into transferring money to one of the callers. 

LARCENY OF MOPED

An individual filed a report of a stolen moped with the Brookline Police Department. The moped was previously left unsecured on Harvard St. 

CREDIT CARD FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of credit card fraud on Brown St. The reporting party was notified of multiple unauthorized purchases made on their account and noticed they'd received numerous scam emails from various government agencies.

BURGLARY

A burglary was reported on Woodland Rd.

Thursday, July 3

SHOPLIFTING

A shoplifting was reported on Commonwealth Ave. The suspect was arrested for multiple warrants by Brookline Police on the scene.  

CREDIT CARD FRAUD 

Officers responded to a report of credit card fraud on Beacon St. 

Friday, July 4

GRAFFITI 

A report of spray paint was filed on Beacon St. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a reported shoplifting on Commonwealth Ave. 

LARCENY

A larceny of cash was reported on Pleasant St. 

MALICIOUS DAMAGE TO MOTOR VEHICLE

Officers received a report of keying a motor vehicle on Corey Rd. 

Saturday, July 5

BURGLARY

Officers received a report of a possible breaking and entering on Longwood Ave. The suspect was arrested and stolen items were recovered. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a reported shoplifting on Commonwealth Avenue..

Officers responded to a reported shoplifting on Beacon St.
