 Monday, July 7

MALICIOUS DAMAGE 

A report of malicious damage on Pleasant St was filed with Brookline Police. The suspect was summoned to the Brookline District Court. 

CREDIT CARD FRAUD

An individual on Stearns Rd reported fraudulent charges on their credit card. The charges originated from a location with which the individual has never visited. 

ANIMAL BITE

An individual approached the front desk at the Brookline Police Station to report that their dog was bitten by another dog on Highland Rd/Jamaica Rd. 

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

Officers responded to suspicious activity on Addington Rd. The individual reported that they returned home from a trip and noticed multiple items around their home were moved to different positions/rooms. Officers found no signs of forced entry and nothing was reported stolen. 

BURGLARY

Officers received a report of a breaking and entering on West Roxbury Pk.

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud occurring at the intersection of Babcock and Harvard St. The reporting party was approached by an individual who asked for money for a train fare and claimed they would reimburse the funds via Zelle. The reporting party did not receive the funds as promised, and discovered this experience was common fraud trend. 

FIRE

Officers responded to an oven fire on Harvard Ave. 

Tuesday, July 8

ASSAULT

Officers responded to an assault on Harvard St. The reporting party and suspect got into a physical altercation.

ASSAULT

Officers responded to a report of assault by two suspects on Beacon St. The suspects were arrested. 

Wednesday, July 9

SHOPLIFTING 

A report of a shoplifting incident occurred on Beacon St. The suspect was summoned to Brookline District Court. 

ASSAULT

An individual was assaulted at the intersection of Harvard and Babcock St. 

Thursday, July 10

FOUND PROPERTY

An officer reports finding a black wallet on Egmont St. 

DISTURBANCE

Officers responded to a report of noise disturbance on Commonwealth Ave. 

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

A report of malicious damage of property was reported to the Brookline Police Department. An air conditioning unit was slashed.

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Commonwealth Ave. The suspect has been summoned to the Brookline District Court. 

Friday, July 11

TRESPASSING 

Police responded to a report of trespassing on Boylston St. Nothing was reported stolen.

SHOPLIFTING

Officers received report of an individual shoplifting on Beacon St. The individual was arrested. 

PACKAGE THEFT 

Items were stolen from a package on Egmont St.

Officers received a report of a stolen package from a couple weeks prior. 

Saturday, July 12

PROPERTY DAMAGE/FORCED ENTRY

Police received report of a fire alarm on Thatcher St. and observed that the inside lock of the residence was damaged. There was nobody home at the time of the incident. 

FOUND PROPERTY 

An individual turned over a pair of keys to an officer in front of the Brookline District Court. 

Sunday, July 13

FRAUD 

A report of a fraudulent phone call on Tappan St. was reported to police. The caller, who claimed to be from a utility company, stated that the individual had not paid their bill and needed to pay a fee at a nearby store to solve the problem. The reporting party was recommended to monitor their accounts. 

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

Officers received report of suspicious activity on Kilsyth Rd. / Beacon St. The reporting party was followed for several blocks by an individual who kept asking them if they were lost. 

MOPED THEFT

An individual reported that their moped was stolen in the Amory St. / Freeman St. area. Two suspects approached the parked moped then took possession of the reporting party's moped.
