Arrests:
Occurred between 1:30 PM (1/26) and 1:40 PM (1/26) – South Street
Officers responded to a report for Indecent Assault and Battery at a local medical facility. Upon investigation the victim stated that she had been sexually assaulted by a fellow patient. The suspect was subsequently arrested and charged with indecent assault and battery.
Occurred between 5:22 PM (1/26) and 6:00 PM (1/26) – High Street / Acron Road
Officers conducted a traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign. Upon investigation officers learned that the operators' driver’s license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license 4th subsequent offense.
Occurred at 7:43 PM (1/27) – Boylston Street
Officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Upon investigation officers learned that the operator right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass was suspended. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for Operating a motor vehicle after suspension.
Robbery:
Occurred at 1:42 PM (1/26) – Harvard Street
Officers responded to a report of Robbery at a local bank. Upon investigation, officers learned that the suspect had given a written note to the teller. The teller complied with his demands and then informed police officers. Officers conducted an intense search of the area, however was unable to find the suspect. The incident is under investigation.
Operating after suspension:
Occurred at 11:30 AM (1/26) – Washington Street
While conducting an investigation involving a cab driver, police learned that his driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a citation and will be summons to Brookline District Court for Operating after suspension and violation of the Brookline Hackney Rules and Regulations.
Motor Vehicle Theft:
Occurred between 12:15 AM (1/26) and 5:10 PM (1/26) – Commonwealth Avenue
Officer responded to a call of motor vehicle theft. Upon investigation officers learned that two motor vehicles from a local auto shop had been stolen during the night. One of the two vehicles has been recovered in Cambridge, MA and a subject had been arrested in that jurisdiction.
Assault:
Occurred between 4:40 PM (1/27) and 4:45 PM (1/27) – Garrison Road
Officers responded to a report of assault and battery. Upon investigation the victims stated that a man had assaulted two neighborhood boys after the boys accidently knocked snow onto the sidewalk. The subject was not located at the time of the initial repoonse, however officers are conducting a follow up investigation.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a prohibited left turn. Upon investigation officers learned that the operators drivers license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest and charged with Operating after suspension.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for failure to stop for a red light. Upon investigation officer learned that the drivers license was suspended. The driver was subsequently arrested for failure to stop at a red light, operating a motor vehicle after suspension, and operating a motor vehicle without a registration in possession.
Occurred at 10:22 PM (1/25) – Harvard Street/ Marion Street
Officers conducted a traffic stop for an inspection sticker violation. Upon investigation officers learned that the drivers license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrests and charged with no inspection sticker, operating after suspension, and 3rd subsequent offense.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a suspended registration. The driver will be summonsed to court for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.
Motor Vehicle Theft:
Occurred between 7:56 PM (1/24) and 7:56 PM (1/25) – Babcock Street
Officers responded to a report of theft of a motor vehicle. Upon investigation the victim stated that she had allowed a friend to borrow a car but made it clear that there was a specific time she needed it back. The vehicle was never returned and a report for a stolen vehicle has been entered.
Breaking and Entering:
Occurred between 7:30 PM (1/25) and 10:00 PM (1/25) – Greenough Street
Officers responded to a report of past breaking and entering. Upon investigation officers learned that a door of the local school had been smashed in. Police believe the damage was caused with an attempt to enter the building. Police are following up on the case.
Threats:
Occurred at 8:23 AM (1/25) – Beacon Street
Officers responded to a report of threats by e-mail. Upon investigation the victim stated that she had received threatening emails due to a past online transaction. Police are following up on the case.
Possession:
Occurred at 2:10 AM (1/26) – Brookline Avenue/ Riverway
Officers conducted a traffic stop for defective break lights and a defective headlight. Upon investigation officers learned that the driver of the vehicle was in possession of Marijuana. The driver was issued a civil violation for possession of less than one ounce of Marijuana, along with a citation for defective equipment.

Officers made a traffic stop for failure to stay in lane. Upon investigation officers learned that the driver was driving with a suspended license and the vehicles inspection sticker was expired. The driver was then placed under arrests and charged with operating after suspension, failure to stay in lane, and expired inspection sticker.
Operating without a proper license:
Occurred between 6:20 PM (1/24) and 6:30 PM (1/24) – Cypress Street/ Brighton Road
Officers made a traffic stop for a marked line violation. Upon investigation officers learned that the driver was operating with out a proper license. Officers conducted a traffic stop for a driver that failed to stop at a red light. Upon investigation, officers learned that the driver of the vehicle was operating a motor vehicle with out a proper MA license. The driver was arrested for Operating without a license and a red light violation.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Upon investigation officers suspected that the driver of the vehicle was intoxicated. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the influence of Liquor.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a suspended registration. Upon investigation officers learned that the driver was operating with a revoked license. While being placed under arrest, the driver admitted to possessing a small amount of a controlled substance. The driver was then arrested for operating with a suspended registration and revoked license, and possession of a class B substance.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding. While the officer was in his cruiser writing a citation, a man approached the vehicle stating that he was a victim of a taxi cab fare evasion. The officer then approached the subject that was suspected of the taxi fare evasion, who subsequently became very loud and disorderly. The suspect was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and cab fare evasion.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for an illegal U- turn. Upon investigation officers learned that the driver was operating with a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for operating after suspension. Officers later discovered that the driver was in possession of a class B substance, and was also charged with possession of a class B substance.

Police responded to a burglary report. The victim stated that an unknown person had stolen personal items from his work place. During their investigation, police noted that there were no obvious signs of forced entry. Police are follwing up on the case.
Malicious Damage of a Vehicle
Occurred between 12:00 PM (1/15) and 10:00 AM (1/16) – City View Road
Officers responded to a call of malicious damage to a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim’s vehicle had been damaged by use of a sharp object on both sides. Police are following up on the case.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a stop sign violation. Upon investigation, officers learned that the operator’s driver’s license status was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle after suspension and issued a citation for failure to come to a complete stop.

Police conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle with no registration. During the stop the driver refused to provide the officer with a driver's license and refused identify herself. Upon investigation the officer learned that the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured. Police responded to an alarm at the Walgreen's at 99 Harvard Ave. Upon arrival police found a rear door had been opened, and recent pry marks on the front door. Police searched the building with negative results.

The Manager of the at 455 Harvard St reported to police that multiple employees had money stolen from their belongings in the locker room. An unknown male was spotted in the locker room earlier in the day.

Officers responded to a burglary of an office over night. There were multiple items stolen from the office.

Police responded to a suspicious person which was later updated to a Breaking and Entering of a vehicle. The suspect had fled and the witness could not see where the suspect fled to. Police observed a vehicle stuck in a snow bank. The operator of the vehicle was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of liquor.

Police responded to CVS for a report of a shoplifter. The store manager informed the officers that she observed a customer placing items into his coat. The male was placed under arrest for shoplifting.

Police were observing the area due to a string of recent street robberies. While police were in the area they observed suspicious activity when one of the suspects of the latest robbery fled from a near by building. The suspect had two active warrants. The suspect was arrested due to the active warrants along with three other charges of Possession of class A, Receiving stolen property, and Possession or Receiving lost or stolen credit card.

Police conducted a traffic stop for speeding. The operator was arrested for an active straight warrant. The operator also received two citations, one for speeding, and one for operating without a license.

Officer responded to a Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle. The owner of the vehicle stated that the driver’s side window had been smashed. The owner claimed no items had been stolen from the vehicle.
Occurred at 2:58 AM (1/1)- Russel Street/ Columbia Street
Police reported to the area due to sighting a large firework display. Upon arrival police came across a group of two males and two females, who witnesses stated were responsible for the fireworks. The officer had no evidence to prove it was the group and advised the group to continue to their destination. When the officer returned twenty minutes later the group was still lingering and refused to leave the area. The officer detected alcohol on the individual’s breath. One of the males attempted to run when the officer asked for identification. The male was caught and arrested with charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The other male was also arrested for disorderly conduct. The two females cooperated.

Police conducted a traffic stop due to very tinted windows and expired registration of the vehicle. The officer was then informed that the operator’s license was suspended. The suspect was then placed under arrest for operation after a suspended license and operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle/Expired.
Occurred at 10:38 PM (1/2)- Kent Square/ Kent Street
Police conducted a traffic stop due to a vehicle cutting of and almost hitting the officer. When the officer pulled the car over, the officer reported that the suspects and the car smelled strongly of marijuana. The officer found large amounts of marijuana, a scale, plastic bags, and a large amount of money within the stop. One of the suspects was set free with a citation. The other suspect was arrested with charges of Possession of Class D with intent to Distribute, Area- School Property/ Violation of Controlled Substance, and Failure to Yield to Oncoming traffic.

Officer responded to a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle report. The driver side window of the vehicle was smashed, and the interior compartments were rummaged through. At this time the owner states that there seems to be no items missing.
Occurred between 10:00 PM (1/1) and 7:00 AM (1/2)- Beacon Street
Officers responded to a larceny report at the Holiday Inn. A victim claimed a large amount of money was stolen from his wallet. Video surveillance will be reviewed at a later date.
Occurred on (1/2)- Parkvale
A number of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle occurred in the same general area of Parkvale. There were no belongings missing from the vehicles but damage was done to the vehicles.
Arrest

Police responded to Goddard Ave to find a vehicle off the road that had apparently struck a telephone pole on Goddard Ave. The male was arrested for operation under the influence of alcohol.

Police conducted a traffic stop for an illegal turn. The operator was placed under arrest for operation on a suspended license.
Occurred Between 11:13 PM (12/28) and 11:50 PM (12/28) – Boylston Street
Police conducted a traffic stop for speeding on Boylston Street. The operator was arrested for operation after suspension.
Occurred at 4:18 Am (12/29) – Davis Court
Police observed a vehicle stuck in a snow bank. The operator of the vehicle was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of liquor.
Occurred between 11:45 AM (12/30) and 11:51 AM (12/30)–Commonwealth Ave
Police responded to CVS for a report of a shoplifter. The store manager informed the officers that she observed a customer placing items into his coat. The male was placed under arrest for shoplifting.
Occurred at 6:35 PM (12/30)- Commonwealth Avenue
Police were observing the area due to a string of recent street robberies. While police were in the area they observed suspicious activity when one of the suspects of the latest robbery fled from a near by building. The suspect had two active warrants. The suspect was arrested due to the active warrants along with three other charges of Possession of class A, Receiving stolen property, and Possession or Receiving lost or stolen credit card.
Occurred between 2:52 AM (12/31) and 3:22 AM (12/31)- Boylston Street
Police conducted a traffic stop for speeding. The operator was arrested for an active straight warrant. The operator also received two citations, one for speeding, and one for operating without a license.
Occurred between 6:00 PM (12/29) and 5:12 PM (12/31)- Harvard Avenue
Officer responded to a Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle. The owner of the vehicle stated that the driver’s side window had been smashed. The owner claimed no items had been stolen from the vehicle.
Occurred at 2:58 AM (1/1)- Russel Street/ Columbia Street
Police reported to the area due to sighting a large firework display. Upon arrival police came across a group of two males and two females, who witnesses stated were responsible for the fireworks. The officer had no evidence to prove it was the group and advised the group to continue to their destination. When the officer returned twenty minutes later the group was still lingering and refused to leave the area. The officer detected alcohol on the individual’s breath. One of the males attempted to run when the officer asked for identification. The male was caught and arrested with charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The other male was also arrested for disorderly conduct. The two females cooperated.
Occurred between 9:49 PM (1/2) and 10:17 PM (1/2)- Chestnut Street
Police conducted a traffic stop due to very tinted windows and expired registration of the vehicle. The officer was then informed that the operator’s license was suspended. The suspect was then placed under arrest for operation after a suspended license and operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle/Expired.
Occurred at 10:38 PM (1/2)- Kent Square/ Kent Street
Police conducted a traffic stop due to a vehicle cutting of and almost hitting the officer. When the officer pulled the car over, the officer reported that the suspects and the car smelled strongly of marijuana. The officer found large amounts of marijuana, a scale, plastic bags, and a large amount of money within the stop. One of the suspects was set free with a citation. The other suspect was arrested with charges of Possession of Class D with intent to Distribute, Area- School Property/ Violation of Controlled Substance, and Failure to Yield to Oncoming traffic.

Officer was conducting a traffic stop due to a cracked taillight. The operator was driving on suspended license, and was arrested.

Officer’s conducted a traffic stop due to swerving of the vehicle. The suspect was arrested for Operating under the influence of alcohol.

Brookline police responded to a threat report. Two student of Brookline High school reportedly threatened the safety of other students within the school.

Officers responded for a report of an assault and battery. The victim reported to Officers that she heard a knock at the door. A male identified himself as building maintenance entered her apartment. Once in the apartment the male pushed the victim. The suspect then stole the victim’s handbag and fled the apartment.
Threats
Occurred at 8:09 AM (1/2)- Babcock Street
Officers responded to a report of a patient threatening the staff. The suspect will be summons to Brookline Court for Threats to commit a crime due to suspects past record.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for a driving violation. Upon running a query of the driver’s information, officers discovered that her right to operate a vehicle had expired and her registration was revoked. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating without a license and for operating with a revoked registration.

Police responded to a report of a subject with a warrant fleeing from the local courthouse. Officers arrived on scene and canvassed the area for the subject. After a brief search, officers located the subject and placed him under arrest for the warrant.
Assault
Occurred 2:52 AM (12/22) – Naples Rd.
Police responded to a report of a fight in progress. Officers met with the victim who stated that when he got home, he found an unknown male subject sitting on the front steps of his home and asked him to get off his property. Upon doing so, the subject assaulted him and fled the area. Police conducted a canvass of the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. Police are following up on the case.

Police responded to a report of a past road rage incident. Upon arrival, officers met with the reporting party who stated that while she was walking, she attempted to cross the street when a motor vehicle almost struck her. At this time, the operator of the vehicle began to yell at her and assaulted her. Officers spoke with the other party involved who claimed that it was the female subject who became aggressive and assaulted him. Police are requesting both parties be summonsed into Brookline District Court for assault and battery.

Police responded to a report of a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that she had just discovered graffiti on a door of her apartment building. The graffiti was done in light blue spray paint and read “The boys. Winter of 2010”. Police are following up on the case.

Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the caller who stated that while she was in her apartment she heard glass break in her building. Officers observed damage to an apartment door and after a brief investigation determined that the suspect did not try to gain entry into an apartment. Police filed a report for the malicious damage.

While conducting traffic enforcement, officers observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass had been suspended. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for operating after suspension.
Occurred 8:59 PM (12/17) – Eliot St. / Boylston St.
Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the parties involved and noticed one of the operators appeared to be intoxicated. Officers detected a strong odor of alcohol on the female operator and observed her to have slurred speech, glassy, bloodshot eyes, and to be unsteady on her feet. Based on officer’s observations of the subject’s intoxicated appearance, she was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Police received information that fee based sexual activity was occurring at a local residence and subsequently initiated an investigation. As a result of the investigation, officers placed one female under arrest for offering sexual activity for a fee and one male subject under arrest for deriving support from prostitution. The investigation is still ongoing.

While on patrol, police observed a male subject operating a vehicle erratically. Officers attempted to execute a motor vehicle stop. After officers attempt to stop the vehicle for several minutes, the operator was stopped and police observed him to have glassy, bloodshot eyes with an odor of alcohol emanating from his vehicle. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for failing to stop for officers, resisting arrest, operating under the influence of alcohol, assault and battery, and for threats to commit a crime.

Upon approaching the operator, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and observed him to have slurred speech, glassy eyes, and unsteady on his feet. He informed police that the previous night, he had a minor altercation with a white male who had parked in his assigned parking spot and has not had any problems with anyone else. Police are following up on the case.

Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he was operating with a suspended driver’s license and had two active arrest warrants. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for the warrants and for operating after suspension.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifting that had just occurred at a local grocery store. While en route to the store, police canvassed the area for the suspects and were able to locate one of the males. Officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that two males had come into the store, placed merchandise in a duffel bag and left the store without paying. Police subsequently the male suspect under arrest for shoplifting. Police are conducting a follow-up investigation to locate the second suspect who is described as a black male, in his 30’s, approximately 5’8 with a thin build and last seen wearing a black coat.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who stated that a package she was expecting had been stolen from the front foyer of her building. The package taken is a set of bamboo window blinds. Police are following up on the case.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local gym. The victim stated that while he was working out, he left his personal belongings in an unlocked locker. When he returned, he discovered cash from inside his wallet missing. Police are reviewing surveillance footage and are following up on the case.

Occurred 11:54 AM (12/10) – Harvard St. / Pierce St.
Police executed a motor vehicle stop for a red light violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a vehicle had been suspended. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension and the driving violation.
Occurred 2:41 AM (12/12) – Commonwealth Ave.
While on patrol, officers observed a known subject acting suspiciously near several apartment basement windows. Police initiated a field investigation and found burglarious tools in the subject’s possession and discovered two windows that he had been standing near with freshly cut screens. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for attempted breaking and entering, possession of burglarious tools, and disorderly conduct.
Occurred 6:49 AM (12/12) – Newton St.
While off duty, an officer observed a female operator lose control of her vehicle and crash into a tree. The off duty officer immediately began first aid to the driver. Paramedics were notified and while awaiting their arrival, the operator opened her trunk. At this time, the officer viewed a handgun in the trunk in plain view. Once paramedics cleared her for injuries, she was placed under arrest. The operator is being charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and unlawful possession of ammunition.

While on duty, a detective observed what he believed to be a drug transaction between two parties in a vehicle and executed a motor vehicle stop. Upon doing so, officers detected an odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle and observed the operator to have bloodshot, glassy eyes. Officers subsequently discovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and evidence of drug distribution. He was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of drugs and possession of Class D with the intent to distribute.

Police responded to a report of a past robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was walking home the previous night a male exited a dark colored sedan, ran towards her and snatched her purse. The victim’s purse contained her driver’s license, school ID, and bank card. Police are following up on the case.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a building. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that a package she was expecting containing clothes had been stolen from the front stoop of her residence. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

While on patrol, officers observed a subject running down the street with a strand of Christmas lights and drop them as soon as he saw officers. Police were able to stop the subject who stated that he took the lights from the front of a building nearby. Police filed a report and are charging the subject with larceny.

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated party attempting to gain access into a local residence by damaging the front door. Upon arrival, officers observed the front door to be shattered and spoke with the subject. The subject stated that he could not find his apartment keys and was only trying to get into his apartment. Police filed a report and are summonsing the subject into Brookline District Court for Malicious Damage of Property.
Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that when he returned to his vehicle during the morning hours, he discovered his passenger side window smashed and his jack hammer missing. Police were provided with several leads and are following up on the case.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local building. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that a large sum of cash had been stolen from her apartment. Police executed a motor vehicle stop for multiple driving violations. Upon approaching the driver, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol beverage emanating from the vehicle and observed the operator to have glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Based on officer’s observations and the operator’s intoxicated appearance, he was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Upon arrival, officers informed the operator that the vehicle should not be driven and requested to see his driver’s license. The operator informed police that he did not have a driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle and he was subsequently placed under arrest for being not duly licensed and having faulty equipment.

While conducting speed enforcement, police observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. As a result of the stop, officers determined the operator to be intoxicated and placed her under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol and for failing to stop for a police officer.

Upon arrival, officers checked on the well being of the operator and observed him to be unsteady on his feet and to have slurred speech.
