October 7th 2008 Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 4:00PM (10/07) and 5:00PM (10/07) – 209 Harvard St

Victim reports that he had locked his bicycle to a parking meter on Harvard Street. Upon returning to retrieve his bicycle he observed that both his bicycle and lock were missing. The bicycle is described as a Bridgestone 21 speed men’s bike valued at $500.

  • Occurred at 9:55AM (10/07) – 1322 Beacon St (CVS)

Officers were dispatched to a report of a shoplifting that had just occurred. Officers on patrol stopped three individuals matching the description of suspects who had taken large amounts of packaged candy from a CVS. Officers recovered the stolen material and placed the suspects under arrest. Allegedly this is the second time the suspects have shoplifted from this location.

O.U.I.L

  • Occurred between 8:07PM (10/07) and 10:40PM (10/07) – Brookline Ave/ Aspinwall

Officers were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival police met with one of the drivers who had struck a parked vehicle before crossing over the double yellow lines and engaging in a head on collision with another vehicle. Further investigation revealed that there were several bottles of alcohol containers found in the driver’s vehicle. The driver will be summoned to court for operating under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger, and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

October 7th Police Reports

Assault

  • Occurred between 12:19AM and 12:41AM (10/07) - 345 Harvard Street

Two victims report being approached by a vehicle while sitting at the benches at Devotion School. The occupants of the vehicle got out and told the victims they were the police, when the victims did not believe their story the suspects proceeded to punch and kick the victims, then fled in their vehicle. This case is still under investigation.

Loud Party

  • Occurred at 12:31AM (10/07)- 61 Thatcher Street

Police responded to a call of a loud party and upon entering the apartment witnessed underage drinking, the hosts were identified as Boston University Students and both residents will be summonsed to court for, Furnishing Alcoholic Beverages to a Person under 21, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

  • Occurred at 11:13PM (10/06)- 735 Washington Street

Police responded to a call of a loud party and upon arriving noticed several underage youths outside the residence drinking alcohol. Upon entering the dwelling police saw approximately 100 youths exit out of the back of the residence, inside the residence police found an abundance of alcohol and the hostess of the party will be summonsed to court for Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and Keeper of a Disorderly House

  • Occurred between 11:30PM (10/06) and 1:15AM (10/07)- 76 Denny Road

Police responded to a call of underage drinking and when police arrived they were met by an underage female hostess, police determined that there was alcohol in the residence and the hostess of the party will be summonsed to court for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Burglary

  • Occurred at 4PM (10/06) and 3:02PM (10/07)- 90 Cypress Street

Victim reported that sometime overnight a suspect had gained entry into his apartment and stole his Laptop computer, the value of the computer is unknown and this case is still under investigation.
