THEFT

Officers responded to a store on Beacon Street for a report of theft. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to Harvard Street for a shoplifting incident.

THEFT

Officers received a report of theft at the front desk of the Brookline Police Department. The reporting party stated they lost their wallet and when they returned to get it, it was missing. 

FRAUD

Officers received a report of fraud, where the reporting party received texts claiming to be the RMV and then their bank. 

Tuesday, April 7

FRAUD

Officers responded to multiple reports of fraud. The reporting parties stated they received emails about changes to their airline accounts and that airline miles were converted to various gift cards without their knowledge. 

Wednesday, April 8

CAR BREAK

Officers responded to a report of a past breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle that occurred on York Terrace. On April 6, the reporting party noticed the car appeared to be broken into, and items were missing. 

ANIMAL BITE

Officers responded to a report of a dog bite that broke skin at the intersection of Park Street and Washington Street.

BIKE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of a bicycle theft from the basement of a resident on Browne Street.

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers responded to a report of found property. The reporting party found a bicycle on Walnut Street.

PACKAGE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of a package theft from a residence on Harvard Street.

Friday, April 10

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to Commonwealth Avenue regarding a shoplifting incident.

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Commonwealth Avenue. The two suspects were identified and arrested. 

Saturday, April 11

GRAFFITI

Officers responded to a report of graffiti on the stairway leading to a pedestrian tunnel in Waldstein Park. 

Sunday, April 12

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud where the reporting party stated that they got a email from their bank about a new account that they did not open. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a store on Harvard Street regarding a shoplifting event.

Officers responded to a report of past shoplifting at a store on Harvard Street. 

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers received found property at the front desk of the Brookline Police Department. The property is an iPhone found in the area of Tappan Street and Blake Road on April 3rd.

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers received a found wallet at the front desk of the Brookline Police Department. It is at the station for safekeeping.
