Monday, April 13

BAT EXPOSURE

Officers responded to a bat complaint at a residence on Fuller Street, where the bat came through the chimney. 

Tuesday, April 14

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers received a item of found property that is being kept at the Brookline Police Department for safe keeping. The item is a pair of brown and black sunglasses. 

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

Officers received a report of motor vehicle theft from a parking lot after the reporting party locked it for the night. 

LARCENY

Officers responded to a report of larceny from a house on Abbottsford Road. The reporting party stated they left for a trip and on their return, they found their jewelry missing. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers received a shoplifting report on Commonwealth Avenue. The suspect was identified and arrested. 

Wednesday, April 15

WALLET THEFT

Officers responded to a report of a stolen drivers license. The reporting party was notified that their wallet was turned in to the Brookline Village Library but noticed their drivers license was missing and a fraudulent charge was made using their debit card. 

Thursday, April 16

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

Officers responded to a report malicious and willful damage to a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated that their car was keyed while parked in a parking garage. 

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers came upon a shoulder bag that was left outside Tiny World Daycare overnight. The property is now at the Brookline Police Department for safekeeping.

GRAFFITI

Officers responded to a report of graffiti that occurred on March 14th. 

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers received found property, a set of keys found on Amory Street, that is now at the Brookline Police Department for safekeeping.

Friday, April 17

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

Officers responded to a scene where two USPS mailboxes were severely damaged and off their hinges. It was determined to be the result of a motor vehicle crashing into the mailboxes and leaving the scene. 

GRAFFITI

Officers responded to a report of graffiti located in an alleyway on Beacon Street. 

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of internet fraud where the reporting party had been defrauded through Venmo. 

Saturday, April 18

CAR BREAK

Officers responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle in the early morning. The reporting party provided camera footage of the break in, where the suspect stole items from the car. 

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers responded to a report of found property, where the reporting party found easter eggs containing items at Dean Park. The property is at the Brookline Police Station for safekeeping.

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud where a suspect accessed the reporting parties' American Airlines AAdvantage account and stole miles to transfer into gift cards. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of past shoplifting from a Store on Harvard Street.

Sunday, April 19

FIRE

Officers responded to a fire from an apartment building on Village Way.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of motor vehicle theft from a parking lot on Juniper Street. The reporting party stated that their car was missing when they returned to it. 

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

Officers responded to a report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle where the suspect threw twigs at a car causing scratches.
