Monday, February 23

SCAM

Officers received a report of fraud in which the reporting party was scammed and told to send money through gift cards. 

Wednesday, February 25

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers at the front desk of the Brookline Police Department received found property of a cell phone in a snowbank in front of Brookline Health Department on February 24th, 4:30pm. 

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers came across found property of a black pouch with personal items at the intersection of Cypress St and Brington Rd. The item is at the Brookline Police Department for safe keeping.

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud. The reporting party stated that they received multiple phone calls from an individual claiming to be from their bank, asking for money in order to clear fraudulent activity. 

CAR BREAK

Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated that the night of February 22nd, they locked their car but the morning of February 25th, items were both stolen and moved around. 

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report of fraud, where the reporting party misplaced their credit car which a suspect stole and used. 

Thursday, February 26

TRESPASSING

Officers responded to a report of past package theft that occurred in the afternoon of February 16th.

CHECK FRAUD

Officers responded to a report at Brookline Police Department concerning check fraud. The reporting party stated that when trying to mail a check, they discovered the check to be washed.  

ANIMAL BITE

Officers responded to a report of an animal bite. The reporting party had been walking with their dog when another dog attacked, which resulted in the dog biting both the reporting party and their dog. 

Friday, February 27

FRAUD

Officers received a report of fraud, where the reporting party received a fraudulent check which had been apart of a bigger scam. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Harvard Street. The suspect has been arrested.

Saturday, February 28

GRAFFITI

Officers during a park and walk observed graffiti on a pedestrian tunnel near Waldstein Park. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a call of shoplifting at a store on Commonwealth Avenue. 

Sunday, March 1

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

Officers responded to a report of motor vehicle theft, and an attempted theft on the night of the 28th into the early morning of March 1st.
