Monday, February 2

LARCENY

Officers responded to a report of a stolen snow blower. The reporting party had dropped off a snow plow before the storm, but it was gone when they returned. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a call of shoplifting at a store on Harvard Street where three suspects entered and stole merchandise. 

Tuesday, February 3

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a call of shoplifting on Harvard Street. The suspect attempted to steal clothing but was arrested. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a call of shoplifting on Harvard Street where four suspects stole various merchandise before fleeing. 

Wednesday, February 4

PACKAGE THEFT

Officers at the front desk of the Brookline Police Department received a report of a stolen package sometime during the late afternoon to the evening of February 3rd.

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a call wanting to report a past shoplifting, in which the suspect stole two jackets from a store on Harvard Street. 

FRAUD

Officers at the the front desk of Brookline Police Department received a report of fraud. The reporting party stated that their identity had been stolen and used to create an Uber account.

SHOPLIFTING

Officers received a call reporting a event of shoplifting on Harvard Street where the suspect stole multiple items, some of which were recovered.   

BURGLARY

Officers responded to a call reporting a past burglary. The reporting party stated they did not observe any signs of forced entry but items were missing from the residence. 

Thursday, February 5

FRAUD    

Officers responded to a call reporting fraud involving bitcoin over an extended period of time. 

LARCENY

Officers responded to a report of larceny. The reporting party stated that their bag was stolen, and after being able to retrieve the bag, their wallet was taken as well.  

Friday, February 6

FRAUD

Officers responded to a report at the front desk of the Brookline Police Department of fraud. The reporting party stated it was an insurance scam.  

FRAUD

Officers received a report of fraud from the front desk of the Brookline Police Department, where the reporting party was called by an unknown number that claimed to be their bank. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a call of shoplifting from a store on Harvard Street. The suspect stole various items and walked out. 

LARCENY

Officers responded to a report of larceny from residential building. The reporting party stated that they believed multiple personal items were stolen from their house. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Harvard Street where a suspect took an unknown amount of unidentified items. 

Saturday, February 7

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers responded to a report of found property. A set of keys were found on Friday, February 6th, around 3:20pm. 

Sunday, February 8

LOST PROPERTY

Officers responded to a report of a lost passport. The reporting party stated that around 9:00pm to 9:30pm on Thursday, February 6th, they had lost track of their passport somewhere on Beacon Street. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting from a liquor store on Harvard Street, where two suspects stole multiple bottles of alcohol. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting of a pair of sunglasses from a store on Harvard Street. 

SHOPLIFTING

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Harvard Street. The suspect appeared to take various unidentified items from the store.
