Police reports February 7th – February 17th 2015
February 7th
An officer observed a vehicle making an illegal left turn that is posted on Beacon Street and Harvard Street. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating a vehicle with a revoked license and was placed under arrest.

An officer noticed a vehicle traveling above the speed limit. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver operating the vehicle was operating a vehicle with a revoked license and was placed under arrest.

February 8th
An officer noticed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker traveling along Harvard Street. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for the driver’s license and registration.  The driver was operating a vehicle with a revoked license. Based on the evidence at the scene, the driver was also in possessed of narcotics. The subject was placed under arrest.

February 11th
An officer conducted a random query on a vehicle traveling on Washington Street. The officer conducted a traffic stop and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a warrant and was placed under arrest.

February 12th
Officers received a call from a Clark Road resident about two males, looking through parked cars. The resident told officers the direction suspects ran in. Officers canvased the area and found two suspects fitting the suspects description and proceeded to question them. The witness identified the suspects that broke into the cars. The suspects were then placed under arrest.

An officer was conducting a random query on a vehicle on Mountfort Street. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating a vehicle with a revoked license and was placed under arrest.

February 13th
Police officers responded to a report of shoplifting at a local business. The store manager observed the subject placing items in their pocket. The police arrived and placed the subject under arrest. This matter is still under investigation.

February 16th
An officer was observing a vehicle traveling on Harvard Street with snow on the roof of the vehicle. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for a driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating a vehicle with a revoked license and was placed under arrest.

February 17th

An officer was observing a vehicle traveling along Harvard Street making an unsafe lane change. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle with without a valid license and was placed under arrest.

1/26/15-2/2/15

Police reports January 26th to February 2nd 2015

January 26th
Two officers were dispatched to a local business. The suspect entered the store and one of the managers observed the suspect ripping the security tags off the items.  This was recorded on security surveillance system inside the store. The suspect was escorted into the office and was placed under arrest. This matter is still under investigation.  

January 28th
An officer noticed a vehicle traveling above the speed limit. The officer confirmed the vehicle was traveling above the speed limit with a radar. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver operating the vehicle was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. 

January 30th
An officer, fire department and ambulance responded to a report of a vehicle embedded into a snow bank on Summit Ave. An EMT observed the driver to be slumped over the wheel. The officer asked the driver some questions. Based on the evidence at the scene, the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor and was placed under arrest.

January 31st
An officer observed a vehicle going through an intersection against a red signal on Harvard Street. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating a vehicle with a suspended license.  

Officers noticed a subject, holding a plastic bag standing in front of a building. As police slowed to look at the suspect, the suspect ran away. Officers exited their vehicle and asked if they could ask some questions. The Suspect continued to run away and when ordered to stop, continued to run away. Officers pursued the Suspect on foot. The Suspect was eventually caught.  The Suspect had seven outstanding warrants and was placed under arrest.

February 2nd
Two officers were conducting a random query on a passing vehicle on Beacon Street. The owner of the vehicle had a revoked license. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer confirmed the driver was the owner of the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle with a revoked license.

Police officers responded to a report of a shoplifter at a local business on Beacon St. The subject placed items in a bag and fled. The store manager described the subject to the officers. The officers identified the suspect walking on the street. The subject was placed under arrest. This matter is still under investigation.

1/14/15-1/25/15

Police reports January 14 to January 25, 2015
January 14th
Two officers were monitoring traffic on Harvard Street. They observed a vehicle with a missing passenger side mirror. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating a vehicle with a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

January 15th
 An officer was doing a random query on a vehicle along River Road and noticed a vehicle had an expired inspection sticker. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a default warrant and was placed under arrest.

January 16th
A suspect stole some items at a business on Beacon Street. The suspect took some products off a shelf and tried to return it without a receipt. The suspect then went back to the aisle and proceeded to put these items in their coat and left the store. The suspect went to another store and picked some items off shelf and tried to return them. Police officers arrived at the scene and the suspect matched the characteristics from what the store manager described. The suspect was placed under arrest. This matter is still under investigation.

January 17th
Officers noticed a car without any tail lights and headlights on. When stopped the driver, the driver stated that the car was not his and he did not have a license. While securing the driver, the officer noticed the passenger, bending forward as if to retrieve something. Officers on scene assisted to secure both passengers and a person sitting in the back. The officer proceeded to search the car and discovered tools used in the injection of Heroin, along with white power. Both the driver and passenger had warrants for their arrest. All three were arrested and charged with Possession of a Class A (Heroin).

January 21st
An officer was on patrol and noticed a vehicle on Aspinwall Avenue parked in a no parking zone with the headlights on and running. The officer approached the vehicle and noticed the driver slumped over the steering wheel. The officer knocked on the driver’s side of the window to get the operator’s attention but the results were negative. The officer then opened the driver’s side door and detected a strong odor of intoxicating liquor from the interior of the vehicle especially from the driver operating the vehicle. The officer made several attempts to get a response from the driver. The driver finally responded to the officer. Based on the information at the scene, the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest.

Two officers responded to a local business reporting a larceny. When the officers arrived they spoke with the store manager and were shown the footage of the incident that was recorded. They spoke to the suspect that was working at the business. Based on the information at the scene, the suspect was placed under arrest for larceny. This matter is still under investigation.

An officer was monitoring traffic along Boylston Street when a vehicle traveled through a red light. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest for operating under revocation.

January 22nd
An on officer was monitoring traffic on Boylston Street and noticed a vehicle traveling through a red light. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for a driver’s license and registration. The driver operating the vehicle was not duly licensed and was placed under arrest.

An officer was monitoring traffic on Warren Street and noticed a vehicle making a U-turn. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating a vehicle with s suspended registration and was placed under arrest.

January 24th
An officer was monitoring traffic on High Street and noticed a vehicle with an invalid inspection sticker. The officer pulled over the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating a vehicle after suspension and was placed under arrest.  

January 25th

Two officers responded to the reporting of a suspected shop lifter at a local business. The manager confronted the suspect of attempting to steal the items by placing it in his jacket. The manager provided a receipt of the items that were stolen to the officer.  The suspect became argumentative and started yelling at the officer. The suspect was placed under arrest. This matter is still under investigation.

Police Reports January 9th to January 13, 2015
January 9th
Two officers were monitoring traffic on Chestnut Street when they observed a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. Based on the information obtained at the scene, cocaine and marijuana were discovered in the vehicle. The driver and the passengers in the vehicle were placed under arrest for possession with the intent to distribute.

January 10th
An officer observed a vehicle on Harvard Street with an invalid inspection sticker. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

January 11
Two officers conducted a random query on a passing vehicle along Beacon Street. The owner of the vehicle was operating under a suspended license and was placed under arrest.
An officer responded to a report of a vehicle being parked in the middle of the road. Based on the information at the scene, the driver was operating the motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest.

An officer was monitoring traffic on West Roxbury Parkway and noticed a car speeding. The vehicle was pulled over to a stop. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle under a suspended license and was placed on arrest.

January 12
An officer was monitoring traffic in the area of Hammond Pond Parkway when a vehicle failed to slow for the rotary. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver of the vehicle was operating with an invalid license and was placed under arrest.

January 13
An officer was monitoring traffic on Boylston Street when a vehicle was speeding. The officer asked for a driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle after a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

Police Reports January 7th to January 8th 2015

January 7th two officers were monitoring traffic on Harvard Street and noticed a vehicle with an invalid inspection sticker. The officer requested to see a driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle with a permit and not a duly licensed passenger and was placed under arrest.

An officer was observing a vehicle that made an illegal U-turn. The officer requested to see a driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle with an expired license and was placed under arrest.   

January 8th two officers were monitoring traffic on Cypress Street and noticed a vehicle turning without stopping. The driver was asked for their license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

An officer was monitoring traffic on Washington Street and noticed a vehicle turning at an intersection that has a sign posted “No Turn on Red”. The officer requested to see a driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

1/1/2015-1/6/2015

Police Reports from January 1st to January 6th, 2015 

On January 1st a local business in Coolidge Corner reported malicious damage to its rear door. Unknown if this was an attempt to gain entry.

On January 2nd an officer was monitoring traffic on Boylston Street and observed a defective headlight on a vehicle. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The person who was operating the vehicle had a suspended license and was placed under arrest for operating after a suspension.

Police responded to an unarmed robbery to a local business on Beacon Street. The suspect threatened the store clerk, stole some items and ran off. Police found the suspect who matched the description. An arrest was made. This matter is still under investigation.

Two police officers attempted to pull over a vehicle which failed to stop for a red light on Commonwealth Avenue. The driver stopped the vehicle on Amory Street, as the officers exited their vehicle, the driver drove away at an accelerating speed. The police officers then pulled over and approached the vehicle a second time and found that the driver had possession of drugs in the vehicle. The driver was also operating a vehicle with a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

On January 5th an officer was conducting a random query on a passing vehicle along Harvard Street. The driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and a revoked registration and was placed under arrest.  

On January 6th an officer was conducting a random query on a passing vehicle on Commonwealth Avenue. The driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

12/26/2014-12/28/2014

Police Reports December 26 through December 28, 2014

On December 26, an individual came into the station to report a stolen package. The package was delivered on December 23 to an address on Vernon St, but the individual could not locate it.

On December 26, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a report of a shoplifter. The subject took numerous items of clothing from the business and left the store. An employee then called the police, resulting in an ongoing investigation of the subject. The matter is currently under investigation.

On December 27, an officer responded to Euston St for a report of a stolen package. The individual stated several packages were stolen.

On December 27, an officer observed a vehicle that did not have a registration plate in the front of the vehicle along Harvard St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a suspended license and was placed under arrest for operating after the suspension.

On December 28, an officer was responded to a report of an unsafe operation of a vehicle along Lee St. The officer responded to the location, observed the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was pulled over. Based on information obtained at the scene, the subject was arrested for operating under the influence, possession of drugs, and unsafe operation.


On December 28, an officer monitoring traffic at the intersection of Channing Rd and Chestnut Ave observed a vehicle with an expired rejection sticker. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver was not duly licensed and placed under arrest.

Police Reports December 24, 2014 and December 25, 2014

On December 24, an officer responded to Tappan St for a breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The individual stated that someone entered their cars and took cash. Please remember to lock your car doors.

 On December 25, an officer responded to Linden St for a report of a package theft. The individual stated that the package was delivered the day prior but they could not locate it.


On December 25, an office responded to Hall Rd for a report of a package theft. The individual stated that the package was delivered the day prior but she could not locate it. Please consider having packages picked up or signed for.

Police Reports December 22, 2014

On December 22, officers conducted a random query on a passing vehicle along Harvard St. The owner of the vehicle had a suspended license. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver was placed under arrest for operating after a suspension.

On December 22, officers responded to Beacon St for a report of stolen packages. The individual stated that the packages were delivered earlier that month but she has not located them.

On December 22, an individual came into the station to report that several packages were taken from her address on School St. One package was stolen in the beginning of December and the second one was taken on December 21.

On December 22, an officer responded to a breaking and entering of a vehicle along Naples Rd. The individual stated that the vehicle was parked overnight and someone had entered the vehicle. The door was left slightly ajar. No items were missing. Please remember to lock your car doors.


On December 22, an officer observed a vehicle along Harvard St with an expired registration. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended, resulting in the driver’s arrest.

Police Reports December 19 through December 21, 2014

On December 19, an officer responded to Ivy St for a report of a stolen package. The individual stated that the package was listed as delivered on December 19. Upon her arrival, the package was ripped open and the items were missing. Other packages in the vestibule were opened. The matter is under investigation.

On December 20, an individual came into the station to report a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was last seen parked along Beacon St. The matter is under investigation.

On December 20, an individual came into the station to report a stolen package. The individual stated that they found the box but the items were missing.


On December 21, an individual came into the station to report a stolen cellphone. The individual’s phone was taken from her purse when it was left unattended. The matter is under investigation.

Police Reports December 18, 2014

On December 18, officers responded to a business along Beacon St for a report of a shoplifting. As the subject was leaving the store with unpaid items, an employee asked the subject to leave the items behind. Officers located the subject along Harvard St. The subject was placed under arrest.


On December 18, an officer observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker driving along Harvard St. The officer conducted a traffic stop and asked the driver for his license and registration. The driver had a warrant and was placed under arrest.

On December 17, an officer observed a vehicle straddling lanes along Washington St. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On December 17, an officer responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny along Euston St. The individual stated that construction tools were missing from the residence. The matter is under investigation.

On December 16, an officer observed a vehicle speeding along Washington St. The vehicle also veered over the center lines. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended, resulting in the driver’s arrest.

On December 16, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Chestnut Hill Ave observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On December 16, an officer responded to Washington St for a report of a package theft that occurred on December 15. The individual was expecting a package on the 15th but could not locate it. The matter is under investigation.

On December 16, an officer responded to a business along Beacon St for two subjects suspected of shoplifting. Upon the officers’ arrival, the two subjects were currently in the business. An employee stated that one subject took an item off the display and put it into her pocked without paying for them. One subject was placed under arrest.

On December 16, officers responded to a business along Beacon St for a report of two disruptive parties. The subjects were also suspected of shoplifting at another business. The two subjects left the store but were later located. Officers approached the subjects and asked them to identify themselves. Both subjects were placed under arrest.  


On December 16, an officer was approached by an employee of a business located on Beacon St. The employee stated that someone shoplifted. The subject took several items without paying for them and was placed under arrest.

Police Reports December 15, 2014

On December 15, an officer observed a passing vehicle with an expired inspection sticker on Washington St. The officer conducted a traffic stop and asked for their driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended, resulting in her arrest.

Police Reports December 12, 2014 through December 14, 2014

On December 12, an officer conducting traffic enforcement at Harvard St and Sewall Ave stopped a vehicle that was driving at a high rate of speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop and asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

On December 12, an officer conducting a random query at Harvard St and Beacon St determined that the owner of a passing vehicle had a warrant for their arrest. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver was the registered owner of the vehicle and was placed under arrest.

On December 12, two individuals reported that two packages were missing from their building. The packages were believed to be taken during the day. Please consider having your packages signed for or picked up.

On December 13, an individual came into the police department to report a missing package along Gorham Ave. The individual was expecting two packages to be delivered on December 9 but she could not locate them. Please consider having your packages signed for or picked up.

On December 13, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a report of shoplifting. The suspect was observed putting items into his jacket. The suspect fled the store after being approached. A foot pursuit ensued resulting in the suspect’s arrest.

On December 13, officers responded to Cottage St for a report of suspicious activity. On arrival, they spoke with the subject who was pulling out of a driveway. Based on information obtained at the scene, it was determined that the subject was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The subject was placed under arrest.

On December 13, officers responded to Park St for a report of a larceny. The subject had personal items stolen from her while at a business on Harvard St. The matter is under investigation.

On December 13, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Boylston St observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was not duly licensed and was placed under arrest.


On December 13, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Beacon St observed a vehicle with a non functioning brake light. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a warrant and was placed under arrest.

On December 11, an individual came into the police station to report a stolen license plate. The vehicle was parked along Aspinwall Ave. The plate went missing some time during the day.

Police Reports December 10, 2014

On December 10, an officer responded to a report for a breaking and entering of a residence along Englewood. The residence was broken into sometime during the day. Several items were taken from the apartment. It is believed another apartment was attempted to be broken into at the same location. The matter is under investigation.


On December 10, an officer conducted a traffic stop along Harvard St. The officer asked the driver for his licenses which he did not have. The driver’s license was revoked and the driver was placed under arrest for operating after the revocation.

Police Reports December 9, 2014

On December 9, an officer responded to Winchester St for a report of fraud. The individual received several pieces of mail requesting her to send money to enter into a drawing. Please be aware that this is a scam.

On December 9, an officer responded to Francis St for a report of package theft. The delivery date was December 8, but the individual could not locate the package. Please have your packages picked up or signed for.

Arrest made for B&E

An arrest was made last night in the Longwood Ave area for an attempted breaking and entering of a residence. The subject attempted to open an apartment door, but the door was locked. The resident was home, heard the noise and called the police. The subject left the residence and walked to the courtyard where vehicles were parked. The subject entered an unlocked vehicle, looked through it and took an item. The subject then left the vehicle and continued walking down Longwood Ave. As officers approached the subject, he threw an item from his bag that appeared to be a package. On arrival, officers approached the subject who had a package that was believed to be stolen.  An on scene investigation lead to the subject being charged with the following: attempted breaking and entering at night time, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, larceny, and receiving stolen property.

Over the past weekend, there were four car break-ins reported. All of these were in the same neighborhood as above.  As a result of last night’s investigation, it is believed that this subject is responsible for these car breaks. The break-ins occurred during the night Friday or Saturday into Sunday morning along Francis St, Linden St and Perry St. All vehicles were unlocked. With the increase of break-ins, we would like to remind residence to lock your car doors and make sure no valuables are visible.

Police Reports December 8, 2014

On December 8, officers responded to Francis St for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Cash was taken from the motor vehicle. The individual believes they left the door unlocked. Please remember to lock your car doors.


On December 8, officers responded to an attempted breaking and entering of a residence. The subject attempted to gain entrance to the individual’s apartment. The door was locked and the subject could not open it. The subject then went outside and entered a vehicle and began looking through it. Upon arrival, officers located the subject and placed him under arrest. Stolen property was discovered on the subject.
