On October 2, an officer responded to Cypress St for a report of a stolen package. The individual stated that his package was taken sometime on October 1. The contents were taken from the package and the box was left behind.

Police Reports October 1, 2014


On October 1, an officer responded to Tappan St for a report of a stolen package. The individual stated that the contents from the package were missing. The package was dropped off in the hall. Please beware that this is a common theft. Please consider having the package signed for or picking it up at the post office.

9/30/2014

Police Reports September 30, 2014

On September 30, an officer conducted a random query of a passing vehicle along Boylston St. This determined that the registered owner had a suspended license and the vehicle was not inspected. The vehicle was stopped and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was arrested for operating after a suspension.


On September 30, officers responded to a business along Harvard St for a report of shoplifting. The suspect had taken items from the business. The suspect was placed under arrest for shoplifting. Items commonly used as burglarious tools were also found on the suspect.

Police Reports September 29, 2014

On September 29, an officer observed vehicle drive through a red light at the intersection of Boylston and High St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On September 29, an officer was dispatched to a business on Beacon St for a report of a past shoplifting incident. Several items were taken from the store the day before. The matter is under investigation.

On September 29, an officer responded to Newell Rd for a report of a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle. The individual reports that his wallet was missing from his vehicle that he parked on the street for a few hours. Nothing else was missing from the vehicle. The doors were left unlocked.


On September 29, an officer responded to Tappan St for a report of a past larceny. The individual stated several items were taken from her home sometime that morning. The matter is under investigation.

Police Reports September 26, 2014 through September 28, 2014

On September 26, an officer responded to a report of a stolen bicycle along Beacon St. The bicycle was secured to a rack with a lock. The individual noticed his bicycle was missing a few hours later. It appeared that the lock was cut.

On September 27, an individual came into the police department to report a stolen bicycle along Auburn St. The individual locked the bicycle to the rear of the residence on September 26. The individual noticed it missing on September 27.


On September 27, an officer observed a vehicle with a failed inspection sticker along Harvard St. The vehicle was pulled over. The driver had a revoked license and was placed under arrest for operating after the revocation.

Police Reports September 23, 2014

On September 23, an officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed along Harvard St. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver provided his license and registration. The driver had a warrant for his arrest and he was placed under arrest.

On September 23, an officer observed a vehicle drive through a red light along the intersection of Washington St and Brookline Ave. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver provided his license and registration. The license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On September 23, officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red light at the intersection of Washington St and Boylston St. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver provided his license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On September 23, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Beacon St observed a vehicle pass with a blurred registration sticker. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked the driver for her license and registration. The driver did not have either and it was determined that her license was suspended and inspection expired. The driver was placed under arrest for operating with a suspended license.


On September 23, an officer responded to Beacon St for a past larceny of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was stolen sometime the evening before. The bicycle was locked on the railing on the outside of the building.

Police Reports September 22, 2014

On September 22, officers responded to a report of a shoplifting in progress at a business of Harvard St. The subject fled the store when approached by employees and ran into another business. Officers stopped the subject and placed him under arrest for the shoplifting incident.


On September 22, an officer conducted a random query of a passing vehicle along Washington St. The query informed the officer that the vehicle had a failed inspection sticker since July. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver provided her license and registration. The driver had a warrant for her arrest and was placed under arrest.

9/21/2014

Police Reports September 19 through September 21, 2014

On September 19, an officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left hand turn onto Harvard St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and he was placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

On September 20, an officer responded to Irving St for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was missing from the individual’s driveway after it was parked overnight. The vehicle was located a few hours later in Roxbury.

On September 21, an individual came into the police station to report that her son’s bicycle was stolen at the intersection of University Rd and Gardner Rd on September 15. The bicycle was locked to a tree.

On September 21, an officer responded to Cypress St for a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was not locked. The individual reports leaving the bicycle on along a fence for a brief time. The matter is under investigation.

On September 21, an officer responded to Egmont St for a report of breaking and entering. Individuals in the apartment had numerous items stolen from them sometime the day prior. The matter is under investigation.


On September 21, an officer responded to Beacon St for a bicycle stop. After an investigation, it was determined that the bicycle the subject was riding was stolen. The subject also had many items on him that were determined stolen. The subject was placed under arrest.

Police Reports September 18, 2014

On September 18, an officer responded to Washington St for a larceny report. The individual’s property was stolen sometime on September 17. The items were taken while he was working at a business on Beacon St. The matter is under investigation.


On September 18, an officer responded to Monmouth St for a report of a stolen package. The package was delivered sometime on September 15, but the individual could not locate the package.

On September 17, an officer observed a passing vehicle along Washington St with a failed inspection sticker. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a warrant for his arrest. The driver was placed under arrest.


On September 17, officer responded to Monmouth Ct for a report of a burglary. The suspect fled through the back door of the residence. Officers stopped the subject and burglarious tools were found on him. Based on information obtained at the scene, the subject was placed under arrest for the attempted burglary.

On September 16, an officer conducted a stop along Harvard St. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for operating with a suspended license.

On September 16, an officer conducted a stop along Harvard St after the vehicle failed to stop at a red light. The officer asked the driver for her license and registration. The driver had a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

On September 16, an officer observed a vehicle with an expired registration sticker along Netherlands Rd and Riverway. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On September 16, an officer conducting speed enforcement along Beacon St observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was unlicensed and had a warrant for her arrest. The driver was placed under arrest.

On September 16, an officer responded to Summit Ave for a report of a stolen motorized scooter. The scooter was stolen sometime that afternoon from the individual’s driveway. The matter is under investigation.

On September 16, an officer responded to Sumner Rd for a report of a stolen package. The package was found but the contents were missing. The matter is under investigation.

On September 16, an officer responded to Stanton Rd for a report of a stolen package. The individual was told that the package was delivered but it was missing.


On September 16, an officer responded to a business on Harvard St for a report of a stolen wallet. The individual left her wallet and then left the store. She then came back to the store to get her wallet and it was not there. The suspect in this incident is a female in her late teens/early 20s. The subject was described as a Hispanic female wearing a red long sleeved t-shirt, black vest and black pants. She was accompanied by another individual described as a Hispanic female wearing a white shirt, black jacket and blue jeans carrying a black back pack.

Police Reports September 15, 2014

On September 15, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of package theft. The individual’s package was delivered sometime on September 11 or September 12. The matter is under investigation.

On September 15, an officer responded to Hawes St for multiple package thefts. The individual had packages that were delivered to her and the contents were removed. The matter is under investigation.

On September 15, officers responded to a business on Washington St for a report of shoplifting. The suspect took several items from the store. The suspect is described as a black male in his 50s, 5’6”, heavy set, black and white hair wearing white pants, white dress shirt, black jacket and black sneakers. The matter is under investigation.

Police Reports September 12 through September 14, 2014

On September 12, an officer conducting random query along Boylston St when they observed a vehicle with a revoked insurance. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was summonsed to Brookline District Court for operating a vehicle with a revoked insurance.

On September 12, an individual reported his wallet was stolen at a business on Beacon St. The individual left his wallet on the counter and left the store. The individual went back into the store and the wallet was not there. The subject that took the wallet from the counter is described as a white male with black hair in his mid 20’s wearing a grey shirt and blue sweats with white stripes and black glasses. The matter is under investigation.

On September 13, officers responded to Summit Ave for a report of a stolen motorized scooter. The individual stated that the scooter was stolen out of his driveway. The matter is under investigation.

On September 13, an officer responded to Egmont St for a report of a stolen bicycle. The individual’s bicycle was stolen from a bicycle rack located outside of her building. It was secured with a rubber lock.

On September 14, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Harvard St input a random query of a vehicle. The vehicle failed inspection previously and the officer pulled the vehicle over. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver did not have a license to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest.

On September 14, an officer responded to Auburn St for a report of a stolen bicycle. The individual’s bicycle was stolen from the building’s garage. The matter’s under investigation.


On September 14, an officer responded to Evan Rd for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual’s car appeared to be rummaged through Saturday morning. Some jewelry was missing from the vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

Police Reports September 11, 2014

On September 11, an officer observed a vehicle operating at a high rate of speed along Boylston St. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest for operating after the suspension.

On September 11, officers responded to a report of shoplifting at a business on Beacon St. The subject was observed placing items into his jacket. The subject was approached by an employee about the items and fled the store. The matter is under investigation.


On September 11, a subject was arrested for the enticement of a child on Craigslist.

Police Reports September 10, 2014

On September 10, an officer conducting random query of a license plate pulled a vehicle with an expired registration. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. Based on information obtained at the scene, cocaine was discovered in the vehicle during its inventory. The driver was placed under arrest for possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

On September 10, an officer observed a vehicle drive through a red light at the intersection of Davis Ave and Washington St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. Based on information obtained at the scene, the driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

On September 10, an officer conducting traffic enforcement pulled a vehicle over that did not stop at a stop sign. The driver did not have a license. The vehicle was turned over to the owner and the driver is issued a court summons for the violation.

On September 10, an officer responded to a report of stolen bicycle on Beacon St. The individual last saw her bicycle on September 7 locked to a pole. The matter is under investigation.


On September 10, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along West Roxbury Parkway observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver had a suspended license. The vehicle was turned over to an active operator and the driver is summonsed to court.

Police Reports September 9, 2014

On September 9, an officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn on Lagrange St on Rangeley Rd. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended, resulting in the driver’s arrest.

On September 9, an officer conducting traffic enforcement on Boylston St observed a vehicle make an illegal turned. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver had a suspended license, resulting in the driver’s arrest.


On September 9, an officer responded to a business on Harvard St for a larceny report. The individual’s tablet was stolen while he was shopping. The matter is under investigation.

On September 8, an officer responded to Gardener Rd for a report of a breaking and entering of two motor vehicles. Change was taken from both vehicles sometime the night before. The vehicles were left unlocked.

Police Reports September 5, 2014 through September 7, 2014

On September 5, an officer observed a vehicle drive through a red light at the intersection of Boylston St and High St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended. The driver was arrested for operating with a suspended license.

On September 5, an officer responded to Harvard St for a report of stolen packages. On September 4, the subject stole 3 packages from the residence. The subject is described as a male wearing a blue or gray jacket, jeans and white sneakers.

On September 5, an office responded to Harvard St for a larceny report. An individual reported that her bumper was missing from her vehicle. The bumper was last observed sometime around August 26.  

On September 5, an officer observed an individual riding motorized vehicle with an improper helmet. The individual was stopped and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver did was no duly license. The motorized vehicle was towed and the driver is summonsed to Brookline Court.

On September 5, a subject was arrested for soliciting. The subject was not properly registered to solicit in the town of Brookline and did not comply with the town by-laws. The vehicle used for the company had an expired registration and was towed. Please be advised, in order to register to solicit door to door, you need to get a permit through the Brookline Police Department. The permit is registered through the Chief’s Office. The permit is $10 per month.

On September 6, a vehicle was parked at the intersection of Emerson St and Davis Ave with the operator in the vehicle. Based on information obtained at the scene, the subject was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol.

On September 6, a subject was placed under arrest for shoplifting at a business along Harvard St.

On September 6, officers responded to a business along Harvard St for a report of shoplifting. The subject took items from the store and fled on foot. The subject is described as a thin, tall, black male wearing a light blue shirt, black baseball hat, and dark pants and sneakers.

On September 6, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a stolen bicycle. The individual locked her two bicycles on a street sign along Beacon St on August 28, On her arrival the next morning, she noticed that the two bicycles were missing. One bicycle was recovered; the other one is still missing.

On September 6, an officer responded to Parkway Rd for a report of a stolen scooter. The individual believes the scooter was stolen sometime on September 3. The matter is under investigation.

Police Reports September 4, 2014

On September 4, an officer observed a vehicle drive through the red light at the Washington St and Cypress St intersection. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating with a revoked license and was placed under arrest.

On September 4, an officer responded to Aspinwall Ave for a report of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The rear window appeared to be broken by a brick. An item was taken from the vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

On September 4, an officer responded to Shaw Rd for a past breaking and entering of two motor vehicles. Upon arrival to his vehicle the next morning, he noticed that his car was rummaged through. Several items were missing from the vehicle. Nothing was missing from the second vehicle but it did appear to be rummaged through. Both vehicles were parked in driveways and left unlocked. Please remember to lock your car doors.

On September 4, based on random query, an officer pulled a vehicle over that had a revoked registration. The officer asked the driver for her license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest for operating with a suspended license.


On September 4, an officer observed three subjects on stolen bicycles, one who abandoned a bicycle and fled. Based on information obtained at the scene, the other two subjects were arrested for larceny of the bicycles.

Police Reports September 3, 2014

On September 3, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Boylston St observed a vehicle make an illegal turn. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver had an expired license. The driver was placed under arrest for not being duly licensed.

On September 3, an officer responded to Boylston St for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual parked his vehicle for two hours and upon his arrival back, he noticed several items were missing. The vehicle was left unlocked.

On September 3, an officer responded to a report for an attempted breaking and entering on Walnut St. The subject attempted to gain entrance through the residence door. Based on information obtained at the scene, the subject was arrested for attempted breaking and entering.


On September 3, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a bicycle theft. The individual locked his bicycle to a rack in the garage of his residence. Upon his arrival home, he noticed the bike was missing and the lock was on the ground near the bike rack. The matter is under investigation.
