Crime Report (4/30/07)
- Occurred at 12:31 a.m. (4/27/07)- 302 Harvard Street
John Thompson of Brookline was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor after failing a field sobriety test. Thompson also received a citation for receiving stolen property. He had had a suitcase in the back of the vehicle at the time of the stop, and an inventory search revealed multiple prescription bottles, a purse containing a passport, a digital camera, US and Jamaican coins, women’s clothing, and toiletries. Thompson additionally received a citation for failure to display headlights, the initial reasoning for the traffic stop. - Between 7:50 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. (4/27/07)- 155 Harvard Street
Gregory Croft of Jamaica Plain was arrested for Shoplifting and for a default warrant. Croft had shoplifted at the Stop and Shop on Harvard, placing multiple perishable items in a backpack. - Between 12:25 a.m. and 12:36 a.m. (4/28/07)- 1195 Boylston Street

Ian Wood of South Boston was arrested for a default warrant for failure to appear.

The driver side window of the victim’s vehicle was smashed and a portable Garmin GPS (E340) system was missing. - Between 7:00 p.m. (4/26/07) and 6:00 a.m. (4/27/07)- Thornton Road
The passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle had been smashed. A GPS car adapter, radio/traffic transmitter for GPS, cell phone charger, and a radio detector was stolen.
LARCENY
- Between 3:00 p.m. (4/24/07) and 7:00 a.m. (4/25/07)- 874 Commonwealth Ave
At the above time and location, four espresso machines had been stolen from Starbucks. Two of the machines had been on demo and were on display on the front counter. The other two had still been in the boxes. - Between 7:45 p.m. (4/27/07) and 12:50 p.m. (4/28/07)- 41 Carlton Street
At the above time and location, the victim’s bicycle was stolen from the basement of her building. The victim reported that the door had been locked when she had left that morning, but there appeared to be no forced entry. Other tenants keep their bikes in the same area. - Between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. (4/28/07)- 320 Harvard Street
At the above time and location, the owner of Fire Opal reported a shoplifting. The owner stated that a blue Shoal (valued at $250) had been stolen from the store.
ASSAULT
- Occurred at 2:38 a.m. (4/28/07)- St Paul Street/Commonwealth Avenue
At the above time and location, the witness had been walking with a friend when he was assaulted by two black male suspects. One of the black males had punched the victim in the back of the head multiple times. The friend of the victim was frantic and yelled at the suspects to stop. The suspects stopped and took off with the group of girls they had been standing with. Using the description given by the victim, one of the suspects was later found and identified. He will be summonsed to court for Assault and Battery. - Between 12:30 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. (4/20/07)- 307 Harvard Street
At the above time and location, the victim had been assaulted by a man with a knife. The victim stated the he had gone outside of the Coolidge Corner Club House to smoke a cigarette when the suspect approached him, making a comment about the victim’s New York hat. When the victim didn’t acknowledge the suspect, the suspect got in his face and started yelling at him. The victim pushed him away. At this time, the suspect came at the victim with a knife and cut his hand and neck. When the victim went inside to get a friend, the suspect ran off. The victim’s wounds resulted in a total of forty stitches. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 20s, approximately 6’0”, 200 lbs, thin goatee, wearing a Red Sox hat and a World Series Champions 2004 sweatshirt.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
- Between 3:00 p.m. (4/21/07) and 12:00 p.m. (4/25/07)- 1498 Beacon Street
At the above time and location, the victim reported that his motor vehicle had been stolen. The victim had parked his vehicle in his parking spot on 4/21 and did not return to it until 4/25 when he discovered it missing. The victim reported that he does not drive often, and had not seen the vehicle since he parked it.
MALICIOUS DAMAGE
- Occurred at 11:36 p.m. (4/28/07)- Harvard Street/Green Street
At the above time and location, there had been a report of five youths knocking down mailboxes. Two witnesses had heard the mailboxes being knocked to the ground and had observed the youths in the area. Two of the suspects were later found and identified. They admitted to the act and will be summonsed into court for malicious destruction of property.
Crime Report (4/27/07)
ARRESTS
- Between 12:00 p.m. (8/25/06) and 12:00 p.m. (4/11/07)- 1341 Beacon St
Chara Wheeler (black female, age 18) of Roxbury was arrested for two counts of Larceny. An investigation of debit/credit cards being stolen from Sovereign Bank on Beacon revealed that Wheeler, a past employee of the bank, had taken two credit cards that had been left at the banks ATM machines. There is still an ongoing investigation concerning additional cases of stolen cards from Sovereign Bank. - Between 9:30 p.m. and 9:38 p.m. (4/26/07)- Beacon Street/Englewood Ave
Ruben Ayuazyan (white male, age 19) was arrested for Domestic Assault and Battery and also for a default warrant. Ayuazyan had been upset with his girlfriend for being late and hit her across the cheek with an open hand. There were three witnesses of the incident.
LARCENY
- Between 3:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. (4/26/07)- 129 Fisher Avenue
At the above time and location, a laptop was stolen from a dormitory at Newbury College. The victim stated that there have been numerous thefts on his floor the second semester. - Occurred at 10:46 p.m. (4/26/07)- 129 Fisher Avenue
At the above time and location, the victim reported that his green baseball duffel bag had been stolen. He had placed it down on the sidewalk while he spoke with some friends, but when he went to retrieve a “minute or two” later, it was gone. The victim’s wallet, cell phone, and baseball equipment were in the bag. The victim also reported that his debit card had already been used at a Shell station in Brighton.
FRAUD
- Between 9:00 a.m. (2/18/07) and 4:00 p.m. (2/20/07)- Newton Street
The victim reported that her debit card had been used fraudulently four times at the JD Exxon gas station in Brookline.

- Between 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (4/26/07)- Westbourne Terrace
The victim reported that the rear passenger side window of his vehicle had been smashed. A Boston College shoulder bag containing a HP laptop computer, school notes and papers was stolen. Witnesses had observed two suspicious males in the area between 5:00 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. The suspects were described as white, Italian, or Spanish males, 5’6”-5’8”, 170-180 lbs, 30-40 years of age. One was wearing a green t-shirt and blue jeans, and the other a black sweater with white stripes around the neck area and black pants. One was also described as skinny, while the other had a slight gut.

Update-Sexual Assault
The victim stated that in both incidents the suspect "grabbed her butt" while passing on the sidewalk in the opposite direction.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE
- Between 10:00 p.m. (4/24/07) and 5:30 a.m. (4/25/07)- 660 Chestnut Hill Ave
At the above time and location, a large red “X” was painted on the outer front door of the victim’s home. The street number marker and retaining wall also had some spray paint on them. A further check of the area revealed “JAMA” painted on the street, “AL4W” on the side walk, and spray paint on a sign.
LARCENY
- Between 5:00 p.m. (4/13/07) and 9:00 a.m. (4/18/07)- 205 Beverly Road
At the above time and location, two envelopes containing cash and checks were taken from two separate classrooms at Baker School. One envelope contained approximately $190 and the other $220. The cash and checks were donations from parents for a an upcoming play the school is putting on.
BURGLARY
- Between 6:30 p.m. (4/24/07) and 4:45 p.m. (4/25/07)- Browne Street
At the above time and location, several windows at the victim’s residence had been broken. Three cactus plants and several photos were missing from the inside, but were later rediscovered on a window ledge where the first window had been broken. All the basement windows have iron security bars, and it appears the items were moved by reaching through the bars.

The victim reported that someone had opened the unlocked door to her vehicle, and searched through the property. Nothing appears to be missing from the vehicle.
FRAUD
- Occurred at 5:40 p.m. (4/13/07)- Princeton Road
The victim reported that there had been two fraudulent charges made to his credit card with TigerDirect.com. - Occurred at 7:41 (4/24/07)- Beacon Street
A fraudulent transaction was made the victim’s bank account. The amount of $324 had been transferred from the account to Toyota Financial Services. The transaction appeared to be fraud that occurred over the internet.

Crime Report (4/25/07)
ARRESTS
- Occurred at 7:55 a.m. (4/23/07)- 229 Harvard Street
Henrique Lobo of Lynn was arrested for Operating after Suspension. Lobo also received citations for left turn where prohibited and for license not in possession. - Occurred at 8:47 p.m. (4/24/07)- Harris Street
Octavio Delgado of Brookline was arrested for Assault and Battery, A&B Domestic, and A&B with a dangerous weapon (globe base). Delgado had punched and thrown a world globe at a visitor that was having dinner with him and his roommate. When the roommate tried to get between Delgado and the guest, Delgado pushed him. Delgado had been intoxicated.
ROBBERY
- Occurred at 7:57 p.m. (4/19/07)- 155 Harvard Street
At the above time and location, the Stop and Shop gas station was robbed. The two suspects had entered the gas station booth. One of them pushed the cashier aside and demanded that she give them the money. The same suspect opened the cash register and took #392.24, also taking the tip jar (containing approx $20) on their way out. Before they left, the suspects returned and took the cashier’s cell phone and threw it in the garbage. The suspects were described as two black males, late teens to early twenties, both wearing all black, including a black mask. The first suspect was 5’10- 6’0” and the other was approximately 5’4”. The cashier stated the shorter suspect was not an active participant during the robbery.
LARCENY
- Between 8:00 a.m. (10/15/07) and 5:11 p.m. (4/23/07)- Chapel Street
At the above time and location, the victim’s bicycle was taken from her buildings storage room. The bicycle was described as a 2003 Giant Rincon woman style mountain bike, light blue in color, a water bottle rack in the middle, and a U-shaped lock attached to the frame.
INDECENT A&B
- Between 4:20 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (4/23/07)- Chatham Street/Kent Street
The victim stated that while walking on Chatham Street she felt that someone was walking closely behind her. She turned around and recognized the suspect as the same person that had grabbed her butt on Beacon Street back in December 2006. The suspect walked by the victim, turned around once he reached Kent Street, and began walking toward her. When he passed the victim, he reached around her and grabbed her butt then continued walking. At this time the victim called the police. The suspect was described as a white male, 14 years of age, 5’7”, short brown hair, early facial hair growth, wearing a bright orange short sleeved t-shirt, black shorts and olive green skateboard type sneakers.
FRAUD
- Occurred at 9:00 a.m. (3/22/07)- Jordan Road
The victim reported two fraudulent charges made on his Citibank credit card. The charges were made by Western Union and money had been wired to an address in Brookline.
BURGLARY
- Between 4:00 p.m. (4/23/07) and 6:45 a.m. (4/24/07)- 1624 Beacon Street
At the above time and location, an unknown number of suspects had entered the building through a hole in the roof, dropped down into Fast Frames Store and cut a hole in the wall. The suspects had dismantled security and emptied the Bank of America ATM machine safes using blow torches. They exited the building through the back doors. - Between 8:20 a.m. and 6:44 p.m. (4/24/07)- St Paul Street
At the above time and location, the victim’s apartment had been broken into. It appears that the apartment door had been pried open. Two desk drawers had been overturned and left on the victim’s bed. Two bureau drawers had also been opened and clothes removed. An envelope that had contained $900 in US currency was taken from one of the desk drawers.

ARRESTS
- Occurred at 7:41 a.m. (4/21/07)- 1052 Beacon Street (C#2111)
Carlos Diaz of Allston and Celestino Lopez (Hispanic male, age 34) of Roslindale were both arrested for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (metal vacuum cleaner pipes) and malicious destruction of property. Diaz and Lopez had been having a verbal argument with Santos Arias (Hispanic male, age 32) of Chelsea while he was sitting his truck. The passenger of the truck, Arias’ girlfriend, has two restraining orders against Diaz. During the argument, Diaz and Lopez had been yelling into the truck and attempted to climb into it. They stopped when they realized that Arias had a machete. At this point, Diaz and Lopez retrieved the metal pipes. They returned to the truck and began to hit it, eventually breaking the driver side window. Arias received a laceration near his left eye from the broken glass. Arias was also arrested for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (machete). Diaz was additionally charged with violation of a restraining order. - Occurred at 7:45 p.m. (4/21/07)- 95 St Mary’s Street
Harold Nichols of Fall River was arrested for multiple default warrants out of Boston and Fall River. Nichols had been stopped due to suspicious behavior (pacing back and forth near the passenger side of parked motor vehicles) in an area that has had several recent B&E’s of vehicles. Nichols had provided a false name when first stopped. - Occurred at 2:05 p.m. (4/22/07)- 525 Harvard Street
Dacia Gibbon of Roxbury was placed under arrest for shoplifting. A TJ Max security guard had observed Gibbon concealing assorted women’s items in her blue bag. The security guard confronted her and escorted her to the security office. There she removed the items from her bag, but refused to stay in the office and left. The security guard followed Gibbon out of the store while staying in contact with dispatch. - Occurred at 1:25 a.m. (4/23/07)- Cypress Street/Walnut Street
Christopher Risso of Carlisle was arrested for Unlicensed Operation. - Occurred at 5:23 a.m. (4/23/07)- Cypress Street/Beacon Street
Paul McKenna of Acushnet was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension and Operating after Failed Inspection. The officer had observed the vehicle traveling with a “REJECTED” inspection sticker. A check of the license number determined that the registered owner had a suspended license. - Between 2:10 p.m. and 2:19 p.m. (4/23/07)- Brookline Ave/Aspinwall Ave (C#2158)
Juvenile of Roxbury was placed under arrest for Larceny over $250. The juvenile had been observed riding a stolen bicycle out of a common driveway accessed by a 4 multi-unit buildings in the area of Kent Street.

- Between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (4/21/07)- Harvard Street
The driver side window of the victim’s vehicle had been smashed. A GPS unit and a gold necklace with diamonds were stolen. - Between 7:15 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (7/22/07)- Beacon Street
The passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle was smashed and a portable Garmin GPS system was missing.
MALICIOUS DAMAGE
- Occurred at 1:56 a.m. (4/22/07)- Longwood Avenue
At the above time and location, a light fixture had been knocked over. It was torn from its base and the glass ball was shattered. A witness described the suspects as two white males, high school age, skinny, about 6’0”, with fuzzy hair. One suspect was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and the other was wearing all dark clothing. After the incident, the suspects fled down Longwood Ave toward the medical campuses. - Between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (4/20/07)- Heath Street
At the above time and location, a metal screw was placed into the right rear tire of the victim’s vehicle. The victim reported that this is the fourth time since February that this has occurred. - Occurred at 8:10 p.m. (4/23/07)- 66 Tappan Street
At the above time and location, the victim discovered the rear window of her vehicle had been broken.
LARCENY
- Occurred at 8:40 a.m. (4/22/07)- Harvard Street
At the above time and location, a CVS employee reported that a male suspect had taken two Norelco Rechargeable razors from the locked display rack and then exited the store through the rear entrance/exit doors. The suspect was described as a black male, 5’11”, 160 lbs, scruffy type facial hair, wearing a white baseball cap, black t-shirt, with a red “Air Jordan” type design, army fatigue jacket with a matching backpack, and black pants. The incident was able to be caught on video surveillance.
BURGLARY
- Between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. (4/22/07)- 385 Heath Street
At the above time and location, the victim’s IBM laptop and $80 were taken from the kitchen counter top. It appears the suspect had entered the victim’s home through an unlocked side door.
GRAFITTI
- Between 10:00 p.m. (4/19/07) and 8:30 a.m. (4/20/07)- Sewall Avenue
The building superintendent had discovered graffiti on the side of the building. The tag appeared to say “TANS pda”.

Daniel Giles of Burlington was arrested for Operating after Suspension and speeding. - Between 2:50 a.m. and 3:20 a.m. (4/20/07)- Harvard Street
Rochelle Janey of Brookline was placed under arrest for Sexual Conduct for a Fee. He was also arrested for a warrant for failure to appear. - Occurred at 9:30 a.m. (4/20/07)- Longwood Avenue
Etsuko Kaneki of Brookline was arrested for Domestic Assault and Battery. Kaneki had kicked and pushed her husband during an argument. - Between 7:00 p.m. and 7:06 p.m. (4/20/07)- Beacon Street
Harry Johnson of Boston was arrested for two counts of Shoplifting. Johnson had stolen 5 bottles of Eucerin Plus hand cream from Walgreen’s, and 13 bottle of Palmer Cocoa cream from CVS. A used burnt glass pipe used for crack cocaine was located in Johnson’s interior coat pocket and he was additionally charged with possession of class B.
MALICIOUS DAMAGE
- Occurred at 1:35 a.m. (4/20/07)- Harvard Street
The front window of Downtown Shooz was shattered. There was no apparent sign of entry, or a sign of any tool used to break the glass. - Between 10:00 a.m. (4/15/07) and 12:00 a.m. (4/16/07)- Westbourne Tr
The front first floor door of the victim’s residence had two scratch marks on it. One scratch mark was on the left side of the door and was approximately a foot long. The second scratch was on the right and appeared to be a carved “F”. The victim believes that the damage may have been made by a tenant of the building.

Karla Ferriera of Newton was placed under arrest for Domestic Assault and Battery. Ferriera had hit and scratched her boyfriend several times during an argument.
B&E&L OF MOTOR VEHICLE
- Between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (4/18/07)- Brookline Avenue
The passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle had been smashed. An IPod and cell phone were taken from the vehicle. The victim stated that he called his cell phone and a male with a Spanish accent answered the phone, but immediately terminated the call when the victim asked who he was. - Occurred at 9:12 p.m. (4/18/07)- Babcock Street/St John Street
At the above time and location, officers observed a vehicle with two parking tickets. A registry check revealed that the vehicle was stolen/cancelled plates not returned. The vehicle had minor damage all over it, including many rust spots. The hood was damaged, the ignition was popped, the interior was saturated with water, and the radio was missing.
MALICIOUS DAMAGE
- Between 6:05 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. (4/18/07)- Wolcott Road
At the above time and location, the victim’s son heard something hit the window in the den and break it. The son yelled for his mother and when she opened the front door she observed a 15-17 year old male, unknown race, short brown hair, wearing a black sweatshirt running down Wolcott Rd.
LARCENY
- Occurred at 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (4/18/07)- Harvard St, Magic Beans
At the above time and location, a female suspect entered the store with a two year old child. The suspect removed a baby stroller from its rack, placed the child in the stroller and then walked out of the store without paying. The suspect is a black female, light skin, about 5’6”, 130 lbs, wearing light blue colored jeans and a white turtle neck sweater. All of the above was captured on store video.
GRAFFITI
- Between 10:00 a.m. (4/17/07) and 10:00 a.m. (4/18/07)- Green Street
The graffiti is on the rear, exterior wall of the building. The tag was written in blue and read “Gangster Players”, with a symbol above the lettering. Two other locations in the vicinity were also tagged with the same symbol.

- Occurred at 4:38 p.m. (4/17/07)- Washington Street
Alfidis Victorino of Roslindale was placed under arrest for Operating After Suspension. Victorino also received citations for a red light violation. - Between 9:35 p.m. and 9:47 p.m. (4/17/07)- Harvard Street, CVS
Mosoud Abazari of Watertown was arrested for Shoplifting. Abazari had taken a Cosco Juvenile Umbrella Stroller and a candy bar from the store without paying. The manager of the store stopped him and asked him to return the items. Abazari complied, but appeared intoxicated.
LARCENY
- Occurred at 8:07 p.m. (4/14/07)- Commonwealth Avenue
At the above time and location, the store supervisor reported an attempted shoplifting. The supervisor had heard the suspect trying to break into a locked display case. When the supervisor approached him, the suspect appeared nervous and walked out of the store. Security cameras showed that the suspect was a black male, 26-30 years of age, 6’5”, large build, wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath, a baseball hat with a whit brim and gray/blue black and white sneakers. - Between 3:00 p.m. (3/29/07) and 11:00 a.m. (3/31/07)- Longwood Ave
At the above time and location, the victim reported that several tools and ornaments were taken from his premise without his knowledge. The items were a Dewalt Jigsaw drill (valued at $99.00), a glass vessel bathroom fixture (valued at $149.00) and a Jewish ornament (valued at $38.63).

- Between 11:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. (4/15/07)- Vernon Street
The front passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle had been smashed. A black Navman N40i portable GPS unit (valued at $500) was stolen.
MALICIOUS DAMAGE
- Between 8:17 p.m. and 8:27 p.m. (4/15/07)- Beacon Street
At the above time and location, the victim’s vehicle was damaged while parked in the Trader Joe’s parking lot. There were several silver colored marks along the entire driver side of the vehicle, possibly done by keying. - Between 9:00 pm (4/15/07) and 3:20 am (4/16/07)- Pleasant St/Dummer St
The rear window of the victim’s vehicle had been shattered. Nothing was missing.
BURGLARY
- Between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (4/4/07)- Thatcher Street
At the above time and location, the victim’s home had been broken into. Cash ($1500), along with a key to the victim’s new vehicle had been stolen. The cash had been on top of a wooden box in front of the window, and the key had been on the window sill. It appears the point of entry was made via the unlocked first floor window. There had been an attempt at the rear kitchen window.
FRAUD
- Between 8:00 a.m. (5/1/06) and 8:00 a.m. (11/1/06)- St Paul Street
The victim reported that someone had used his name and social security number and opened an account with Verizon Wireless. The bill had been ran up over $1000 and was never paid.
GRAFFITI
- Between 11:00 p.m. (4/13/07) and 10:00 a.m. (4/14/07)- Cypress Street
At the above time and location, the victim noticed fresh graffiti on the side of the building. The marks on the building resembled “ICER” and “PDA”. The building has been damaged two other times in recent weeks. - Between 10:00 p.m. (4/13/07) and 4:46 p.m. (4/14/07)- Stearns Road
The side of the building had been tagged sometime overnight. The tag had been spray painted in white and read “TANG”. - Between 10:14 (4/13/07) and 10:14 (4/15/07)- Babcock Street
The rear of the building’s right side and the garage bay had both been tagged. The spray painted tags included “TANG” and “SPOOK”.

Roger Gooden was arrested for Operating After Suspension of license, a default warrant, and use without authority. Gooden had been driving his wife’s vehicle without her consent. - Between 10:00 p.m. (4/13/07) and 2:41 (4/14/07)- Summit Ave/Atherton Rd
At the above time and location, an officer observed five suspicious youths walking on Beacon Street heading towards Summit Avenue. Upon further observation, the officer examined three of the youths standing on Summit Ave near Atherton Road, and the other two in the parking lot. One of the juveniles was acting as a “lookout”, while the other entered a motor vehicle. When the suspects observed the officer in the parking lot (located in an unmarked white van), they all ran. A description of the suspects was given over the radio. Four possible suspects were later located on Beacon Street. They were separated and interviewed. During an interview with the suspect that had acted as a lookout, his cell phone rang. The caller was the fifth suspect, the individual that had broken into the motor vehicle. Through the phone call, officers were able to determine the suspect’s location and later apprehended him. The Juvenile, the lookout, and the Juvenile, the individual that had broken into the vehicle, were both arrested for Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle. The second juvenile was also arrested for Possession of Burglarious Tools (a leather-man tool).

At the above time and location, the victim’s cell phone was stolen from his jacket pocket. ARRESTS

Saed Hussain of Brookline was arrested for Operating Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor, operating to endanger, and speeding. Hussain had been operating his motor vehicle and lost control on Beacon Street. Hussain crashed his vehicle into the embankment near the MBTA tracks. - Occurred at 7:15 a.m. (4/12/07)- Atherton Street
An arrest warrant was executed at the above time and location, and Juan Vazquez of Boston was apprehended. When Vazquez initially observed the police presence, he attempted to flee. After he left his residence he was seen on top of a garage. In order to get away, Vazquez jumped from the garage (approx 8’). Police were able to detain him in the backyard where he landed. - Occurred at 6:20 a.m. (4/12/07)- Harvard Street
Robert Smith of Georgetown was arrested for Operating after Suspension.

At the above time and location, a terminated employee of Cingular had taken a cell phone (model 8525, valued at $650) from the manager’s officer. The suspect had committed the act shortly after his termination. Detectives contacted the suspect, but the cell phone has not been returned as of yet. At the above time and location, the victim’s wallet went missing. The wallet had been inside of the victim’s purse and there are numerous locations the wallet could have been lost or stolen. The locations include Bonard Road, Goddard Avenue, or Macy’s and the Container Store located in Chestnut Hill.

At the above time and location, the victim’s home was broken into while one of the victim’s was present. The victim did not realize that a burglary had occurred until her husband came home and discovered that two particular doors had been opened. The kitchen door was determined to be the point of entry. The victims reported that a pillowcase pulled out from a bookshelf was the only thing disturbed, and nothing appears to be missing at this time.

ROBBERY

A Brookline man reported an attempted armed robbery. While he was walking home, a white SUV with red trim had pulled up beside him. The vehicle was occupied by 6 individuals; one white female, the driver, and the rest black males. The black male in the passenger seat had started yelling at the victim and then got out of the vehicle in a threatening manner. He then got back inside of the vehicle and it drove off. The victim continued to walk to his residence. The same black male later appeared in front of the victim with his right hand in his pocket saying “give me your money”. He then pulled a black handgun from his pocket and pointed it at the victim. The victim kicked at the suspect causing him to lose his balance and to fall into a parked car. The victim then ran across the street to get away. The suspect was described as a black male, 6’2”, medium build, 27 years of age, dark complexion, short hair, wearing jeans and a black long sleeve shirt.

Irving Parry of Arlington was arrested for a Default Warrant for failure to appear out of Brighton District Court. Parry also received a citation for a defective headlight.
LARCENY

At the above time and location, there had been an attempted shoplifting at the CVS Pharmacy on Washington Street. An employee had observed the suspect put items into a bag he had picked up in the store. When confronted about whether or not he was going to purchase the items, the suspect responded “no”, dropped the bag and left the store. Video footage showed that the suspect was a white male, 6’0”, short brown hair, heavy/strong build, wearing a red Red Sox hat, a grey hooded sweatshirt that had “Harvard” on the front, black pants and white sneakers. - Between 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. (4/9/07)- Pierce Playground
At the above time and location, $260 was taken from the victim’s purse which is kept in another large shoulder bag. A witness informed the victim that she had seen a Brookline woman looking through the bag approximately three times while the victim was at Pierce Playground with her daughter. A Brighton man reported that his vehicle had received extensive damage and that certain parts of the vehicle had been stolen. Two fog light covers were taken from the front bumper, as well as the “Audi” logo from the front grille. It appeared that someone had attempted to remove the entire front grille and the front center area of the hood was damaged.

FRAUD

Victim reported the fraudulent use of a business credit card. The card was used to purchase a Dell laptop and other computers accessories for approximate $2600. The victim has reason to believe the charge was made by a terminated employee.
The following are three similar indecent assault and battery cases believed to have been committed by the same suspect. A similar description would be Asian male, early twenties, medium build, 5’5”-8”, 150 lbs, and typically wears a black hoodie:
INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY

At the above time and location, a Brighton woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted while jogging on Winchester Street. The victim stated that while she was running she felt someone place their hand on her left hip, slowing her down. As the victim turned to see who it was, the suspect indecently assaulted her. When she started to yell, the suspect ran down Wellman Street. The suspect was described as a light skinned Asian, Hispanic, or Black male, 5’5” medium build, clean shaven, dark hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and black sneakers. - Occurred at 7:25 p.m. (2/25/07)- 19 Winchester Street
The victim reported an indecent assault and battery by a male that had been hiding in the bushes. The victim had been walking down Winchester Street wearing an IPod when the suspect grabbed her from behind indecently. The suspect knocked the victim to the ground and continued to assault her indecently. As the victim started to scream, the suspect got off her and ran toward Kelton Street. The victim was described as light skinned Black or Hispanic male, 5’8”, average build, 20s, wearing a black winter jacket, dark sweat pants with white strips running down the sides, and possibly some type of hat. - Occurred at 7:50 p.m. (2/25/07)- 201 Winchester Street
At the above time and location, the victim reported that an indecent exposure made by Asian male. The victim stated that she had been walking in the area of 201 Winchester Street when she noticed a male standing next to some bushes. As the victim approached the suspect he exposed himself to her. The suspect was described as an Asian male, early 20s, 5’5”, 150 lbs, possibly stubble on his face, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt (hood up) and dark colored basketball shorts with white stripes down the sides.

LARCENY

At the above time and location, the victim’s vehicle had been jacked up and the tires and rims were stolen. Security tape revealed a suspicious vehicle with several suspects pull up to the victim’s vehicle. - Between 2:40 p.m. and 2:47 p.m. (4/6/07)- Harvard Street
At the above time and location, a shoplifting was reported at CVS Pharmacy. According to the shift supervisor, the suspect had been in the store the previous day and had sounded the front door alarms when she had left. When the suspect returned the following day, the shift supervisor expected the suspect was attempting to shoplift again and called the police. Through investigation, it was eventually determined that the suspect had shoplifted from CVS and also from The Children’s Place. The suspect received a verbal No-Trespass warning to both CVS and The Children’s Place. A complaint was also filed against the suspect to appear in court for shoplifting. - Between 2:28 p.m. and 2:35 p.m. (4/6/07)- Beacon Street
At the above time and location, the Mint Julip reported a shoplifting. The suspects were described as two Asian females, both approx. 5’1”, 20-24 years of age. One had a long ponytail, and the other had an abnormally large black handbag. - Between 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. (4/7/07)- Beacon Street
At the above time and location, a Trader Joe’s Supermarket employee had chased an alleged shoplifter on foot, but lost him. The employee reported that the suspect had stolen a bottle of wine. He had purchased $2-3 worth of merchandise, but ran when approached about the unpaid bottle of wine. The suspect was able to be identified due to the use of an EBT Welfare card at the time of his purchase, and a request was made to issue a hearing for shoplifting.
BURGLARY
- Between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. (4/6/07)- Willard Road
At the above time and location, the victim’s pocketbooks had been taken from their home and left in the backyard at another location. They are unaware of how the culprit entered the home, but stated that their alarm had not been armed at the time. Multiple people had been going in and out of the house, and the victims believe that the door could have been left ajar. One victim believes nothing was taken from her purse, but the other reported that an unknown amount of cash (under $100) was missing. - Occurred at 5:13 a.m. (4/4/07)- Heath Street
At the above time and location, the two victims’ home had been broken into and multiple items were stolen. One of the victims reported that his bedroom door, which had been locked, was forced open using what appeared to be body pressure or a kick. Car keys were the only thing missing from the bedroom. The other victim reported that a play station, various medications, and a Motorola phone charger were taken from his room. A report at the same address had been taken earlier that day concerning two suspects attempting to break into motor vehicles, including the one of the victim’s. At the above time and location, there was a report of two males attempting to gain entry into a motor vehicle using a remote and a key. A witness had observed the suspects attempting to break into the vehicle, and had heard the car alarm of her neighbors’ vehicle go off as well. One of the suspects was described as a Hispanic male, 5’8”, heavyset with a goatee, wearing dark jacket and cap. The second was described as a Hispanic male, approx 5’6”, thin, with short curly hair, wearing a light blue jacket.

At the above time and location, someone had spray painted a white stripe on the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle. The stripe was the length of the vehicle.
ROBBERY

At the above time and location, there was an attempted armed robbery. The suspect had entered the store and demanded that the cashier “get a bad and put all the money in the bag”. He was brandishing what appeared to be a butter knife. When the cashier refused and stated that she had mace, the suspect fled the store. The suspect was described as a white male, mid-thirties, 5’8”-5’10”, overweight with a large “gut”, wearing a hooded blue jacket, beige baseball cap, and grey sweatpants.

LARCENY

At the above time and location, a stone statue was taken from the victim’s front porch. The statue is approximately 30 inches tall and weighs 30-40 lbs. - Between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (3/30/07)- Upland Road
At the above time and location, the victim’s bicycle was stolen. The victim had left the bike unlocked against a bench at Downs Field to attend track practice. The bike was described as a silver Norco 8 speed mountain bike with a black seat, yellow chain guard, one black brake handle and one yellow brake handle. The bike also had several stickers on it.
BURGLARY
- Occurred at 5:43 p.m. (4/4/07)- Thornton Road
At the above time and location, detectives observed that the victim’s home had been broken into. The point of entry was the window above the kitchen sink. After entering the apartment, it appeared as though the suspect may have gone to the second floor and then exited through the first floor rear door. The victim is out of the country on vacation and it is unknown if any items were removed.

Rochelle Dance was arrested for shoplifting from CVS. The store manager had observed Dance putting 9 key chains, 1 flashlight, 1 CVS camera and 3 pairs of sunglasses into her bag. The merchandise totaled $137.53. Security tape confirmed that Dance had placed the items into a white shopping bag. - Between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. (4/2/07)-
Suspect was arrested for two counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (rope and floor). There is a current ongoing investigation of allegations against the suspect concerning the abuse of his daughter.

The victim reported that her fence had been damaged on three separate occasions. The victim stated she first noticed one of the fence posts was broken in half on 3/31/07 at 9:00 a.m. She next noticed on 4/1/07 at approx 8:45 a.m. that another three posts were broken in half. On 4/3/07 at approx. 9:30 a.m., two fence post caps were missing.

At the above time and location, the victim reported that he had found the party that had stolen the rims and tires from his car months ago (police report filed with Boston). The victim states that he seen the stolen parts on a Porsche for sale at US Petroleum. The victim confronted the suspect and explained that if he wasn’t given back the parts he would call the police. At this point, the suspect reportedly fled.

At the above time and location, the victim’s home was broken into and several items were taken from the living room and bedroom. The items include a digital camera, laptop, and wallet. ARRESTS

Carey Ryan was arrested for Domestic Assault and Battery, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, and for an Outstanding Warrant. Ryan had slapped the victim, her ex-boyfriend, because he refused to leave her home. As she attempted to call the police, the victim took her phone and threw it out the window. Ryan then took a piece of broken glass from the window and threatened to cut the victim with it if he didn’t leave.
LARCENY
- Between 3:30 p.m. (4/1/07) and 8:28 a.m. (4/2/07)- Strathmore Road
The victim had left a black bag containing numerous tools inside a building at the above location. The bag had been left behind a locked door. It was missing when the victim returned to the building. The luggage tags had been ripped off and left on the ground. There appeared to be no forced entry. - Between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. (3/31/07)- Park Street
At the above time and location, $300 was reportedly taken from the victim’s wallet. The victim is a patient at the Brookline Heath Care Center and believes that the wallet was taken by a nursing assistant at the facility. The victim stated that he had kept his wallet underneath his pillow for most of the day, and had never left the room the entire day. - Between 7:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. (4/2/07)- Beacon Street
At the above time and location, the victim reported that her cell phone was stolen from her room while she stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. She had left her door ajar, and stated she was only outside for 5-10 minutes. The phone was described as a Nextel brand, model I-860 and valued at approx. $300.

At the above time and location, the victim reported that his credit and debit card were missing from his wallet. The credit card was used at an appliance store located at Copley Place. The amount charged to the card was $3612.48. - Between 10:00 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. (3/16/07)- Amory Street
At the above time and location, the victim had placed a package on the outside foyer of her place of work so that she could return to her vehicle. When she returned to the foyer the package was gone. The package had contained ski equipment, which included a set of skis, poles, and boots. - Occurred at 5:19 p.m. (3/28/07)- Beacon Street
At the above time and location, new checks from Sovereign Bank intended for the victim were stolen. The checks had been left with the buildings door person, but were no where to be found when the victim went to retrieve them. Two of the checks have been cashed, both in the amount of $500 each. - Between 9:00 a.m. (3/18/07) and 6:03 p.m. (3/29/07)- Harvard Street
At the above time and location, a gold and diamond ring was stolen from its locked jewelry case at Fire Opal. A key is needed to open the case. The ring was described as a Sara Graham gold band with yellow and black diamonds set on it. - Occurred at 2:30 p.m. (4/1/07)- Harvard Street
At the above time and location, the victim reported that she had seen a black male suspect shoplifting from the basement storage area of the store. The victim had let the suspect into the store’s basement to use the men’s bathroom and did not monitor him as he did so. He was seen leaving the basement through the employee’s only door on video camera. The suspect had what appeared to be a bag of diapers in his hand. The subject was described as a black male, 30-40 years of age, wearing blue jeans, brown work boots, a dark gray jacket w/light gray sleeves and light gray breast jacket. The subject was also wearing a black baseball hat with a white circular logo. - Between 1:20 p.m. and 4:35 p.m. (3/30/07)- Greenough Street
At the above time and location, the victim’s locker was broken into, and her IPod was stolen from her purse. - Between 11:00 p.m. (3/31/07) and 4:00 a.m. (4/1/07)- Beacon Street
The victim reported that his laptop had been stolen. He stated that his 3 roommates had had a party at the above residence. Approximately 60-80 had been in attendance. When the party was ending, the victim noticed his laptop was missing.
FRAUD

The victim reported that numerous transactions had been made on her Bank of America debit card account without her permission. A review of her statement revealed 52 fraudulent purchases had been made on Amazon.com totaling $2510.83.
ASSAULT
- Between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. (3/20/07)- Goddard Avenue
The victim reported that his boss had assaulted him. The two men had been working and an argument began. During the argument, the boss struck the victim on the left side of his face with an open hand.
MALICIOUS DAMAGE
- Between 11:30 a.m. (28/07) and 10:00 a.m. (3/29/07)- Lee Street
At the above time and location, the victim reported the master padlock on his gate had been broken. - Between 6:00 a.m. and 10:24 a.m. (3/30/07)- Commonwealth Avenue
The victim’s reported a long thin scratch on the driver side front door of his vehicle. The scratch was approximately two feet long in length, and appeared to have been made with a sharp object. - Between 11:00 p.m. (3/31/07) and 2:00 p.m. (4/1/07)- Pleasant Street
Victim reported malicious damage made to her motor vehicle. The vehicle had a scratch that began at the rear tailgate and went up to the front driver side door. - Between 1:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.- Beacon Street
The passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle had been broken. Nothing was taken.
BUGLARY
- Between 2:24 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. (3/28/07)- Thornton Road
At the above time and location, the victim’s home had been broken into and items were taken from the residence. The items included a laptop computer, two men’s rings, $400 in Canadian currency, and a bottle of vodka. The suspect’s point of entry was made through an unlocked side window. - Between 7:00 a.m. (3/26/07) and 3:46 p.m. (3/30/07)- Henry Street
The victim reported a breaking and entering of her home. The culprit’s point of entry appeared to be an unlocked rear bedroom window. Objects within the victim’s home were moved and opened, but nothing was reported stolen at this time. - Occurred at 4:42 p.m. (4/1/07)- Clinton Road
At the above time and location, the victim had been in her home while a suspect had attempted to break in. She had been in the basement when she heard a noise from her laundry area. She looked into the room and saw a male at the basement window. He had broken the storm window and was attempting to gain entry. She stated that she asked, "What are you doing?" and the subject replied, "I don't know." The victim then ran up to her kitchen to call 911. The suspect was described as very thin white male with a beard, late twenties or early thirties, wearing a beige jacket.
GRAFFITI

At the above time and location, graffiti was painted on the victim’s gate. It appeared to be the letters PDA, followed by an arrow. - Between 11:30 p.m. (3/30/07) and 11:20 a.m. (3/31/07)- Robinson Playground
Similar damage as in C#1702 was done to a sign, fence, and barrel at Robinson Playground. - Between 11:30 p.m. (3/30/07) and 12:46 p.m. (3/31/07)- Cypress Street
Graffiti was reported on the victim’s commercial property. Damage was made on the side of the building. - Between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. (3/30/07)- Cypress Street
“PDA” followed by two numbers “07” were spray painted with light blue paint on the victim’s garage door.
