Attempted Robbery

· Occurred at 5:45 pm at 25 Harvard St.

Victim reports that as she was walking in the parking lot in the rear of the building she was grabbed by the neck and felt a hand against her back. She states that the subject began to demand money from her at which time she screamed very loudly and turned. She says when she did this the suspect laughed and then ran away. The Victim describes the suspect as a very thing black man, 5”5 wearing a very bright T-shirt, and jeans. He appeared to be about 15 years of age, and may have had either clear braises or a retainer in his mouth.

Attempted Robbery

· Occurred between 5:50 pm and 5:53 pm 1 Kent St at Amden Pl.

Victim reports that as she was walking through the parking lot between Kent St and Station St heading towards the Brookline Village MBTA stop she noticed a subject on the other side of the lot. The subject followed behind her, grabbed her arm, and demanded her to give him all her money. He repeated this a few more times. The victim describes the suspect as a very thin black man, 5”5, wearing a very dark neon orange T-shirt, and dark jeans. His hair was cropped short and appeared to be in his late 20’s.

Breaking and Entering

· Occurred between 6:15 pm and 8:15 pm at 67 Harvard St.

Victim reports that the passenger side window of the vehicle was pushed down and her radio had been tampered with. Nothing was reported stolen

September 24th Police Reports

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred between 6:00PM (9/23) and 7:47AM (9/24) – 320 Washington St

Office director for the Mass. Rehabilitation Commission reports that upon returning to work in the morning he observed that the front door had been pried open. There were visible scrape marks on the inside of the door and the lock was found on the floor. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Breaking and Entering MV

  • Occurred between 7:45PM (9/23) and 8:46AM (9/24) – 227 Cypress St

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that his front passenger window had been smashed. He noticed that the glove compartment had been tampered with and that his wallet that contained various cards was missing. Nothing else appeared to be missing.

  • Occurred between 11:30PM (9/23) and 8:45 (9/24) – 227 Cypress St

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that his front passenger side window had been smashed and that seven dollars in quarters had been taken from his center console.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 4:20PM (9/24) and 4:30PM (9/24) – 234 Harvard St

Store owner reports that one of his employees was taking lunch in back of the store and had left the front register unattended. During this time someone entered the store and stole both rolls of Lucky Shamrocks and Happy Birthday scratch ticket batches. The tickets are kept in a plastic dividing case located behind the register counter at the front of the store.

September 24th Police Reports

Summons

  • Occurred at 12:46AM (9/24)-1321 Beacon Street

Police on patrol noticed a vehicle traveling very slowly and constantly drifting over the marked lanes of the roadway. The officer’s who were driving behind this vehicle with their windows down, could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After pulling the vehicle over and approaching the drivers side window officers were overwhelmed with the smell of burnt marijuana. A subsequent search yelled a bag of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The driver will be summonsed to court for Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana), operating a Motor Vehicle while Not Duly licensed, and a Marked Lanes Violation.

Attempted Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 7PM (9/23) and 10:30AM (9/24)- 223 St Paul Street

Victim reports that sometime overnight a suspect had tried to gain entry into her apartment through two different windows. A neighbor of the victim reported a similar incident happening about a month ago, this case is still under investigation.

Bad Check

  • Occurred between 11:28PM (9/24) and 12:41AM (9/25)- 1195 Boylston Street

A CVS employee called police to report that a customer had bought items with a fake American Express Travelers Check. The amount of the fraudulent check was $100. The suspect is described as a white female in her mid 20’s with dirty blonde hair worn in a pony tail. She was last seen wearing a beige short sleeve shirt with grey Capri pants and shower shoes.
