TRESPASSING

Officers responded to Beacon St for an unwanted person. The perpetrator was arrested.

Tuesday, December 16

THEFT

Officers were called to Beacon St for a report of a larceny. An individual was seen rummaging through purses and taking money out of them.

PACKAGE THEFT

Officers responded to Park St for a report of a past package theft. The package was delivered to the unsecured foyer and was gone by the time the victim went to pick it up.

FRAUD

Officers took a report where the reporting party stated they received a text from an unknown number claiming it was in regards to their Apple account. It warned that false charges had been applied to the account and that they needed to buy several gift cards.

Wednesday, December 17

ANIMAL BITE

Officers took a report where the reporting party stated they were walking their dog when a second dog ran up to her and bit her in the leg. The owner of the second dog was issued a By Law Citation.

THEFT

Officers took a report for a theft of an item. The reporting party stated they agreed to purchase an item through Facebook Marketplace and sent money through Venmo. However, the seller has not given over the item.

FRAUD

Officers took a report where the reporting party stated they received a call from an unknown number claiming to be Apple's Fraud Division. The caller stated there was suspicious activity on their account and transferred them to a "bank" employee, who then requested the victim deposit money into a Bitcoin Exchange.

ANIMAL VIOLATION

Officers responded to the area of Kent St and Webster St for a report of a loose dog. The dog was returned home, and the owner issued a By Law Citation.

FALSE PRETENSE

Officers took a report where they received a call from someone who identified themselves falsely as a lieutenant of the Cambridge Police Department. The caller stated the victim had a non compliant jury summons and would be arrested unless they paid fines through gift cards.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

Officers responded to Columbia St for a report of a suspicious person in a residential driveway. Nothing further at this time.

Thursday, December 18

GRAFFITI

Officers took a report of graffiti found on Harvard St.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE

Officers took a report of malicious damage done to a gate on Washington St.

LOST PROPERTY

Officers took a report of missing license plates.

SHOPLIFTING

Officers were called to Harvard St for a report of shoplifting.

Friday, December 19

CAR BREAK

Officers were dispatched to Stetson St for a report of a car break. An individual attempted to open a locked vehicle.

FRAUD

Officers took a report of fraudulent real-estate brokers. The victims reported that they were in a deal with a seller and a broker was managing the sale of a property. 

PACKAGE THEFT

Officers were called to Harvard St for a report of a package theft. The package had been delivered to a secured foyer and was gone by the time the victim went to collect it.

CAR BREAK

Officers took a report of a past car break. The reporting party stated that they were alerted to an individual attempting to gain access to their locked vehicle in the middle of the night.

FRAUD

Officers took a report where the reporting party shared they clicked on a pop-up link and attempted to purchase an item online. They entered their banking information and later noticed fraudulent charges on their account.

Saturday, December 20

FRAUD 

Officers took a report, where the reporting party stated they engaged in a financial trading app that turned out to be fraudulent.

PACKAGE THEFT

Officers were called to Beacon St for a report of a package theft. The package was delivered to the unsecured vestibule and was gone by the time they went to collect it.

THEFT

Officers took a report of theft of jewelry from a residence.

Sunday, December 21

SHOPLIFTING

Officers were called to Commonwealth Av for a report of shoplifting.

PACKAGE THEFT

Officers took a report of a past package theft. The reporting party stated that they received several packages that were stolen from the unsecured foyer of their building.
