August 28th Police Reports

Burglary

  • Occurred between 9:00AM (8/27) and 6:00PM (8/27) – 100 Cottage St

Victim reports that upon returning home she observed that her rear kitchen window and screen had been forced opened. After entering her home she noticed that her TV had been removed from her upstairs den and that an old purse had been rummaged through. Nothing else appeared to be missing.

  • Occurred between 11:30AM (8/28) and 11:41AM (8/28) – 17 Monmouth Ct

Officers investigating a burglary stopped a man fitting the description of a suspect who had just broken into a home. After questioning the individual, further investigation revealed that the suspect had a bundle of assorted jewelry items on him that were positively identified as being the jewelry stolen from the home. He was placed under arrest and charged with breaking and entering.

  • Occurred between 10:30AM (8/28) and 6:30PM (8/28) – 46 Carlton St

Victims reported that upon returning home they observed that their kitchen window screen had been forced opened and that several items had been taken. Items missing included a Dell laptop, jewelry taken from assorted jewelry boxes, and $50 dollars in cash. Nothing else appeared to be missing.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 1:00PM (8/26) and 1:30PM (8/26) – 19 Foster St

Victim states that he went to retrieve his bicycle from the front foyer area of his apartment building when he observed that it was missing. He states that the foyer area has a locked and secured front door. The bicycle is described as a Gray Mongoose valued at approximately $180.

August 27th Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10:00PM (8/18) and 1:35PM (8/24) – 76 Goodnough Rd

Reporting party states that he noticed that 10 bottles of wine were missing from his father’s wine cellar. There was no sign of forced entry and nothing else appeared to be missing from the house.

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 2:00PM (8/26) and 4:19PM (8/26) – 1 Walnut Path (Town Hall)

Reporting party states that she found graffiti written on a wall of the Town Hall building. The word “FAME” was written with black paint/ marker in 2’ foot lettering.

August 26th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 9:51PM (8/26) – Washington St

Officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance of several individuals arguing loudly. Upon arrival officers were directed to an apartment where they observed two females and a male engaged in a heated argument. After questioning the individuals’ police arrested the male suspect and charged him with domestic assault and battery.

  • Occurred at 11:22PM (8/26) – River Rd/ Riverdale

An officer on patrol observed an individual riding a bicycle who matched the description of a suspect the department is interested in for a series of residential burglaries in town. After stopping the individual further investigation revealed that he had an active warrant. He was placed under arrest.

August 25, 2008 Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8::42PM (8/25) – Boylston/ Reservoir RD

An officer on patrol observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. After stopping the vehicle for a traffic violation further investigation revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended. Driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle after suspension and given a citation for both speeding and for being in possession of a false I.D.

Indecent Exposure

  • Occurred at 2:39PM (8/25) – 1101 Beacon St

Officers were dispatched to a report of an indecent exposure. The victim reports that as she was walking to the ladies restroom she observed a white male jumping up and down with his pants down exposing himself. The man was described as having light hair and was wearing a white t-shirt and white pants.

Breaking and Entering/Larceny MV

  • Occurred between 2:00PM (8/24) – 1856 Beacon St

The victim reports that someone entered his vehicle and stole approximately 20 CDs. There were no signs of forced entry since the vehicle was left unlocked.

Fraud

  • Occurred at 12:00AM (8/25) – Claflin Rd

The reporting party states that he received a telephone call from his bank advising him of suspicious activity on his debit card. Further investigation revealed that six transactions totaling $7393.10 was posted to his account, most made at Altharhani Jewelry. He confirmed that he had made none of these purchases and has contacted his bank.

August 22nd – 24th Police Reports

Burglary

  • Occurred between 12:00PM (8/20) and 11:00AM (8/22) – 123 Freeman St

Reporting party states that he placed his portable generator in his locked storage facility in the shared basement of his residence. When he returned to the basement a few days later he observed that both door lock hinges were broken from the basement door and that his generator had been stolen. The generator is a Honda P-2000, valued at $1200 dollars. During the incident it appears that the suspect(s) shattered and damaged an original photographic artwork valued at $500 dollars.

  • Occurred between 11:48PM (8/24) – 68 Egmont St

Victim reports that when he returned home he observed that his front door was slightly opened. After entering the apartment he noticed that several items were missing. Items missing included a Macbook Pro 2008 laptop computer valued at $1,999, a Sansa MP-3 Player valued at $100, an older model IBM ThinkPad computer and a black Kelty Backpack valued at $35.00 containing a U.S passport and a social security card.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 4:16PM (8/24) – 740 Boylston St

Police on patrol observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. After stopping the vehicle for a traffic violation further investigation revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended. Driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle after suspension and given a citation for speeding.

  • Occurred at 3:18PM (8/22) – Sewall Ave

Officer on patrol observed two male individuals suspiciously walking back and forth on Sewall Ave. After approaching them further investigation revealed that both individuals had a lengthy criminal history and that one had an active warrant. He was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 8:00PM (8/24) – Beacon St

Officers were dispatched to a report of some individuals engaging in suspicious activity in a basement. Upon arrival police meet with one of the suspects who confessed that he was using an illegal substance. He was placed under arrest for possession of a class E substance. His friend who was also present on scene was arrested for knowingly being present where the substance was kept.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 6:38PM (8/21) and 8:00AM (8/22) – 1902 Beacon St

Reporting party states that sometime overnight someone damaged his vehicle. He observed a large crack in the windshield, and a dent in the hood of the vehicle. After looking around his parking space he observed a large rock on the ground where he had parked his vehicle.

  • Occurred at 7:10PM (8/22) – 5 Davis Ave

Reporting party states that upon returning to his parked vehicle he observed that someone had spilled dark green paint on his license plate, tail gate and on his rear bumper. There was also paint found on the right rear quarter panel. It appears that the paint was thrown on the vehicle.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 4:00PM (8/21) and 6:36PM (8/22) – Center St (Farmers Market)

Victim states that she was at the market when she placed her bag’s down beside her to purchase some items. After she was done paying for her goods she went to retrieve her bags when she observed that one of her them was missing. The bag is described as a plastic Wal-Mart bag that contained some tea, paper goods, and personal documents.

  • Occurred between 12:00PM (8/22) and 8:00AM (8/23) – 1140 Boylston St

Reporting party states that sometime overnight someone stole her large hanging white flag which had a picture of a lobster on it. The flag was mounted to her porch. The flag is valued at approximately $55.00. The flag bracket was also damaged.

Breaking and Entering MV

  • Occurred between 5:30AM (8/23) and 8:30AM (8/23) – 3 Englewood Ave

Victim reports that when he returned to his vehicle he observed that his passenger side front window had been broken. Victim observed that his Sony portable GPS system valued at $250.00 which was suctioned to the dashboard was stolen and a Verizon Dare cell phone valued at $250.00 was taken from the center console.

Motor Vehicle Theft

  • Occurred between 5:30PM (8/22) and 5:44PM (8/24) – 51 John St

Reporting party states that sometime overnight her vehicle was stolen from her assigned parking spot at her parking lot. She states that her vehicle was locked and that she was in possession of her keys.

Found Property

  • Occurred between 8:00AM (5/15) and 9:51AM (8/22) – 115 Greenough St

Town Officials retrieved two bicycles that were left abandoned at racks located at Brookline High School. For retrieval please contact the Brookline Police Department.

August 21st Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:00AM (8/20) and 6:30AM (8/21) – 67 Powell St

Victim reports that his wicker chair was removed from his property. The chair is described as being approximately 7’ in height, 25lbs in weight and brown colored. The chair is valued at $1,200.

Arrest

  • Occurred between 5:30AM (8/21) and 6:20PM (8/21) – Aspinwall Ave/ Harvard St

Officers were dispatched to a report of a car accident. Upon arrival officers approached the drivers and observed a strong odor of alcohol coming from one of them. Further investigation revealed that the driver was operating under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with following too closely and operating under the influence.

  • Occurred at 12:35AM (8/21) – Chestnuthill Ave

Officer on patrol noticed a vehicle in an empty parking lot of a closed business. After approaching the vehicle the officer was met by two individuals. During questioning the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. One individual was arrested after further investigation revealed a warrant out for his arrest. Both individuals will be summoned to court for possession of a Class C and D Substance.

August 20th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 10:12PM (8/20) – Harvard St

Officers were dispatched to a report of an intoxicated male subject attempting to start his motor scooter. Upon arrival the officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from the suspect and asked the suspect to turn his motor vehicle off. He was placed under arrest and charged with operating under the influence, possession a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery on a P.O.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6:45PM (8/19) and 5:30AM (8/20) – 15 Parkville

Victim reports that he had parked his vehicle at night in his assigned parking stop. When he approached his vehicle in the morning he observed that all four tires of his vehicle were missing. He also observed four milk crates crushed under his car which appeared to have been used to prop the vehicle up.

Assault

  • Occurred at 11:31AM (8/20) – 1319 Beacon St

A security employee reports that as he was walking back to work he was approached and confronted by a male suspect. Employee contacted the police when the suspect became aggressive, making several threatening remarks. Police responded to the incident and suspect will be summoned to court on a hearing for assault.

August 19th Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10:30PM (8/12) and 1:00AM (8/19) – 587 Washington St

Reporting party states that his moped which he locked in the front of the house with a black kryptonite lock was stolen. The moped is described as a silver Yamaha C3 which has a missing right reflector. The moped is valued at $2100.

  • Occurred at 4:25PM (8/19) – 1324 Beacon St (Walgreens)

Employee reports that she observed the suspect put eyeglasses, four eyeglass cases, and eye drops in her purse. Suspect has been caught taking things from the store in the past and is forbidden to return to the store.

  • Occurred 10:30AM (8/18) and 6:45AM (8/19) – 90 Babcock St

Victim reports that after backing out of his driveway he felt as though he had a flat tire. After examining the vehicle he observed that every tire of his vehicle had four out of five lug nuts stolen. Total damage reported at $1100.

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred between 3:00AM (8/16) and 4:00AM (8/16) – 118 Babcock St

Victim reports that sometime overnight she heard tapping on her window. After a couple of minutes she heard a loud noise in the kitchen and shortly after a white male entered her room and then left her home via the front door. It appeared that the suspect had entered through the front kitchen window. The white male is described as being in his late 20’s, 5’10, medium build, wearing a white, yellow and red baseball hat. Victim stated that the man slurred his words and appeared to be intoxicated.

Found Property

  • Occurred at 7:11PM (8/19) – Washington Ave/ Pond Ave

A men’s bicycle was found in the woods along the muddy river. For retrieval please contact the Brookline Police Department

Fraud

  • Occurred at between (7/31) and 3:31PM (8/19) – Winthrop Rd

Victim reports that she received a call from a debt collector who stated that he was seeking payment of $2240.68 for a credit card account which was four months overdue. Victim stated that she had never opened an account with Tribute Master Card and that the information used to open those accounts did not belong to her.

August 18th Police Reports

Robbery

  • Occurred between 3:30PM (8/18) and 3:47PM (8/18) – 278 Harvard St

Store owner reports that a male suspect entered his store with a female companion. While inside the store, the male suspect picked up two pairs of sunglasses and fled with the female. The owner described the white male to be in his twenties wearing a brown zipped jacket. The female is described as having slicked black hair and tight jeans.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 5:00PM (8/12) and 8:00AM (8/13) – Webster St

A travel agency employee reports that she received a phone call to purchase airline tickets. The caller identified himself as a past customer and purchased ten tickets in the amount of $17,500. She was later notified by the credit card company that all these transactions were fraudulent.

  • Occurred between 5:00PM (8/12) and 8:00AM (8/13) – Chestnut St

Victim reports that someone had used her personal information and removed money from her Paypal account. After receiving three emails confirming purchases made to her account that she did not approve, she called her bank and froze her accounts.

August 15th - 17th Police Reports

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 2:00PM (8/15) and 6:00PM (8/15) – 294 Harvard St

Victim reports that upon returning to his vehicle after work he observed a large scratch on the passenger side door, approximately 2’ feet long.

Occurred between 2:26AM (8/17) and 2:28AM (8/17) – Clyde St/ Newton St

Officer on patrol noticed a pole with an attached directional sign bent flat on the ground. The pole showed damage indicating that it had been struck by a motor vehicle.

Graffiti

Occurred between 9:00AM (8/09) and 8:00PM (8/09) – 241 Kent St

Reporting party states that he observed graffiti written on the rear wall of his property. He observed in large letters the word “Shone” and the letters “sh” written on the wall.

Burglary

Occurred between 7:00PM (8/14) and 10:00AM (8/15) – 68 Harvard St

Victim reports that sometime overnight his office window had been smashed. It appeared that the suspect smashed the window in an attempt to open the door from the inside. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Occurred between 2:00PM (8/15) and 4:00PM (8/15) – 11 James St

Reporting party returned home to find that her neighbor’s door had been smashed in. Officers observed that the front door had been forced opened and upon entering the apartment it appeared that areas inside the house had been disturbed/ tampered with.

Occurred between 8:30AM (8/15) and 4:30PM (8/15) – 27 Longwood Ave

Victim reports that she returned home and saw that her front door was wide open. After entering her home she observed that several items from her bedroom drawers had been taken. Items missing included several assorted silver chains, a pearl necklace and a palm pilot valued at $300.

Arrest

Occurred at 4:57PM (8/15) - Washington St/ Huntington Ave

Officer on patrol pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred at 11:28AM - Hammond St/ Laurel Rd

Officer on patrol pulled over a vehicle for operating with an expired inspection sticker. Further investigation revealed that the driver was operating with a suspended license. She was placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred between 9:00AM (8/17) and 9:36AM (8/17) – Winchester St

Police were dispatched to a report of a domestic assault and battery. Upon arrival police meet with the victim who reported that she was engaged in a verbal confrontation with her husband when he became aggressive and struck her twice. He was later arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault and battery.

Larceny

Occurred between 8:00AM (8/14) and 6:00PM (8/15) – 18 Salisbury Rd

Victim states that upon returning home he observed that the back yard gate had been opened. He then entered his garage and saw that two of his bicycles had been taken. The first bicycle is a yellow and blue Trek 3000 with a twist combination lock on the top cross bar. The second bicycle taken was a Blue Gary Fisher which had some rust on the handle bars. The bicycles are valued at approximately $250 each.

August 14th Police Reports

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 4:00PM (8/14) and 10:38PM (8/14) – 1284 Beacon St

Victim reports that she returned to her parked vehicle and found scratch marks on the hood.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 12:00AM (08/08) and 12:00AM (8/13) – High St

Victim states she sold a futon on Craig list for $250 and received a check from the buyer. Upon reviewing the check, she saw that it was made out for more money than she asked for. She contacted the buyer who instructed her to deposit the check into her account and return $3000 in cash via money gram, which she did. She was notified later that the check the buyer had given her had bounced.

August 13th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:08PM (8/13) – Pond Ave

Police responded to a report of an assault and battery. After arriving on scene officers met with the victim who reported that she was at her friend’s apartment when he got agitated and attacked her. He is being charged with several counts of A&B, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct.

  • Occurred between 7:15PM (8/13) and 7:35PM (8/13) – 525 Harvard St (TJ Maxx)

Police on patrol stopped a man matching the description of an individual who just walked out of TJ Maxx with a stolen Tote sports gear backpack. After officers approached the man he took off and fled. Police were able to detain the suspect and place him under arrest. He was charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property.

  • Occurred at 5:11PM (8/13) – 525 Harvard St (TJ Maxx)

Employee reports that he saw the suspect walk into the store and observed him put several boxes of Ralph Lauren Safari cologne into a gray bag. Security was able to detain the suspect and after looking in the bag found 9 bottles of various fragrances totaling $195.91. Suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10:30AM (8/13) and 11:30AM (8/13) – 714 Washington St

Victim reports that his bicycle was taken from the rear bike rack of his vehicle. The bicycle is a red Enduro Sl men’s mountain bike valued at $7000.

August 12th Police Reports

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 8:55AM (8/05) and 5:15PM (8/07) – 20 Chapel St

Victim reports that she parked her vehicle at a parking garage on Tuesday (8/05) and upon returning to her vehicle that same day she observed a hole approximately 5 inches long on her right passenger side fender. Later in the week the victim parked in the same garage and returned to find that her car had a scratch on the front bumper.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 11:22PM (8/12) – Washington St

Officers on patrol pulled a vehicle over for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver was driving with a suspended license. He was placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

August 8th - 10th Police Reports

Graffiti Law

  • Occurred between 1:00AM (8/08) and 6:00AM (8/08) – High St

Reporting party states that sometime in the early morning someone painted graffiti on the side of her apartment building. The letters “BSB” and “Scovv” were written on the wall with blue paint. The letters “BSB” were also written on the side of a dumpster opposite her building.

  • Occurred between 8:30PM (8/08) and 7:30AM (8/09) – 50 Winchester St

Owner reports that sometime overnight someone gain access to the locked front foyer of his building and sprayed painted the interior lobby doors, mirrors and two paintings with red paint.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 1:00PM (8/08) and 6:00PM (8/08) Reservoir Rd/ Heath St

Victim reports that after returning to her vehicle she observed that the right rear side window had been smashed. Nothing appeared to be missing.

  • Occurred between 8:30PM (8/08) and 3:45PM (8/09) – 210 Middlesex Rd

Police were dispatched to a report of damage done to a vehicle. Upon arrival police observed inappropriate words scratched into the paint on the front hood of the car.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 6:23PM (8/09) – 900 Commonwealth Ave (CVS)

Store employee reports that he observed an individual enter the store and walk straight into the skin and hair products aisle. He then observed the suspect conceal 8 bottles of various shampoos and conditioners into a bag and start walking towards the door. Suspect was stopped and later placed under arrest for shoplifting.

  • Occurred between 7:00AM (8/08) and 6:58AM (8/09) – 46 Hallwood Rd

Victim reports that sometime overnight 3 copper downspouts that were attached to his garage had been stolen.

  • Occurred between 4:00PM (8/09) and 11:34PM ( 8/09) – 166 Thorndike St

Victim reports that his son’s silver Treck Mountain bike was stolen from the foyer area of his apartment. The bike was placed on the first floor, and was secured on the railing with a Kryptonite lock. There were several pry marks found on the front door of the foyer area.

Burglary

  • Occurred at 12:18PM (8/10) – 599 Brookline Ave (Lynch Center)

Officers responded to a business alarm that had been triggered. Upon arrival officers observed that the side door’s window panel had been smashed in and the door was slightly opened. Nothing appeared to be missing from the center.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:50PM (8/10) – Thornton Rd

Officers responded to a call of a dispute. When they arrived they talked to a male individual who reported that he and his wife had an argument and that sometime during the dispute she had punched him in the face. She was placed under arrest for domestic assault and battery.

  • Occurred at 1:01AM (8/08) – Kent St

Officers responded to a complaint of a dispute occurring at a parking lot. Upon arrival officers met with a witness that reported seeing a male and female arguing next to a vehicle and observed the man hit and damage the vehicle. The man was placed under arrest for domestic assault and battery and malicious destruction of property.

August 7th Police Reports

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 12:58AM (8/07) and 1:00AM (8/07) – 207 Russett Rd

Victim reports that he was awaken by the sound of shattering glass. He went downstairs and discovered that the window to the dining room had been shattered. He found a rock on the floor next to the window.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:49AM (8/07) – Harvard St/ Stedman St

Police officer who was directing traffic observed a car traveling at high speed. After motioning the car to pull over the driver refused and drove away taking an illegal right turn down a one – way. Shortly after the driver was pulled over. Driver was placed under arrest for negligent operation, failure to stop for an officer, speeding and a one way violation.

  • Occurred at 2:45AM (8/07) – Jamaica Way

Officer on patrol observed a vehicle swerving in its lane. After stopping the vehicle officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from the car. Driver was placed under arrest for operating under the influence and possession of a Class D substance.

August 6th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred between 1:25AM (8/06) and 1:47AM (8/06) – Boylston St

Officer on patrol observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. After stopping the driver further investigation revealed that the driver’s right to operate a motor vehicle had been suspended. Driver was placed under arrest and charged with operating after suspension. He was also given a citation for speeding.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 3:30PM (7/30) and 8:00AM (7/31) – 27 Francis St

Camp coordinator reports that she had placed a digital camera on top of a desk in the director’s office. After returning to work the next morning she noticed that the camera was missing. The camera was a Sony Cyber Shot valued at $250.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 6:30PM (8/05) and 1:38PM (8/06) – 845 Boylston St

Victim reports that he received a call telling him that the far left garage door of his gas station was wide open. After returning to his business he entered through the garage door and discovered that the rear window had been smashed. He stated that when he left he had locked the garage door. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Breaking and Entering/ Larceny MV

  • Occurred between 7:00PM (8/04) and 11:30PM (8/04) – Brookline Ave/ River Rd

Victim reported that sometime in the late afternoon the front passenger window of his vehicle had been smashed. Missing is a Magellan GPS system valued at $250.

Found Property

  • Occurred between 12:30PM (7/31) and 11:09AM (8/05) – 32 Harvard St

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 2:00PM (8/01) and 6:00AM (8/04) – 64 Westbourne Tr. (Driscoll School)

School employee reports that the window screen over the cafeteria door at the rear of the school was damaged. Several rocks were found in front of the door.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:43AM (8/04) – 774 Boylston St

Officer on patrol observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. After stopping the vehicle the officer noticed a strong odor coming from the car. Driver was placed under arrest for possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 12:00PM (7/04) and 12:00PM (7/08) – Washington St

Victim who regularly monitors his online account observed several unauthorized purchases made to his account. A printout of his account showed 16 separate charges totaling $799.46 that were not made by him.

August 1st – 3rd Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 5:20PM and 5:45PM – 300 Harvard St (The Gap)

Employee observed suspect rip sales tags off several pieces of clothing articles and put them into her bag. Police recovered eight Gap clothing articles from her purse. Suspect was charged with shoplifting.

  • Occurred between 5:00PM (8/01) and 7:00PM (8/01) – 1 Pierce Playground

Victim reports that she had left her bag with some friends at Pierce Playground and after returning to retrieve it she observed her cell phone was missing. The phone is a white “Chocolat” phone valued at $200.

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred between 10:00PM and 8:30AM – 100 Goddard Ave

Victim reports that sometime overnight someone attempted to break into her house via the second floor bedroom window. Two pry marks were found in the frame of the window.

  • Occurred between 5:00PM (7/31) and 9:45AM (8/01) – 1871 Beacon Street

Victim reports that upon arriving home she noticed that the blinds on one of her front windows was disturbed and found a partial footprint on the same window sill. There was also an indention on the lower end of her bed as if someone had sat at the edge of it. Nothing appeared to be missing.

  • Occurred at 12:21PM (8/01) – 39 Auburn St

Police were dispatched to a report of someone screaming in front of a building. After arriving on scene, police were notified by a tenant that a man who did not live there had entered the building via the basement. After entering the basement the suspect fled the scene leaving behind a backpack. Suspect is described as a white middle – aged male, with black long hair worn in a ponytail, wearing a red and black stripped shirt and black shorts.

Graffiti Law

  • Occurred between 10:00PM (8/02) and 10:50AM (8/03) – Lawton St

Reporting party states that sometime overnight graffiti was written on the side of his building. The word “dawg” was spray painted in bubble letters in the color black.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 6:30PM (8/02) – Commonwealth Ave/ Pleasant St

Officer on patrol recognized a familiar party and after running a check it was revealed that the suspect had several outstanding warrants. He was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred between 10:11AM (7/31) and 1:30PM (7/31) – Washington St

Victim reported that she received several threatening messages from her neighbor who she is testifying against in behalf of a past assault and battery. Police arrested the neighbor and charged her with stalking, and intimidating a witness.

  • Occurred at 1:09AM (8/01) – Boylston St/ Lee St

Police on patrol observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speed and pulled it over. Further investigation revealed that the driver’s right to operate a motor vehicle had been suspended and that he was in possession of an illegal substance. Driver was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 12:48AM (8/01) – Harvard St/ Kent St

Officers on patrol observed a vehicle operating without its headlights on. Further investigation revealed that the driver did not have a license to operate a motor vehicle. Driver was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 12:08AM (8/02) – Harvard St

Officer on patrol observed an individual urinating in an alleyway. After stopping the suspect further investigation revealed that he was underage and under the influence of alcohol as well as in possession of an illegal substance. He was placed under arrest and charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol and for possession of a class B and D substance.

Breaking and Entering MV

  • Occurred between 9:00AM (8/01) and 2:30PM (8/02) – 186 Naples Rd

Victim stated that he had parked his vehicle in the rear lot of his building in the morning and after returning in the afternoon he noticed that his rear hatch door was partly open. He observed that his sub woofer and amplifier were unplugged and missing from the back of his vehicle.

July 31st Police reports

Graffiti Law

  • Occurred between 8:00PM (7/30) and 10:30PM (7/31) – 123 Harvard St

Reporting party states that his William Piano Company vehicle had been vandalized with graffiti. Several tags including “AYCE”, and “24K” were found on the vehicle. The tags were all sprayed with black paint.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 7:30AM (7/23) and 2:30PM (7/23) – 115 Greenborough St

Victim reports that after returning to his vehicle he observed several scratches that appeared to have been made by a key or some other sharp object. The scratches were located on the driver’s side front panel and door.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:32AM (7/31) – Washington St/ Pond Ave

Officer’s on patrol observed a vehicle traveling with its driver’s side headlight out. Further investigation revealed that the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and was placed under arrest.
