10:28am: A vehicle was reported broken into on Gerry Road. Money and a GPS were stolen. A report was taken.

6:15pm: A man was arrested at a traffic stop at the intersection of Harvard Street and Beacon Street for driving while not duly licensed.

6:21pm: A larceny was reported on Beacon Street. Two packages were stolen from a residence. A report was taken.

6:31pm: A man was arrested at the intersection of Longwood Ave and Sewall Ave for a default warrant and driving with a suspended license.

4/17/2016
8:58am: The breaking and entering of a motor vehicle was reported on Middlesex Road. The crime is believed to have occurred the previous evening and there were no signs of forced entry. A report was taken.

1:37pm: A car was reported broken into on Beacon Street. No signs of forced entry were found. A report was taken.

3:12pm: Multiple vehicles were broken into on Circuit Road overnight. These cases are believed to be linked and are under investigation.

7:00pm: A man was arrested at a traffic stop at the intersection of Harvard Street and Green Street for driving with a suspended license.

8:48pm: An employee of a local business on Harvard Street reported the theft of several items from their backpack. A report was taken.

8:22pm: A motor vehicle was reported stolen on Bowker Street. The car was left unlocked in a driveway and it is believed the theft occurred earlier in the afternoon. The matter is under investigation.

2:56pm: A man was arrested after officers caught him with stolen property. He has been taken into custody on several charges related to package theft.

9:35pm: A man was arrested at a traffic stop on Webster Street for reckless driving and Operating Under the Influence.

7:28pm: A residence on Aspinwall Ave was reported as broken into. A report was taken and the matter is under investigation.

8:35pm: A vehicle was reported broken into on Highland Road earlier in the week. No signs of forced entry were found. A report was taken.

8:22am: A breaking and entering was reported at a business on Commonwealth Ave. Money was taken from the registers overnight. The case is under investigation and a report was taken.

1:36pm: A woman was arrested on Beacon Street in connection with a shoplifting.

11:04am: A man was arrested for a shoplifting that occurred on Beacon Street. Officers located the suspect on scene and placed him into custody.

12:25pm: A bike theft occurred on Edgehill Road. It was in an open garage at the time of theft. A report was taken.

5:13pm: A bicycle was stolen from a residence on Dean Road. The bike was located in an open garage and was not locked at the time of theft. A report was taken.

5:47pm: A larceny was reported on Beacon Street. Items were stolen from a purse earlier in the afternoon. A report was taken.

Indecent Assault of Local College Student

Officers responded to the area of  Saint Paul St. and Dummer St.  late on Thursday evening for a report of a sexual assault. Units arrived and assisted the victim, who stated Wednesday at approximately 0145hrs, while walking home from a local establishment on Comm Ave. she was approached by a male suspect at the front door of her residence on St Paul Street The victim did not see where the individual came from or notice him following her. The suspect initiated conversation, but the victim informed the suspect to leave her alone. The suspect did not comply, and the victim , while trying to gain entry into the vestibule of her building, was grabbed and indecently assaulted by the suspect. The victim was able to break free and fled to her apartment, suffering minor injuries.  The suspect is described as:

Light skinned male in his mid 20's to 30's, with dark colored hair and facial hair. Suspect is between 5'9-5'10, unknown weight, unknown clothingno distinct characteristics,. Victim had never seen suspect before, and was unable to determine direction of flight.

7:08am: A bicycle was reported stolen on Beaconsfield Road. The bike was locked and taken with bolt cutters. An abandoned bike not belonging to the caller, which was not there previously, was found at the scene. A report was taken.

4:57pm: A shoplifting was reported at a business on Beacon Street. A suspect was caught and will be summonsed to court.

5:43pm: Tools were reported stolen from a work crew on Linden Place. The area was searched and a report was taken.

3/19/2016
1:12pm: Two vehicles were reported broken into on University Road, believed to have occurred the night before. Both vehicles were unlocked at the time. A report was taken.

3/20/2016
10:47am: A package was stolen from a residence on Stearns Road. Evidence was collected and a report was taken.

5:05pm: A man was arrested on Harvard Street after stealing from a tip jar at a local business. Officers located the man as he was walking away from the scene and took him into custody.

6:09pm: A backpack was reported stolen from a business on Beacon Street. Camera footage was recovered and a report was taken.

11:49pm: A breaking and entering was reported on Crowninshield Road. The suspect reportedly entered the home, but fled when confronted by the home owner. Officers found no signs of forced entry and no items were reported missing. The matter is under investigation.

9:21am: A man was arrested at a traffic stop at the intersection of Harvard Street and Webster Street for driving with a suspended license.

10:57am: A man was arrested at a traffic stop on Harvard Street for a default warrant related to a prior offense.

4:08pm: A shoplifting in progress was reported on Commonwealth Ave. Officers responded and arrested a suspect who was located nearby. Stolen goods were found in their possession and recovered.

3/12/2016
8:43am: The breaking and entering of a motor vehicle was reported on Walnut Street. The break-in was believed to have occurred sometime over the previous week, and a report was taken.

10:23pm: Two bikes were reported stolen on Mason Terrace. One bike was locked and the second was reportedly unlocked. A report was taken and the matter is under investigation.

7:56am: A man was arrested at a traffic stop on Newton Street for driving without a license.

8:24am: A past burglary was reported on Cutler Lane. Jewelry was reported missing. The matter is under investigation and a report was taken.

4:39pm: A resident on Lawton Street reported a theft at their home. Items were taken from their residence, possibly by a hired cleaner. A report was taken.

3/14/2016
4:04pm: Two bikes were reported stolen from a residence on Westbourne Terrace. Both bikes had locks, which were found to be cut. A report was taken.

6:59pm: Multiple subjects were arrested at a traffic stop, with a possible connection to previous break-ins. Please see the last blog entry for more details.

3-14-16                                 Arrests
As a result of several burglaries throughout the town an officer stopped 3 subjects in the area of Coolidge St. The stop led to the arrest of 3 subjects for the following offenses:
Possession of Burglarious Tools
Conspiracy to Commit a Felony  Breaking and Entering
Warrant Arrest
One of these subjects has been the suspect in a month long investigation for 18 Burglaries committed in the Town of Brookline
