School Bus Crash

Today at 8:08 AM Dispatch received a call by a passing motorist reporting a school bus had struck a pole on Chestnut Hill Avenue near Boylston Street. The bus is a Boston School bus, carrying 5 young students, believed to be under the age of eight. One student was transported to Children’s Hospital, for minor injuries, the driver was transported to Beth Israel Hospital for minor injuries. A second bus was dispatched to pick up the students; one parent had arrived on scene to take their child. The students attend a public school in Brighton. The bus has a camera system and Police have requested a copy of the video to help them determine what happened. The accident at this time is still under investigation.

12/16/2015-12/20/2015

On December 16th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Walnut St. for a report of a past larceny. The victim reported receiving a notification from the delivery service which stated the package had been delivered to her residence. However, on her arrival home, she noticed the package was missing.

On December 17th, an officer while on patrol noticed a vehicle with a broken tail light at the intersection of Washington and Boylston St. The officer activated his emergency blue lights and made a stop at the corner of Washington St. and Pond Ave. The officer requested the driver’s license and registration. A query of the driver’s information revealed the operator’s license was suspended. The subject was placed under arrest.

On December 17th, an officer assigned to the front desk was approached by a Brookline resident who wanted to report a past larceny.  The victim reported two packages had been delivered to her apartment building on two separate dates and both packages were missing.

On December 17th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Beacon St. for a report of a package theft. The victim reported receiving a notification from the delivery service which stated the package had been delivered. However, on her arrival home the package was missing.

On December 18^th, an officer was dispatched to Englewood Ave. for a report of a past residential Breaking and Entering. On scene, the victim reported going away for a few days and on his arrival home he noticed his apartment in disarray. The victim stated the television was the only item missing at this time. This matter is still under investigation.

On December 18^th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Thorndike St. for a report of a package theft. The victim reported receiving a notification from the delivery service that her packages had arrived; however, on her arrival home she notice there were not packages present.

On December 19^th, an officer was dispatched to a local business on Harvard St. for a report of a shoplifting in progress. On December 18^th, the officer was dispatched to the same business for a report of a shoplifting in progress from the same person; however the subject fled the scene before the officers arrived. On scene, the manager pointed out the subject who was taking items and placing them in a tote bag. The subject was placed under arrest.

On December 19^th, an officer was observed a vehicle operating on Mountfort St. and a query of the registration indicated that the registered owner of the vehicle has his license suspended. The officer activated his emergency blue lights and safely initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Commonwealth Ave. and Carlton St. The officer advised the driver as to the reason for the stop and asked the driver to step out to the rear of the vehicle.  The subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Brookline Police Station. 

12/12/2015-12/15/2015

On December 12^th, an officer assigned to the front desk of the Brookline Police was approached by a Brookline resident, who wanted to report a larceny from his residence that occurred sometime in late October.  The victim stated he did not report the crime earlier because he felt his children misplaced the electronic tablet. There was no sign of forced entry.

On December 12^th, an officer was dispatched to a possibly breaking and entering in progress on Beech Rd. The reporting person stated he thought somebody was in his house and that he found the doors to his car open. More officers arrived and set up a perimeter around the house. A search of the house revealed nobody was there. The victim reported watching television in his basement when he heard someone walking upstairs, and he observed that his front door was still locked and assumed his family had come home. Victim searched the house and looked outside and did not see anyone; however he noticed the doors to his vehicle were open.  Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

On December 13^th, an officer was dispatched to a local business on Marion St. for a report of a past larceny. On scene, the store manager reported the night security guard he observed numerous grounding cables cut, and portions of the cables to be missing.  There was no sign of forced entry and this matter is still under investigation.

On December 14^th, an officer was dispatch to a residence on Tappan St. for a past report of a stolen package. The victim reported receiving a notification from the delivery service that her package had arrived; however, on her arrival home she noticed the package was missing.

On December 15^th, an officer was dispatched to a local business on Harvard St. for a report of a shoplifting.  On scene the reported person stated a female subject was in the back of the store and observed the woman grab a pair of pants and stuff them into her white purse. The employee than watched her as she walked out of the store. The reporting person was about to give a description of the subject, which was broadcasted over the radio. A search of the surrounding area proved fruitless. 

Breaking and Entering Arrest

12-15-15       Arrest Breaking and Entering /Attempted Breaking and Entering
Officers responded to Thorndike St on a report that someone had just broken into a convenience store.  The suspect was described as a male wearing a black hoodie and grey beanie.  A short time later a subject fitting the description was stopped.  Further investigation, corroborating evidence, and an identification by a witness led to the arrest of the subject for Breaking and Entering. Additional charges of Attempted Breaking and Entering were filed after evidence linked the subject to another nearby commercial establishment.

12-15-15    Disorderly Arrest-Peeping
Officers responded to the area of 1090 Beacon St on a report of a suspicious male looking into apartment windows.  Officers responded and observed a subject just outside a window between 1080 and 1090 Beacon St.  Further investigation and a positive identification led to the arrest of the subject. Evidence gathered at the scene tied the subject to recent similar crimes in the area.

12/9/2015-12/10/2015

On December 9^th, an officer was dispatched to Glen Road for the report of breaking and entering with larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim reported that her belongings had been tampered with, and a GPS and sunglasses were reported stolen.

On December 9^th, an officer observed a vehicle traveling northbound on High St. fail to stop for the posted red light at the intersection with Cypress.  The officer activated his emergency blue lights and safely initiated a traffic stop, and requested the driver’s license and registration. The officer queried the driver’s information, which revealed his license was suspended. The subject was placed under arrest and transported back to the Brookline Police Station

On December 10^th,  an officer was dispatched to Mulford Street for a reported larceny. The victim said that her daughter’s violin and case were missing from a playground after being left. Officers are following up on the report and are investigating.

12/7/2015-12/8/2015

On December 7^th, an officer was dispatched a residence on Walcott Rd. for a report of a past larceny.  On scene, victim stated her house has been undergoing renovations for approximately 3 months.  The victim reported noticing a few workers who were unfamiliar and decided to check her jewelry she keeps in her drawer. She discovered several pieces of jewelry and money missing from her drawer. This matter is still under investigation.

On December 8^th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Chestnut St. for a report of a package theft. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from that his package had arrived. However, once the victim went to pick up the package was missing.

On December 8^th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Sewall Ave. for a report of an attempted larceny of a package.  The victim reported arriving home and noticing her package in the lobby of the apartment open, but the contents were still in the box. This matter is still under investigation. 

Armed Robbery and Multiple Car Breaks

An adult and two juveniles were arrested for an armed robbery by knife last evening. On Tuesday, 12-08-2015 at 18:59 hrs, Brookline Police responded to Griggs Park for  a report of an Armed Robbery. The victim stated that 6 young males had beat him up and robbed him at knife point; stolen was money, a cellphone, and  a coat.  Officers located 3 individuals a short time later near the scene of the incident and during a show up identification, the victim positively identified 3 of the individuals .  All 3 were placed under arrest and charged with Armed Robbery and Assault & Battery.

On 12/9/2015 at approximately 0230 hours an Officer stopped a bicyclist for failing to stop for a red light at the intersection of Cypress St and Washington St.  The subject refused to remove his hands from his pocket after being stopped, and was found to be in possession of several cell phones and a large amount of loose change.  Further investigation revealed several motor vehicles had been broken into in the area .  The subject was placed under arrest and charged with Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle with Intent to Commit a Felony and Receiving Stolen Property over $250.00. Police are actively investigating to determine if there is any connection to  a series of car breaks over the last several weeks.    

  

12/4/2015-12/6/2015

On December 4^th, officers were dispatched to a residence on Beacon St. for a past larceny report.  On scene, victim reported leaving his apartment around 11:25 pm on 12/3/2015. He later realized he did not have his wallet on him and believed he had dropped it. Victim retraced his steps and found the wallet in the bushes near the rear of the building. The victim reported missing a small sum of money.

On December 4^th, an officer was dispatched to Station St. for a past report of a larceny. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from a delivery service stating her package had arrived.  Upon arrival to her apartment, the victim noticed the package was missing from the foyer of the apartment.

On December 4^th, an officer was dispatched to an apartment on St. Paul St. for a report of a past theft of a cellphone. On scene, the victim reported shopping at a local grocery store and on his arrival home he realized his cellphone was missing. The victim did not recall taking the phone out while shopping, nor felt anyone reach into his pocket. This matter is still under investigation.

On December 5^th, an officer was dispatched to a resident on Monmouth St. for a report of a past larceny. The victim reported missing two plants from his back yard. The victim stated both plants were located in his back yard which is fenced in, meaning someone open the gate walked in and dug up both plants. The last time he noticed the plants was around 11/25/15.

On December 6^th, an officer while on patrol observed a vehicle traveling inbound on Beacon Street take an illegal left turn onto Pleasant Street.  The officer activated his emergency blue lights and safely initiated a traffic stop. The officer advised the operator as to the reason for the stop and requested his license and registration to which the operator provided both. A query of the individual’s information revealed his license was suspended and subject was immediately placed under arrest without incident. 

12/2/2015-12/3/2015

On December 2^nd, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Strathmore Road for a past report of a theft of a package. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from a delivery service stating his package had arrived; however, the package was missing. 

On December 2^nd, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Kent St. for a report of a package theft. On scene, the victim reported receiving an electronic notification from a delivery service stating his packages had arrived. On his arrival home, he discovered the two packages were opened and the contents had been removed.  

On December 3^rd, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Garrison Rd. for a report of past report of a package theft. On scene, the victim reported receiving an electronic notification from a delivery service stating her package had arrived. On her arrival home, she discovered the package was opened and the items had been removed. 

On December 3^rd, an officer while out on patrol on the West Roxbury Parkway, an officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed well over the post speed limit. The officer activated his emergency overhead lights and initiated a safe traffic stop on Horace James Circle. The officer advised the driver as to the reason for the stop and requested the operator’s license and registration.  A check of the driver’s information revealed she had a warrant out for her arrest. The individual was placed under arrest without incident. 

11/30/2015-12/1/2015

On November 30^th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Harvard St. for a theft at a local business. On scene, the victim stated his tablet had been removed from his seat while he briefly went into the restroom.  The store manager reported witnessing an individual remove the tablet and provided the police with a description of the subject which was broadcasted over the radio. Officers were able to locate the subject matching the description traveling on Harvard St.  The officers stopped the subject and advised him as to the reason for the stop. Officers read subject his Miranda Rights and consented to a search of his bag. The search revealed the victims tablet and the suspect was immediately placed under arrest.

On November 30^th, an officer was dispatched to an apartment on Tappan St. for a past report of an breaking and entering. On scene, the victim reported her apartment was broken into 11/25/2015-11/29/2015, while the victim and her roommate were away. Victim reported missing several handbags, jewelry, and a laptop was missing.

On December 1^st, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Beacon St. for a report of a larceny. On scene, the victim reported noticing on 11/30/2015 that several pieces of jewelry were missing from her apartment. There are no signs of forced entry, and the victim stated several people have access to her apartment and suspects on of these people have taken it.

On December 1^st, an officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Brookline Police Station for a past report of a larceny. The victim reported being a victim of a robbery that occurred on Washington St. after exited an MBTA bus. The victim reported witnessing a man from across the street run and knocked the subject to the group and grabbed her pocketbook. The victim was able to give a description of the suspect. This matter is still under investigation.

On December 1^st, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Beacon St. for a report of a package theft. On scene, the victim stated the delivery service sent her a notification that the package had arrived on 11/30/2015. On her arrive home, she noticed the package had been ripped open and the contents of the box were missing.

On December 1^st, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Stanton Rd. for a past breaking and entering. On scene the victims reported missing entering their home to find the victims bedroom had been ransacked. Victims report nothing missing at this time. This matter is still under investigation.

On December 1^st, an officer was dispatched to a residence for a report of a past breaking and entering. On scene the victim reporting leaving the house for a couple of hours to run some errands. On her arrival home, she noticed somebody had entered her home through a rear window and had taken her jewelry. This matter is still under investigation. 

11/24/2015-11/29/2015

On November 24^th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Beacon St for a report of a past package theft. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from the delivery service that her package had arrived a couple days prior; however, no package was present.

On November 25^th, an officer assigned to the front desk of the Brookline Police Department received a call from the manager of a car dealership, who wanted to speak with a detective. The reporting person was transferred to a detective and reported a customer had walked in wanting to get mechanic work done on his vehicle. The manager received a phone call from a detective from a Police Department in Virginia that the man had several warrants for his arrest. The Brookline Police detective contacted the Virginia detective for more information on the subject. At approximately 1330 hours, Brookline Dispatch received a call from the dealership manager who stated the subject wanted to pick up his vehicle.  Several officers arrived on scene and located the subject on Boylston St. Subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Brookline Police Department for booking.

On November 27^th, an officer was dispatched to a business on Harvard St. for a report of a dispute. On scene, the stores security reported getting into a verbal argument with a customer and that customer slashed one of the tires to his vehicle. The victim gave a description of the subject, after receiving multiple reports from several witnesses who saw the subject slash the tire. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 28^th, an officer while on patrol observed a vehicle traveling on Kent Street driving considerably faster than the posted speed limit.  A query of the vehicles registration revealed the owner of the vehicle had a suspended license and the inspection sticker on the vehicle was expired.  The officer activated his emergency blue lights and initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Brookline Avenue and Aspin wall Avenue. The officer advised him as to the reason and requested the operator’s license and registration. A check with Brookline Dispatch confirmed the operator’s license was suspended. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Brookline Police Department.

On November 28^th, an officer was dispatched to a business on Beacon St. for a past report of a larceny. On scene, the victim reported going to pay for her items at the cash register and noticed her wallet was missing from her purse. The victim described missing her license, checks, debt and credit cards. The victim was advised to cancel credit cards.

On November 29^th, an officer was dispatch to Amory St. for a past report of a larceny. On scene, the victim reported going playing at a football game and his cell phone missing after allowing his friend to use the cellphone to contact his father. The victim told the friend to place it on top of a locker next to his.  On his arrival to the locker, the victim noticed the phone was missing. The victim’s mother attempted to track the phone; however, it had been turned off. 

11/20/2015-11/22/2015

On November 20^th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on James Street for a past report of a theft of a package. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from the delivery service that stated two packages were left in the vestibule of the apartment; however, only one was present.

On November 20^th, an officer while traveling on Commonwealth Avenue entered the vehicles registration plate into his cruisers laptop.  The results indicated that the vehicle had an expired registration as of October 2015 and the registered owner had a suspended license.  The officer activated his overhead emergency blue lights and siren in order to initiate a traffic stop. The officer informed the driver as to the reason for the stop and requested her license and registration, which she did not produce. The individual was placed under arrest and transported back to the Brookline Police Station.

On November 21^st, an officer was dispatched to a residence on St. Paul Street for a past report of a package theft. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from the delivery service that stated his package had arrived and was placed in the apartment’s vestibule. On his arrival home, no package was present in the vestibule.

On November 21^st, an officer was dispatch to a residence on Gerry Road for a past report of a package theft. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from the delivery service that stated her package had arrived was placed at the front door. On her arrival home, she discovered the package had been ripped open and the contents were missing. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 22^nd, officers were dispatched to a residence on Kenwood Street for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle that occurred over night. On scene, the victim reported parking his car in the driveway and locking the door at approximately 11pm. At approximately 1am the victim walked out to his car only to discover the contents from the glove box emptied on the passenger side floor. The victim reported missing a GPS and a small sum of loose change. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 22^nd, officers were dispatched to a residence on Kenwood Street for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle that occurred over night. On scene, the victim reported parking his vehicle in the driveway the day before at approximately 2pm. After speaking, his neighbor he checked his own vehicle which revealed he center console opened and the glove box emptied onto the passenger side floor. Victim reported nothing missing from his vehicle.  This matter is still under investigation.

On November 22^nd, officers were dispatched to a residence on Columbia St. for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. On scene, the victim reported parking his vehicle in his driveway around 5pm the day before.  The next morning, the victim went to the vehicle and observed the contents of the glove box and center console emptied on the passenger side floor. The victim stated his spare key was the only item missing. 

11/19/2015

On November 19^th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Babcock St. for a report of a past package theft.  On scene, victim reported getting a confirmation email stating her package was delivered on November 18^th, 2015 at 2:00pm, but on her arrival home she noticed it was missing. A review of the surveillance video shows a subject entering the building and taking the package immediately after the delivery man dropped it off. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 19^th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Harvard Ave. for a past larceny of a package.  On scene, the victim reported picking up the package in the foyer of the apartment. The victim noticed the package was open and one of the items she had ordered was missing. This matter is still under investigation. 

Indecent Assault and Battery On Beacon Street

The Department is investigating an indecent assault and battery that occurred on Beacon Street last night. Anyone who may have been in the area of 1700-1900 Beacon Street last evening around 8PM and may have witnessed  anything suspicious please contact the Brookline Police Department. 617-730-2222

On November 18, 2015 at approximately 8:26 PM, units were dispatched to the area of 1782 Beacon St. for a reported sexual assault.  Upon arrival, officers met with the victim. 

The victim stated she went to Cityside Bar (located just over the Brookline line in Brighton at Cleveland Circle) at 6:00PM.  She left just after 8:00PM and was walking inbound on the outbound sidewalk of Beacon St. 

 As the victim approached 1782 Beacon St. a male came from behind her and using his hand he indecently touched her from behind. The victim simultaneously screamed which she believed startled the subject.  He turned around and took off running towards Warwick Rd. which he eventually ran down.  The victim lost sight of him as he turned onto Warwick Rd.  The only description she could provide of the subject was a male, approximately 5'06", 160 lbs, wearing a dark hoodie, dark colored pants or jeans and a black backpack. 

The victim was upset.  She was offered but refused any medical attention by paramedics.   The department is actively following up on this case and at this time have nothing else to release.

11/13/2015-11/15/2015

On November 13^th, an officer was dispatched to residents on Coolidge Street for a report of a residential Breaking & Entering. On scene, the reporting person reported hearing thing being moved in the apartment building at approximately 0200hrs. The next morning the reporting person noticed the storage closet door located in the vestibule was open ajar and the contents were in disarray. No items were reported missing at this time.

On November 13^th, an officer while patrolling on Washington Square area observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at a marked stop sign. The officer activated his emergency blue lights an initiated a traffic stop.  The operator was advised as to the reason for the stop and was asked to produce a license and registration.  A check of the driver’s information revealed his right to operate a motor vehicle had been revoked.  Subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Brookline Police station.

On November 13^th, an officer was dispatched to a local business on Boylston Street for a past report of a larceny. On scene, the victim reported missing a sweater which was placed in her locker. Victim looked around the locker room and business, but the search proved fruitless.

On November 13^th, an officer was dispatched to residences on Garrison Rd. for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. On scene, the victim reported parking his vehicle on the street outside of his house on 11/9/2015 at approximately 1700 hours. When he attempted to use his vehicle he noticed it missing and checked the rear parking lot and the surrounding streets, but was unsuccessful in locating the motor vehicle.

On November 14^th, an officer was dispatched to Highland Rd. for a past report of a breaking and entering and larceny. On scene, the reporting person stated checking on her neighbor’s apartment periodically while they are away on vacation.  At approximately 1100hrs she entered her neighbor’s apartment and noticed it was in disarray. She observed the living room, bedroom and office were ransacked even though both the front and rear door were locked. Officers observed an unlocked rear window might have been the point of entry. Residents were called and notified of the situation. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 15^th, an officer was dispatched to Summit Ave. for a reported of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. On scene, the victim reported witnessing a subject with a flashlight looking into his vehicle. The victim stated reported nothing missing; however there was a black backpack, black glove and flashlight left on the driver’s seat that did not belong to the victim. These items were taken for evidence. This matter is still under investigation. 

11/11/2015-11/12/2015

On November 11th officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Harvard Street and Longwood Avenue when they observed a vehicle traveling by them. Officers did a random query of the vehicle which revealed that the owner of the vehicle had a warrant out for their arrest. Officers pulled over the vehicle and after they determined the driver was the registered owner, arrested the driver without incident.

On November 11th officers were dispatched to Beacon Street for a Larceny report from a building. Victim reported noticing items missing from her purse after entering the building. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 11th officers responded to a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle on Saint Paul Street. Victim reported returning to his vehicle to find all four tires missing and his vehicle on milk crates. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 11th officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Beacon and Washington Street when officers observed a vehicle make an illegal right turn.  Officers pulled the vehicle over and after running the driver’s information through dispatch it was confirmed that the driver had a suspended license. Officers arrested the driver without incident.

On November 11th officers were dispatched to Thornton Road for a past burglary report. Victim reported going out in the middle of the night and returning home to find items missing from his apartment. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 12th officers observed a vehicle traveling out Washington Street. Officers conducted a random query of the vehicle and it was revealed to have an invalid inspection sticker on the vehicle. Officers pulled the vehicle over and officers were able to determine the driver had a suspended license. Officers arrested the driver without incident.

11/08/2015-11/10/2015

Overnight from November 8 into the 9th there were three motor vehicles broken into in South Brookline, two on Beverly Road one on Walcott Road. Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and to not leave any valuables in plain sight.

On November 9th officers responded to Saint Paul Street for a report of a larceny of a bicycle. The victim reported locking the bike overnight to a street sign and returning to it the next day to find it missing. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 9th officers responded to a report of a Breaking and Entering of a motor vehicle on Wolcott Road. Victim reported that her vehicle was unlocked overnight and someone came rummaged through her vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was parked in a driveway and noticed it missing the next morning. Victim was able to give a description of the items stolen. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 9th a resident of Beverly road came to file a report at the station for a Breaking and Entering of a motor vehicle. The victim reported leaving her car unlocked and upon returning from the gym she noticed her car had been rummaged through, this matter is still under investigation.

On November 9th a resident of Codman Road reported a breaking and entering of a building. Victim reported her family went on vacation and came back to find things missing.
 
On November 9th a resident of Brook Street reported their baby stroller was removed from their front porch sometime since the 7th.

On November 10th officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the intersection of Boylston and Hammond Street. Officers observed a vehicle make an illegal U-Turn, and pulled over the vehicle. Officers were able to determine that the driver had a suspended license with no criminal history. Officers issued a citation for the illegal U-Turn and the officers issued the driver a summons to court.

11/6/2015-11/8/2015

On November 6^th, an officer stopped at a red light on St. Mary’s observed a subject operating a scooter who was not wearing a helmet. The officer activated his overhead emergency blue lights and initiated a traffic stop.  The officer advised the officer as to the reason for the stop and asked for the operator’s license and registration.  A check of the subject’s information revealed his license was suspended and was placed under arrest without incident.

On November 7^th, an officer was dispatched to a business on Commonwealth for a past report of a larceny.  On scene, the victim reported missing his wallet from his locker and noticed several charges were made to his debit card. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 7^th, an officer traveling on Harvard St observed a bicyclist without a headlight traveling outside of the bicycle lane and failed to stop for a red traffic light at Harvard St and Washington St.  Officer activated his overhead emergency blue lights and safely initiated a traffic stop. Officer asked if the subject had identification and the individual produced a Massachusetts Identification card.  As the officer began interviewing the subject, he observed the individual had difficulty answering questions and was constantly looking around not being able to concentrate. The officer checked the serial number on the bike and requested for Brookline Dispatch to run a check of the bicycle, which revealed the bicycle was reported stolen. Subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Brookline Police Department.

On November 8^th, an officer assigned to the front desk of the Brookline Police Station was approached by a Brookline resident who wanted to report an unarmed robbery.  The victim reported on 11/5/2015 at approximately 1930 hours, while waiting for a bus on of Brookline Ave, her green tote style bag was taken from her.  Victims reported being approached by a black male, in his mid to late twenties approach her, and grabbed the bag and ran down Brookline Ave. This matter is still under investigation.  

11/4/2015-11/5/2015

On November 4th a victim came to a police station to report a larceny of a purse. The victim reported moving into Brookline on Beacon Street a couple days ago. She discovered her purse was missing shortly after completing the move in. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 4th officers were dispatched to Lawton Street for a report of malicious damage to a vehicle.  Upon questioning the suspects the officers determined they were being suspicious and ran their information to see if they had any prior offenses. The officers searched the suspect’s vehicle and discovered drugs and opened containers of alcohol. The suspects were arrested without incident.

On November 4th officers were dispatched to Commonwealth Avenue for a report of a larceny of a building. Victim reported securing his personal bag in a locker with a lock. When the victim returned he noticed someone had broken into the locker and took some of his personal items. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 5th officers were dispatched to Harvard Street for a report of a larceny from a building. Victim reported monitoring a customer at a store acting suspiciously. After witnessing the customer shoplift the victim called the police. This matter is still under investigation.

10/30/2015-11/03/2015

On October 30th officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Boylston Street when officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed pass them. Officers determined the vehicle was traveling over the designated speed limit, officers pulled the vehicle over. After obtaining the operator’s license and registration the officers ran a warrants and RMV check and it was revealed that the driver had an outstanding warrant in another town. The driver was placed under arrest without incident.

On October 30th officers responded to a past larceny report of Linden Place. Officers spoke to the victim who stated that she had a packaged delivered to her address and when she came home she discovered the package had been tampered with, it was ripped open and the contents removed. This matter is still under investigation.

On October 30th officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Warren Street when they noticed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officers determined it was over the speed limit and pulled over the vehicle. The driver was able to provide the officers with his registration but not his license. After running the given information through the police cruiser’s computer it was determined the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest without incident.

On October 31st officers served a Brookline warrant for an individual who lived in Brockton. Upon arrival, with assistance from the Brockton Police Department, the individual was apprehended
without incident and placed under arrest.

On October 31st officers responded to a Breaking and Entering of a motor vehicle on Griggs Road. Upon arrival officers spoke with the victim who stated returning to her car after leaving it overnight to find the inside of the vehicle had been rummaged through and personal items were missing. This matter is still under investigation.

On October 31st officers were dispatched to Foster Street for a report of a larceny from a building. Upon arrival officers spoke with the victim who reported expecting a package in the mail of a person item mailed to her by a friend but when she opened her mailbox she noticed the item was missing.
This matter is still under investigation.

On November 1rst officers were dispatched to the Brookline Golf Course for multiple reports of several motor vehicles being broken into. The suspect smashed windows in multiple vehicles and took various items. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 2nd, an officer monitoring traffic at the intersection of Harvard St. and Webster St. observed a vehicle go through a stop sign and fail to yield to pedestrians. The officers activated his overhead emergency lights, and safely initiated a traffic stop. The officer advised the operator as to the reason for the stop and asked for his license and registration.  The officer checked the status of both, which revealed the operator’s license was suspended. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Brookline Police Station.
