Arrest

Occurred between 2:00 PM (7/04) and 2:12 PM (8/02) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter fleeing from a local store. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party, an employee of a grocery store who stated that he observed a female subject put food in a grocery bag and exit the store without paying. Officers subsequently located the female suspect and placed her under arrest for shoplifting.

Occurred 1:23 AM (8/10) – Harvard St.

Officers observed a motor vehicle drive through a blocked off intersection where road crews were working. Officers subsequently pulled the subject over in which they detected a strong odor of liquor emanating from the vehicle. Based on officer’s observations of the driver’s driving habits and intoxicated appearance, she was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Occurred between 7:57 AM and 8:57 AM (8/10) – Beacon St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, it was discovered that he did not have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a license and further charged with making an illegal left turn.

Occurred 8:26 PM (8/10) – Beacon St. / Kent St.

While patrolling, officers observed three male subjects intentionally riding their bikes into traffic causing several near miss accidents. Officers subsequently stopped the suspects to conduct a threshold inquiry. Upon investigation, officers discovered that one of the subjects was in possession of a stolen bike, stolen cell phone, and in possession of drugs. The three subjects were subsequently placed under arrest for being disorderly persons.

Occurred between 10:45 PM (8/11) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a fleeing shoplifter. The reporting party, a store employee, stated that she observed the subject place several items into his jacket. The subject was approached by the employee and removed the items from his jacket and left the store. Officers subsequently located the suspect and placed him under arrest for shoplifting.

Occurred 7:05 AM (8/12) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance by a female subject yelling and screaming in the street. Upon arrival, officers observed damage the subject had done to property including numerous potted plants and trash cans. Officers subsequently located the subject and placed her under arrest for malicious damage of property and disorderly conduct.

Occurred 11:57 AM (8/12) – Buckminster Rd.

Police responded to a possible impaired person requesting assistance. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle driving in an unsafe manner and conducted a traffic stop. Based on officers’ observations of the subject’s driving habits, behavior, and appearance, officers subsequently placed the subject under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Fraud

Occurred 4:45 AM (6/27) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a credit card fraud. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when he received his bank statement, he discovered an unauthorized withdrawal of $49.08 on his account. He informed officers that he did not know where this transaction occurred. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 9:00 AM (7/04) and 12:05 PM (8/02) – Brook St.

Police responded to a report of a past burglary. The victim stated that when she returned home from a vacation, she was notified by her landlord that he replaced her rear window screen because it had been damaged. The victim subsequently inspected her home and discovered a game console system missing. The victim believes the suspect used the window as a point of entry. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM (8/10) – Columbia St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that sometime while his vehicle was parked, an unknown suspect stole the rear spoiler off the top of his trunk. Officers inspected the vehicle and observed glue and holes from where the spoiler had been removed. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM (8/10) – Brookline Pl.

Police responded to a report of a larceny at a local school. . Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while he was inside the building, his bike was locked to a bus stop pole. The bike is described as a black, 20 speed Mountain Bike. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:00 PM (8/10) and 8:15 AM (8/11) – Summit Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that prior to leaving for work; she discovered her bike missing from her front porch. The bike had been locked to the front porch railing with a wire lock. The bike is described as a silver 2009 Giant Cypress women’s bike valued at $420. Police are following up on the case.

Graffiti

Occurred between 9:00 PM (8/11) and 9:52 AM (8/12) – Downes Field

Police responded to a report of graffiti. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that when she went into work, she discovered a large amount of graffiti on the equipment shed/bathroom area. The graffiti was written in red, purple, and lime green colors.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM (8/07) – Highland Rd.

Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Officers met with the victim who stated that sometime during the prior week, his vehicle had been entered through an unlocked door. The victim reported his silver Garmin GPS missing along with a cable cord and mount.

Aug. 6th – Aug. 9th

Arrest

Occurred 9:57 PM (8/06) – Beacon St.

While patrolling, officers approached a vehicle that had been involved in a motor vehicle accident. The driver of the vehicle informed officers that a vehicle with a Pennsylvania license plate struck her from behind and fled. After a brief search, officers subsequently located the other driver involved. Based on officer’s observations of the driver’s driving habits and intoxicated appearance, he was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Larceny

Occurred between 8:30 PM (8/06) and 9:00 AM (8/07) – Egmont St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that her bike had been stolen from the front hallway of her building. The bike is described as a purple Spirit female’s mountain bike valued at $130. The victim does not know of anyone who would have wanted to steal her bike. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:00 PM (8/06) and 10:00 AM (8/07) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while her bike was locked to a bike rack, an unknown suspect stole several parts from her bike. Parts reported stolen include the handle bar, light on the handle bar, shifter, brakes, and brake cables. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 1:30 PM (8/06) and 3:30 PM (8/07) – Lawton St. / Thorndike St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when she went to a Laundromat earlier that day she left her purse unattended for a short period of time. When she returned, she discovered her purse missing which contained credits cards, $40 in cash, and her Mass. driver’s license. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 12:51 PM (8/08) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter fleeing. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party, an employee of the store, who stated that another employee saw the suspect take two stacks of woman’s shirts and put them into a Foot Locker bag that he was carrying. When the suspect was confronted by an employee, he dropped half of the shirts and fled the store. The suspect is described as a 6'4" black male with a slim build, short hair, and a light thin beard. Officers were unable to locate the suspect but will be conducting a follow up investigation.

Burglary

Occurred between 12:01 AM and 6:30 AM (8/07) – Gerry Rd.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that while she and her husband were asleep, an unknown person entered her apartment through a window in the living room. Items reported missing include a Dell laptop, Verizon cell phone, and handbag containing credit cards, $40 in cash, personal papers, and a driver’s license. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:00 PM (8/08) and 8:30 AM (8/09) – Jamaica Rd.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting parties who stated that when they woke up in the morning, they discovered items in their home had been disturbed and the front door partly opened. The victims reported several items missing including An Apple IMAC desktop computer, keyboard, and mouse, jewelry, and personal checks. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 10:30 PM (8/03) and 6:30 AM (8/04) – Princeton Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that his car had been broken into a week prior while parked in his driveway. The victim reported a black Kenneth Cole canvas bag missing from his vehicle which contained two checkbooks, keys, and personal papers. Police are following up on the case.

Aug. 5th – Aug. 6th

Arrest

Occurred 2:33 AM (8/07) – Washington St. / White Pl.

Officers responded to a report of a person in a motor vehicle who may have medical concerns. Upon arrival, officers observed a male in a vehicle parked haphazardly in a local restaurant’s parking lot. EMS personnel informed officers that the driver was exhibiting signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication. Based on the medical staff’s and officers observations, the driver was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Burglary

Occurred between 2:47 AM (8/05) – Hammond St.

Police responded to a report of a residential alarm. Upon arrival, officers discovered the apartment door unlocked and noticed pry marks by the deadbolt on both the door and door jam. Officers conducted a thorough search of the entire building and found several pieces of evidence. The residents of the apartment were notified about the burglary and reported that very few items were taken. Police are following up on the case.

Fraud

Occurred between 8:00 AM (7/03) and 4:00 PM (8/05) – Clark Rd.

Police responded to a report of a credit card fraud. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when she received her credit card statement this month, she discovered several unauthorized transactions. Four charges were made to her credit card totaling $761.42. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:06 AM (7/08) and 11:06 AM (8/06) – Clinton Rd.

Police responded to a report of a fraud. The victim stated that when he received his bank statement he discovered a large amount of money had been taken out of his account. The bank informed the victim that the transfer was approved because someone was able to provide them with his date of birth and social security number. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 5:29 PM (8/06) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a fraud. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that an unauthorized charge of $217.95 was made on his credit card to a flower company out of California. The victim informed officers that no one else uses his credit card and he was unable to contact the company. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM (8/04) – Sewall Ave.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. The victim stated that while she was dining at a local restaurant, an unknown suspect went into her backpack and stole two of her wallets. The victim had placed the backpack on the rear of her chair during dinner and discovered the wallets missing when she returned home. The wallets contained $30 in cash, two credit cards, and her MA driver’s license. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:00 PM (8/05) and 2:00 PM (8/05) – Stanton Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that sometime during the morning, an unknown suspect stole a Fed Ex package that was left in an unlocked entrance at the victim’s request. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 5:00 PM (7/28) and 8:30 AM (7/29) – Hammond St.

Police responded to a report of a past malicious damage. The reporting person stated that as he was leaving his building during the morning, he discovered damage to the front door and lock. He informed officers that the lock and lock guard had been ripped off and the door could no longer close. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 10:30 PM (8/04) and 4:11 PM (8/06) – Harvard Ave.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that sometime during the last couple of days, someone had slashed all of his tires on his car while it was parked in the rear parking area of his residence. The victim also informed officers that a similar incident occurred two weeks prior in which he found his tired deflated. Police are following up on the case.

Assault

Occurred between 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM (8/06) – Franklin St.

Police responded to a report of a past assault and battery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting parties who stated that they had been involved in a confrontation with their neighbors from the floor below. They explained to officers that as a result of asking their neighbors to quiet down, their neighbors came to their door and banged heavily on the door. When the victim approached the door, the suspect struck the victim in the chest. Based on their investigation, police are requesting that the suspect be summonsed into Brookline district court for assault and battery. Police are following up on the case.

Aug. 3rd – Aug. 4th

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 8:30 PM (8/02) and 8:30 AM (8/03) – Perry St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that someone had broken into her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway. The victim found items from her glove compartment on her passenger seat and floor but did not report anything missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:00 PM (8/03) and 8:00 AM (8/04) – Circuit Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that sometime during the previous night, an unknown suspect entered her vehicle and stole $10 in cash. Police are following up on the case.

Graffiti

Occurred between 8:00 AM (7/29) and 8:00 PM (8/03) – Parkman St.

Police responded to a report of a past graffiti. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that graffiti had been spray painted on the side of her building. Officers observed 4 tags on the side of the building which were done in white, red, and blue paint. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 7:00 PM (8/01) and 6:00 PM (8/03) – Gardner Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that sometime during the previous days, his Weber grill had been stolen from his home. The victim had left the grill on the left side of the house, which was visible from the street. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:00 PM and 4:03 PM (8/04) – Brookline Pl.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local business. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that as she was returning to her work desk, she observed a man reach over the counter and take her cell phone. The suspect is described as a tan white male with dark hair. Police were unable to locate the suspect but will be conducting a follow up investigation.

Occurred between 12:30 AM and 1:30 AM (8/04) – Brookline Pl.

Police responded to a report of a larceny at a local school. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime during the early morning his scooter was stolen from the front of the building. The scooter is described as a 2008 gray Honda Rukus with only one rear-view mirror valued around $2,000. Police are following up on the case.

July 29th – Aug. 2nd

Arrest

Occurred between 1:46 AM and 2:15 AM (7/27) – Babcock St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, it was discovered that he did not have a valid Mass license to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for being not duly licensed and further charged with making an improper left turn.

Occurred 5:08 PM (7/29) – Commonwealth Ave.

Officers responded to a report of a customer disturbance at a local store. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store manager who stated that she believed the items a customer was trying to return were stolen. After a brief investigation, officers were able to determine that the items in the subject’s possession were stolen. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for receiving stolen property and shoplifting.

Occurred between 8:17 PM (7/29) and 10:00 AM (7/30) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of an indecent assault and battery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was working, a male subject came up behind her and started rubbing her back and buttocks. She described the subject as a white male, clean shaven, in his thirties with glasses. The store manager informed police that the incident was caught on the store’s video surveillance. The suspect was subsequently located and placed under arrest for indecent assault and battery the following day.

Occurred 1:15 AM (7/30) – Beacon St. / Centre St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he had an active arrest warrant. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for the active arrest warrant.

Occurred 11:03 AM (7/30) – Naples Rd. / Harvard St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. had been suspended and that he had two active warrants for his arrest. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for the active arrest warrants and further charged with failing to yield to traffic in an intersection and operating after suspension.

Occurred 2:38 PM – Aspinwall Ave. / Brookline Ave.

While patrolling, officers observed a motor vehicle fail to stop for a stop sign and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that the subject had a suspended Mass. driver’s license. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a vehicle after suspension.

Occurred 10:28 AM (7/31) – Boylston St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a valid Mass driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension and speeding.

Occurred 11:33 AM (8/01) – Harvard St. / Longwood Ave.

While patrolling, officers observed a motor vehicle fail to yield for pedestrians in a crosswalk and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he had a suspended Mass. driver’s license. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with operating after suspension, attaching number plates, operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and failing to yield for pedestrians in a crosswalk.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred 8:12 PM (7/29) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated that while waiting at a bus stop, she observed two individuals punch the passenger side window of a vehicle, reach inside and steal something. Officers immediately contacted the owner of the vehicle and informed her of the incident. The victim told police that her GPS, valued at $200 had been taken. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 8:11 AM (6/23) and 1:00 AM (7/29) – Stearns Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The reporting parties stated that someone had stolen the front side of their door handle from the 1st floor foyer door. The stolen door handle is described as an antique brass plate. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 8:00 AM (7/09) and 12:1 2 AM (7/30) – Carlton St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while moving his vehicle from the rear parking area of his residence, he noticed his hard-top roof was missing. He informed officers that he last saw his hard-top roof three weeks ago stored behind his building. The victim does not suspect that anyone from his building who may have taken it. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:00 AM (7/21) and 2:40 PM (7/29) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when she returned home from a vacation, she discovered her moped missing. The moped was left chained to a pole and is described as a red 2009 Genuine Buddy valued at $2,000. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:55 PM and 6:17 PM (7/31) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter. The reporting party, a store supervisor stated that while he was working he observed a black male remove a boxed TV off a shelf and walk out of the store with another man. It was later determined that the men also stole a pair of watches. Officers were able to locate one of the suspects who was subsequently placed under arrest for shoplifting. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 6:00 PM (8/01) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The reporting parties, store employees stated that while they were conducting their evening inventory they discovered 2 laptop computers and 9 digital cameras were missing. They also stated that all the items were secured to the display counter at the time they were taken. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 6:30 PM (730) and 8:00 AM (8/02) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when he went to use his bike, he discovered it missing. The bike was left in the rear alley of the victim’s building and is described as a Jamis Durango mountain bike with a red and grey frame. The victim also told police that he secured the bike with a Kryptonite bolt lock and cable. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred 11:25 PM (7/30) – St. Mary’s St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that his residence door had been damaged by a locksmith he had hired. Officers inspected the door and observed heavy damage to the wooden door frame and the door itself. Officers located and questioned the locksmith who may have been responsible for the damage. Police attempted to mediate the situation but were unable to reach a compromise between both parties. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 10:30 AM (7/30) and 9:30 AM (7/31) – Centre St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Upon arrival, the victim told police that an art sculpture, valuing around $18,000 had been damaged. The sculpture which was located on the victim’s front lawn had been moved out of place causing damage to the metal. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 2:28 AM and 2:45 AM (8/02) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The reporting party, an employee stated that sometime during the morning hours someone punctured all four tires on three separate work trucks. Police are following several leads.

Burglary

Occurred between 6:30 AM and 12:00 PM (7/29) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report a burglary. The victim stated that when she returned home for lunch, she discovered her house had been broken into. Items taken from her apartment include an 18” laptop, a diamond ring with a white gold band, and 15-20 DVDs. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 6:10 PM (7/29) – Dale St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. The reporting person stated that a suspect had entered her house and fled. Upon locating and identifying the suspect, officers discovered that the suspect was also operating a motor vehicle without a license. The suspect was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with breaking and entering, not being duly licensed to operate a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, and operating to endanger.

Occurred 2:30 PM and 8:30 PM (7/31) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary at a hotel. The reporting parties stated that while they were out of their room, an unknown suspect entered and stole a black Cannon Digital camera and 4 baseball team logo shirts. The hotel manager informed police that the only other people who could access the rooms are hotel employees. Police are following up on the case.

July 27th – 28th

Arrest

Occurred 8:21 PM (7/27) – Beacon St. / Park Dr.

While patrolling, officers observed a vehicle that was being operated without an inspection and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver and passenger of the vehicle, officers discovered the passenger had an active arrest warrant. The driver was advised of the driving violation and the passenger was subsequently placed under arrest for the warrant.

Robbery

Occurred 12:29 AM (7/27) – Chestnut St.

Police responded to a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while walking home, three males exited a van and assaulted him. The victim described the suspects as black males in their late twenties to early thirties wearing dark clothing, driving a blue Dodge Caravan. The suspects took the victims wallet, which contained $40 in cash and fled the scene. Police were unable to locate the suspects but a follow up investigation is being conducted.

Malicious Damage

Occurred 4:16 AM (7/27) – White Pl.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that when he woke up, he discovered his bike missing from the first floor hallway of his apartment building where he left it unlocked. Upon inspection, the victim found the bike across the street from his residence with both tires slashed and the handlebars damaged. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 1:00 PM and 1:18 PM (7/27) – Ivy St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers were notified that a student from a school for the disabled broke a front windshield of a vehicle during a violent outburst. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:15 PM (7/26) and 9:00 AM (7/27) – Kent St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage of a local business. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the owner who stated that when she got in that morning, she observed markings carved onto the front door. She further told officers that she does not have anyone in particular in mind that could have caused the damage. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 6:47 PM (7/20) and 6:47 PM (7/26) – Kendall St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that sometime in the past week her laptop, IPod, and computer accessories have gone missing from her home. She informed officers that she and her son are the only ones with apartment keys and there were no signs of forced entry into her apartment. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 6:18 PM (7/28) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter. The reporting party stated that while she was working a subject came into the store and took 3 shirts and 4 jeans valuing at $689 without paying. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’7 and 50 years of age with a slim build and reddish medium length hair. Police were unable to locate the suspect but are conducting a follow up investigation.

Occurred between 11:28 PM (5/01) and 11:28 PM (7/28) – Newton St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny at a school. The reporting party stated that while he was conducting an inventory of the school’s lab, he discovered that his personal laptop computer had been stolen. He informed officers that he last used the laptop a few months ago. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM (7/27) – Greenough St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while stepping out for lunch at work he left his brown Northface hiking bag in a vacant, unlocked classroom. Upon returning to the room, he discovered his bag was missing. The bag contained an IPod, notebooks, art supplies, and the victim’s house keys. Several of the victim’s items were subsequently located except for the IPod and bag. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 7:30 PM and 9:27 PM (7/27) – Kent St.

Police responded to a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle who stated that he had parked his vehicle about two hours prior and did not notice any damage. Items reported stolen include a Garmin GPS and IPod Nano. Occurred between 1:45 PM and 7:20 PM (7/28) – Brookline Ave. / Parkway Rd.

Police responded to a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that while his vehicle was parked, an unknown suspect smashed his passenger side window. Items taken from the vehicle include a Garmin GPS and some loose change. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:00 PM and 7:20 PM (7/28) – Parkway Rd. / Brookline Ave.

Police responded to a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that upon returning to her parked vehicle, she discovered her passenger side window had been smashed. Upon closer examination, she found several items missing from the vehicle including her wallet and a personal bag containing a license, cosmetic bag, $20, credit cards, personal papers, and a work ID and pager. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:15 AM and 12:50 PM (7/28) – Allerton St. / Glen Rd.

Police responded to a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that upon returning to her parked vehicle, she discovered damage to the front passenger side window and items missing from the vehicle. Items reported stolen include a Tom Tom GPS along with accessories, pair of boy’s sneakers, and a vacuum cleaner. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 8:00 AM and 2:32 PM (7/28) – Washington St. / Holden St.

Police responded to a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle with a smashed passenger’s side rear window. The owner of the vehicle was immediately located and informed of the incident. The victim examined her vehicle and reported that no items were missing. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 6:30 PM (7/27) and 9:40 AM (7/28) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary of a local business. The reporting party stated that when another employee came into work that morning, they discovered a lamp knocked over and a table moved out of place. The reporting party believes that the suspect used the rear window as the point of entry and exit from the building. Items reported missing include $250 in cash from the register and a laptop computer approximately worth $700. Police are following up on the case.

Arrest

Occurred 3:35 PM (7/24) – Muddy River

Police responded to check on the well being of a person who may have been sick or injured. Upon arrival, officers observed a subject sitting in bushes and inhaling a chemical cleaner. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest without incident and charged with inhaling a substance with a toxic vapor.

Fraud

Occurred between 12:00 AM (11/19/08) and 12:00 AM (7/24) – Walnut Hill Rd.

Police responded to a report of a past identity fraud. The victim stated that he had been contacted by a debt collecting agency who notified him that he owed $514.56 for a cell phone account. The victim had no knowledge of this account and informed officers that he reported suspicious activity on his credit report in 2008. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 8:00 PM (6/18) and 8:00 AM (6/21) – Mason Tr.

Police responded to a report of an attempted larceny of a motor scooter. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that she noticed damage to her ignition and handlebars about one week ago and sent it to a repair shop. The mechanic informed the victim that the damage done to her scooter was consistent with someone trying to steal it. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:00 PM (7/18) and 9:00 AM (7/23) – Heath Hill Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that about a week ago she took her wedding and engagement rings off and placed them on a ring holder above her sink. When she went to put them back on, she discovered both rings missing. The items missing are worth approximately $32,000. There are no signs of a forced entry and no other items are missing at this time. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:45 AM and 10:00 AM (7/24) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while working, she left her purse unattended in her office and when she returned, it was gone. Items reported stolen include a cell phone, house and car keys, and a wallet containing credit cards, checks, and a license. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:00 PM (7/24) and 5:32 AM (7/25) – Newton St.

While on patrol, officers observed a parked vehicle with a smashed driver’s window. Upon further inspection officers noticed that bolts were removed from the rear door and the door was hanging off. Officers immediately located the owner of the vehicle and informed her of the damage. No items were reported missing at this time. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 6:30 PM (7/23) and 8:30 AM (7/26) –Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a commercial break. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting person who stated that when she entered her workplace, she discovered items strewn across the floor. Items reported stolen include three laptops, a computer monitor, and a 14” TV monitor. A window screen and window were found broken which officers believe to be the point of entry and exit. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM (7/24) – Chestnut St.

Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering. The reporting party stated that after being home for approximately 30 minutes, he went into his kitchen and found the back door lock on the floor. Upon further inspection, the victim found the door frame of the back door broken also. Nothing was reported missing at this time.

Occurred between 6:00 PM (7/25) and 6:30 AM (7/26) – Devotion St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, the victim told officers that her bike had been stolen from the foyer of her apartment building. She last noticed the bike the previous night and discovered it missing when she stepped out the following morning. The bike was left unlocked and is described as a woman's blue and white Roadmaster Mountain Sport’s bike, valued at $80. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 3:00 AM and 11:00 AM (7/25) – Juniper St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The reporting person stated that when she returned home to her apartment, she discovered her rear door smashed. The victim informed police that she does not know of anyone who may have caused the damage. Police are following up on the case.

Graffiti

Occurred between 9:32 AM and 9:40 (7/26) – High St. / Allerton St.

Police responded to a report of graffiti. Upon arrival, officers observed graffiti written in white paint on two stop signs. Police are following up on the case.

July 22nd – 23rd

Arrest

Occurred between 2:33 AM and 4:13 AM (7/22) – Summit Ave. / City View Rd.

While patrolling, officers observed a subject in a vehicle and became suspicious of his activity. Upon questioning, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the subject. After a brief investigation officers found several controlled substances on the subjects and in the vehicle. Both parties were subsequently placed under arrest for possession of narcotics.

Occurred 1:36 PM (7/22) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated person. Upon identifying the subject, officers discovered an active arrest warrant for the subject. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for the existing warrant.

Occurred 8:28 PM (7/22) – Buswell St. / Park Dr.

While patrolling, officers observed a known person in a vehicle. Upon checking his license status officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass had been suspended. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred 3:03 AM (7/23) – Brook St. / Hurd Rd.

While on patrol, officers became suspicious of a group of male subjects riding bikes in an area known for recent bicycle thefts. Upon investigation, officers found bolt cutters on one of the subjects and stolen bikes in the possession of two of the subjects. Two of the subjects were subsequently placed under arrest for receiving stolen property.

Larceny

Occurred 11:02 AM (7/22) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody of a local retail store. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store employee who stated that he observed the subject try to remove a security tag off of an item and leave the store. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for shoplifting.

Occurred between 12:58 PM and 1:01 PM (7/23) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny at a local restaurant. The victim stated that while she was placing her order, she left her bank deposit bag at the counter. When she returned later, the bag was missing which contained approximately $630 in cash and a $50 check. The store manager informed officers that he did catch two suspects on surveillance video taking the bag. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:00 PM and 2:25 PM (7/23) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, the victim informed officers that two pairs of his shoes, valued around $1,000 were stolen. He stated that he left both pairs briefly outside on his porch to dry and upon returning discovered them missing. Police are following up on the case.

Forgery

Occurred between 8:51 PM (7/19) and 9:14 AM (7/22) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a forgery. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a female subject attempted to use a forged Traveler’s Cheque and fled the store. Officers located the subject and subsequently placed her under arrest.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 7:00 PM (7/22) and 7:30 AM (7/23) – St. Paul St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that he parked his car in the private lot of his building the previous night and when he returned, he discovered the windshield had been smashed. Police are following up on the case.

July 20th – 21st

Arrest

Occurred between 2:00 AM and 3:00 PM (7/19) – Boylston St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a valid Massachusetts’s license to operate a motor vehicle. The operator was subsequently placed under arrest for driving without a license and further charged with speeding.

Occurred 1:20 PM (7/20) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of shoplifters. Upon arrival, officers were able to locate both suspects and recover $258 worth of stolen property. Both suspects were subsequently placed under arrest for shoplifting.

Occurred between 11:05 AM and 11:30 AM (7/21) – Thatcher St.

Police responded to a report of a male with an active arrest warrant. Upon arrival, officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and were informed by the suspect that he and the two other male parties present had just used narcotics. All parties were subsequently placed under arrest.

Malicious Damage

Occurred 7:05 AM (7/20) – Babcock St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that her vehicle had been damaged by use of a sharp object. The four foot scratch went along the victim’s driver’s side door and rear quarter panel. The victim provided several leads which the police are following up.

Larceny

Occurred between 7:00 AM (7/01) and 12:51 AM (7/20) – Pond Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that over $6,000 was stolen from his condominium unit which he had left on his dining room table and in his dresser drawer in his bedroom. The victim is the only one with a key to his residence and does not have a roommate or friends that come over on a regular basis. He is concerned that a member part of the condominium staff entered his unit when the money was taken. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 6:00 PM (7/19) and 9:25 AM (7/20) – Park St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that he parked his bike the previous night by the back door of his building. When he returned the following morning, the bike was gone. The bike is described as a white bicycle valued around $40.

Occurred between 8:00 AM (7/19) and 8:00 AM (7/20) – Kent St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that her bicycle and market tent had been stolen from the laundry area of her building. She further told officers that she stored the items in the basement three weeks ago and recalls seeing them the previous day. Officers were told that the only people with access to the room are other residents of the apartment complex. The bike is described as a women’s specialized mountain bike. Police are following up on the case.

Graffiti

Occurred between 1:30 PM (7/19) and 8:00 AM (7/20) – University Rd.

Police responded to a report of graffiti. The reporting person stated that he found graffiti on the rear door of his property. The suspect tagged the door in two separate places using a silver and white marker. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM (7/21) – Pearl St. / Brookline Ave.

Police responded to a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that sometime during the evening someone smashed the front passenger window of his vehicle and removed personal items. Items reported missing include a Palm Treo Pro cell phone, Dell laptop computer and accessories, digital camera, MP3 player, and suitcase. Police are following up on the case.
